About Parklet

ParkLet was launched in 2004 to offer an alternative to traditional parking. Parking had, and continues to, become ever more expensive and more difficult to find. Congestion and traffic is on the increase, whilst the government actively discourages the provision of parking spaces to try and encourage people out of their cars and onto crumbling public transport. The founder members had noticed unused private parking spaces in areas where parking was in high demand. ParkLet was created to offer an effective marketplace and management service for the letting of these parking spaces and garages. Over the years the team has grown, and our systems evolved to enable us to become the UK’s leading agent for parking spaces and garages. We currently have in excess of 20,000 spaces advertised to let, across the whole of the UK. Our Landlords include residential clients with a single space, as well as most of the national car park companies and councils, and most things in between. Our aim moving forwards is to remain completely focused on contract parking and garages, and continue to invest in our systems and staff so that we can offer our customers an ever improving experience.

Arrangement went well, just thought i needed a badge or something to display behind the windscreen....called landlord and she was aware of my rentsl period so thats good....thanks !

Update 23 July 2020: After a year (ish) being a Parklet customer, I was not charged the admin fee with my last (parking) tenant. I never asked them to remove this initial fee so l don't know whether it's a mistake or simply a 'good will' behaviour. ln case it's been intentional, then l'll update this review to 5 stars. Other than that, l continue being very satisfied with Parklet service and their excellent team). From day one, l've had a good experience with Parklet and every single member of their team l had the pleasure to deal with. Why only 4 stars then? 1- With every new tenant, Parklet charges me a £25 fee. Then, I also pay a monthly £26 commission. Every single 'initial month,' Parklet gets paid £130 for my parking space and keeps £51 (I only get £68.80). I find that fee quite excessive and l'll talk with them about it next time l have a new tenant. (Just to clarify, in the subsequent months, Parklet 'only' keeps a £26 commission.) 2. Parklet struggles to have a regular supply of tenants even though l set my parking spot to be let at the average price (Here, Parklet is not so much to blame, but I believe it is still worth mentioning). In my opinion, Parklet should charge that steep initial/extra fee for every new customer either only once per year or half the cost (i.e. £12.5). Other than the above, again, l'm satisfied with Parklet service and l do recommend it.

The landlord cancelled after money had changed hands and a lease agreement was in place. As if that wasn’t bad enough, Parklet failed to inform me of the cancellation. I was basically on my way to drop my car at the address before hearing from the owner that he had no intention of honouring his word. Parklet then failed to find me a suitable replacement.

I paid full money and deposit for the parking space but the space was not available. When I called space owner he said will sort it out still nothing been done. I think parklet should have verified if the space was available as end of the day is inconvenience not the good experience. I have requested for the refund let see what happens with that.

Simple to find available spaces on app. Communication was good once I enquired. I was able to pay a small amount of extra days do the DD came.out after pay day which was great. I was looking for a space a little nearer to my work originally so it would have been great to register interest in particular spot for when/if it became available. The car park space owner was very friendly and we had good communications arranging first day etc. Overall a good service offered. Thanks!

Unfortunately they charge excessively for payments by credit or debit card (even if these are well in advance). Overall not a good experience. Would not recommend.
