The first documented evidence of viticulture in the Pieroth family was in 1675, and we haven't stopped producing wine since - in fact we still make wine from our estate in Burg Layen, Germany, where everything started for us. The name of Pieroth is synonymous with viticulture expertise, strong family traditions and an unsurpassed range of exclusive wines. Excellent customer service and expertise acquired over many years have made us the undisputed market leaders in direct wine sales all over the world. Why not come on a wine-derful journey with us from grape to glass.
Have been using Pieroth for years and love the wines! Enjoyed the wine tasting when they offered them, but now enjoying the lower prices as a result of the company dropping this service! Fantastic rep (Rory Brisby) - keeps me updated and especially good for keeping track when favourites come in. Excellent service! Calls are personalised and certainly not “pushy”. Rory is happy to venture a recommendation based on previous purchases and I’ve yet to be disappointed. If you love good wine, I would happily recommend Pieroth to anyone.
Pieroth wines are awesome . I've been buying them for over 10 years now . Full of flavour. From small vineyards hidden away. And Sam my local wine rep knows his stuff for sure . I would recommend them both . Gary Anderson.
I work for the company so am biased but that being said i buy wine from the company for myself and family and my family love the wine and say i can never leave the company lol
Excellent service and the wines are absolutely delicious. I wouldn’t have considered paying more than £7/8 for a bottle of wine but these are worth the price tag. I would definitely recommend trying!
Looking forward to my next delivery of German wines from Pieroth. My rep Sam is always very helpful and well-informed of my past orders and preferences!
I have used Pieroth for several years now and have always found them to be friendly and helpful. My current rep Sam is always very helpful. All the wines I have had are delicious and my friends always like to come my house as they love the wine.
I would just like to Comment on Pieroth Wines , been doing business with this Company for probably 7 years or more when the company used to have representatives visiting your home , this was always a Selection of wines that was in keeping with your own personal taste ( Dry , Medium , Sweet , Red , Rose , White , ) which had been decided before he Arrived previously. The Company Head Office now deals directly with the Customer, this is just a quick phone call offering New Season wines plus older favourites, the rep ( ADAM) couldn’t be more polite or helpful, he has never been any different , we enjoy a chat or a laugh or Both and there is never any Pressure Selling ( if Other businesses operated in this manor it would certainly improve their Trading ) I’ve always enjoyed their wines can’t be beaten as far as I’m concerned Especially now they deal directly with the Customer prices are very Competitive and most importantly Value for money , Staff very Helpful, Delivered with a smile on time .
We have been buying wine with this company for a few years now and it's allways a good experience . Polite friendly staff . Never had a bad wine! Rory are Rep allways helpful and keeps us informed When our favourites are in and when something new to our taste . Thank you !
I’ve been using pieroth for some time and I’ve been dealing with James who both come with a 5 star rating. Would recommend both to anyone who is passionate about wine.
If you love fine wine or are just starting your journey from shops to merchant this this is the company that you need. We used Mr James Bennett and this knowledgeable friendly young man will gently guide you through your fine wine experience and will also offer you a different direction once he has fully understood your tastes. Fine wine deserves to be experienced and Pieroth is the place to take you there. Selwyn Morgan
I have been buying pieroth wine for some years and it never disappoints , I deal with Aaron green who is professional and courteous and I will keep buying the beautifully selected wines from him .
Being buying wine for many years from Pieroth agents who visit the island several times a year. The service has always been excellent and very courteous and efficient. Our present contact agent Rory Brisby follows in that mould of his predecessors. It ready helps that the wine is exceptional as well. Look forward to seeing this standard continued.
While my family have used pieroth for a while, I am a relative newcomer. I have found it to be a great source of both new discoveries and firm favourites for our family and the friends I introduce to it. My contact, Rory Brisby, is always on hand to listen to what I want and what Pieroth can supply to meet that need from sweet to dry sparking everything in between. He’s also quick at keeping me up to date with great offers and deals which are relevant to what he knows I’ll like. Even if there was no lockdown I’d still choose this service as great wines with reliable and quick delivery.
Surprise call from Al in July with the offer of a 6 x mixed case including the Burglayer Sclosskapelle, This is a glorious wine and the taste is fabulous thank you Al for a great service and interesting conversations
Excellent wines with great experience / insight from Al
My contact at pieroth is Courtney Brickstock. Always finds me the best deals and is happy to call just to catch up with some general information. He isn't a hard sell rep and that's what I like about this company..
I have been purchasing wines for the home from Pieroth from when they traded to me under the name of 'Vicomte Bernard de Romany' which was over twenty years ago. The wine has always been excellent as has the service. Friends who have tried the wines have always wanted to know where I source them from. I would recommend them to everyone.
I have dealt with Pieroth on and of for over 20 years. The choice is always excellent, and good value for money they often have wines you cannot buy elsewhere. My favourite's include Mount Leonard shiraz, and Lobster Key a nice Sauvignon Blanc. Thanks Again Pieroth.
Sam is always at the end of the phone. Quick to respond. His recommendations have been been good so far. Happy customer:)
We have been buying wine from Pieroth since around 2003, and have built up a fair catalogue of favourites over the years. I certainly have a broad palate and can enjoy the lighter reds, whites, rosés and fizzy stuff as well as full bodied reds and oaked whites, so I reckon Pieroth have always had a good choice of wines for all palates. Pieroth wines have always been "reassuringly expensive" and when you consider how much you can spend at the supermarket wading through their ridiculously enormous range of wines just to find something half decent (and used all the substandard ones to make posh gravy), paying two or three quid extra is well worth it. Sam has been our consultant since COVID lockdown lifted, is very professional, and has gained an excellent understanding of our needs and tastes. He has made some spot-on recommendations that will likely add to our growing list of "favourites". Sam hasn't employed any double-glazing style aggressive or unscrupulous cold-calling tactics and only calls when we have pre-arranged a call when our stocks might be getting a bit low. I'm a real customer so can't make up glowing reviews on their other sales reps that I've never dealt with; some reps in the past have been rubbish and overbearing and when we've complained to Pieroth about this they have promptly done something about it. I have read some negative comments such as "Mundana has no body" which I have to agree with, which makes it a fantastic red to take out the fridge on a scorching hot summer's evening - if I'm having a chicken parmo with donner meat and extra chilli sauce on it I'll go and grab a dusty bottle of Casa Nueva Late Reserva out the wine cellar (garage) instead thank you very much (do I still sound like a real customer?). Wine taste is personal so if you didn't enjoy your wine, tell your rep. One word of warning, if you love feeling like cr@p with a stonking hangover, give Pieroth a miss as you will be disappointed - no matter how hard I have tried (and trust me, I have on occasion really, really tried) I haven't felt the least bit ropey the next day when really I should have been suffering a day on the sofa feeling sorry for myself. If that's just a myth of first pressings, then I'm happy to believe it! Cheers PS I usually don't feel compelled to write reviews, but in this case I thought I would, especially to fight back against the "fake reviewer" keyboard warriors out there. If you don't believe I am a real customer then you are entitled to that view - if you do believe I am real, then I hope my first venture into Trustpilot-land has been useful for you. UTB.
