Super helpful and knowledgable staff (not sure what his name was, but an American gentleman helped me out with all things spring reverb when I dropped in). Never pushy or suggestive - all the reasons to keep supporting high street music shops. I tried a few pedals in store, then ordered online the following day.
It's still very refreshing to wander into a shop, look at their product range on offer (without some irked sales assistant begrudgingly acknowledging your presence), and try things before you buy them. It's all too easy to look, try... then wander out thinking you can buy it cheaper online. This isn't the case with No Tom. I was looking for a drive pedal (one from the rather splendid Catalinbread range), and spoke with a nice chap from the shop, it was and is lovely, and as my wallet started burning a hole in my pocket my party I was with dragged me off to see some more London sights. So, I did the only decent thing I could have and bought it online from them when I got home. Free postage and it arrived a day later. What's not to like about No Tom?!
Easy, safe transaction and delivery was tracked and very quick . Nice price on a new guitar in the sale. Not informed of some minor dinks.
No. Tom Guitars repaired my dad's beloved guitar for his 70th birthday. Did a fantastic job. It was wonderful leaving it somewhere I knew I could trust. Very happy with the work and the service.
Went in the shop on a rare visit to that London. Lots of nice guitars. Even the new ones had soul. Didn't buy anything due to lack of money. When I got back home I went on the web to check out their site and bought a tee shirt. It turned up the following day. Am I happy with it? Yes. What do I think of Americans? Don't ask.
I bought a cheapish chinese lapsteel but still received a superb customer service. Normally I go for high-end guitars but this one just caught my eye:-) We discussed about cheap internet shopping and what world we are living in and at some point I thought I would be thrown out of the shop. But here we go. We fully need to support shops like this with such a great service and dedication! Not only did I get the guitar but I also could encounter a great part of London's finest music history! To me this was a truely memorale shopping experience which I will remember every time playing and looking at my new purchase. Thanks a lot for that. And then I left the shop as a friend...
Great Vintage Guitar with excellent old-fashioned service!
I was not happy! On the website the item was in stock so I placed annorder and did a payment. After a few days I got a message that the item was not in stock and I have to wait 14 days. I suggest that it's better that any custumer can see if a pedal is in stock or not! I specially choose this shop because this pedal was in stock Kind regards Peter Netherlands
Ordered a strap on line which turned out to be out of stock, but excellent communication throughout. Ordered an alternative which still arrived the day after my original order.

Stopped by No Tom Guitars on Denmark Street today & was overtaken by the amount of beautiful vintage guitars! I've always wanted a vintage guitar from my birth year (year withheld :-) ) but the prices were always too high. To my shock I am now the owner of my dream Stratocaster!!! The price was just right & the staff at No Tom couldn't have been more helpful. They answered all my million questions & made me feel like a part of the family.
Chris was my first contact at No-Tom, and is very friendly and customer focused employee, pleasure to deal with. Bought guitar from him, sort of impulse and uneducated shopping, beginner excited with vintage guitar. But as it goes sometimes, changed mind 2-3 weeks after, and decided to return it. Was offered only half of the money spent, or to leave guitar in shop and wait longer, to get all of the money back. Waited for about a month, but guitar wasn't sold. When came back to enquire about guitar or possible half money back as Chris mentioned, in absence of Chris, met another chap, possibly owner (don't know his names, but of course he never mentioned it). If 5 stars goes to Chris, that that man got 0 stars all the way through! Couldn't ever even saying hi, always made me feel unwanted, almost angry I'm even enquiring about sale. His maximum is 2-3 abrupt words ("obviously it's not sold if is still here?"-patronising spring to mind?) stone cold face, "no cash, bad week, come tomorrow, Chris is coming tuesday", etc. He refused to give me half money back, without Chris being there (it's small shop and not international multi corporation, crying outloud, I had my recepit, it takes seconds to refund half money, and 50% is debatable, all other shops are doing 5-15% admin fee). As much Chris made shopping awesome, other chap made sure to change whole experience to humiliating. Arrogance, miserable and negative outlook, no customer service whatsoever, so diagonally opposite of Chris and other staff in shop. Does he hates this business? What a let down. Complete ignorance at it's best, couldn't even bothered to comment, surprised he didn't chucked me out as rubbish! As long that man is working there I walk opposite side of street whan around.

After some trouble with delivering the wrong strap and some misconception I wasn't satisfied. Once Ron Smith discovered what was going on he sent me a free second strap!!! Now that is a way of making up a mistake!! If a store acts like this it proves its loyalty to customers. Thanks so much for the great strap! I will definitely visit the store when I'm in London.
