The after-sales service was really good at times with answers to emails outside of office hours but... I needed the after-sales service because I discovered that my initial order was unavailable but not because Poles Direct told me. It was very disappointing and really poor communication. The website did not state the product was out of stock and I only found out there was a problem when I checked what had happened because there had been no communication.
No different to a £15 curtain pole. Still two piece, still with flimsy brackets. Expected a single pole strong enough for a single sided curtain, however two piece with a silver clip for a black pole and a central support bracket. Waste of money. Go to ebay

So easy to order, I ordered 4 poles, 1 was cut to size by the company and the other 3 were a perfect fit to the window recess and batons we’d placed. Order the 35mm diameter antique brass pole, super quality and easy installation. Very suprised by the overall result!

A really disappointing experience. I have very large bifold doors and have been looking for a long enough curtain pole to fill the space (just shy of 5 metres), after trying to fix 2 or 3 poles together with no success for the last few years, I found one on Poles Direct and promptly ordered. A few days later I received an email (in to junk folder) from a courier company saying they had tried to deliver a parcel but we were not home. They didn't leave a card or anything and there was no way online to rearrange delivery. We waited a full week and no further attempt at delivery. We then repeatedly called Poles Direct to chase up the item. This involved waiting on hold for long periods of time and having people tell us that the van had broken down or they would call us back etc. We were finally told that they would attempt to deliver a few days later, that day came and went with no delivery. The following day, very early (I had not long woken up) in the morning there was a knock on my front door, before I could even get there, the delivery driver opened it my front door! I was so shocked I told him to get out and that he should not be attempting to open people's front doors! He muttered an apology and left. Then upon opening my parcel, I was so annoyed to see that this was not one long pole, but 2 short ones with a fitting to connect them together - this was not mentioned in the description of the item, if it was, then it wasn't clear or obvious. The connection does not seem very sturdy and I fear the product won't last very long under the weight of the curtains, as a result. Forced to keep it though rather than return as there is no time now before Christmas to source another one.
