I wanted to add a director to companies house and searched the online links. Didn't realise that I could have done it for free and mistakingly went into online filings, paid £59.80. When I realised that I had made a mistake I tried to stop the payment without success. As a retired person and director of a small charity offering day support to people with dementia I have incurred charges that I didn't need to. Online filings did refund £29.90 so a hard lesson learnt. Don't try to make this kind of change to your company through Online filings when you can get it done via the Government website at zero cost. I am pleased to report that as of 26th september Online filing has agreed to refund the rest of the money I had lost due to visiting the wrong site to add a director to my charity's company house account. I am now satisfied that online filing has decided to accept my error at no cost to myself. This company clearly listen to their customers and are prepared to adapt accordingly.
