Installation per the video is as easy as it looks; the written instructions are a bit more confusing. The black stainless steel perfectly matched our LG microwave. The mounting bracket seems solid, but the hood itself is a trifle flimsy. Haven't really had a chance to evaluate its effect on steamy, greasy foods, but the theory seems good. Looks great. Even if it works as well as hoped, and adds a little more to clean, it'll be worth reducing the smoke etc. when cooking. Great idea, hope it's as good in practice!

For years I have been seeing this product in my head...thinking dang if I could just find someone that would take a piece of metal and craft a hood that could slide under the microwave I'm almost certain in would grab all the steam and smoke and divert it to the filters!! I even tried taking cardboard boxes and putting them up to divert the flow into the vents...And finally, the other day I saw this commercial of just that!!! Thankyou so much! it works like I had imaged it would for all these years!

The hood is super easy to install and it looks great. It's quality equally matches our high end microwave.

Well the hood fits but not prefect. I see now that I will have to take the screws out each time to clean the filters. I do wish that it fit more level but the bracket sits on a ridge on the bottom of my Sharp microwave and makes it sit higher in the front. It does seem to catch more of the smoke though and so the house is not as smoky inside.

My wife is happy now so I'm happy also.

Love it - easy to install on my Frigidaire microwave. Prevents grease from flying up to the ceiling and cabinets.

Fit and function is spot on. New LG Microwave had the 4 acres as advertised in the instructions. 5 minute install. Over gas stovetop. The handle on the Microwave no longer gets hot and the glass stay clean! Looks custom!

WE INSTALLED HOOD. BOILED ONE POT OF WATER, WATCHED STEAM GO AROUND THE HOOD. ALSO, THE HEIGHT OF THE HOOD WAS RIGHT AT MY FACE AND DID NOT LIKE IT STICKING SO FAR IN THE WAY. REPACKAGED CAREFULLY USING THE EXACT SHIPPING MATERIALS AND CALLED GEORGE FOR RETURN INSTRUCTIONS. WHEN TOLD GEORGE I HAD USED IT, HE SAID IT WOULD NOT BE RETURNED BECAUSE HIS POLICY STATED THE HOOD MUST BE UNUSED/UNINSTALLED. WHEN I ASKED HIM HOW A CUSTOMER COULD DETERMINE IF IT WOULD WORK, GEORGE SAID" ARE SUPPOSED TO HOLD IT UP TO THE MICROWAVE AND SEE IT WOULD WORK".I ASKED FOR HIS LAST NAME TO WHICH HE SAID I DON,T HAVE TO TELL YOU.

I give it 5 stars but my wife makes me remove it for her frequent back burner cooking. I ended up storing it until we need it for a 3-hour spaghetti sauce or otherwise major stove-top cooking. Updated: Since the triple digit weather has come, the cover stays in place! Everyone appreciates the way it captures the heat and helps send it out of the house even when we use the oven. I guess Dad knew what he was doing after all!

Was delivered on time. Easy to install. Looks great and directs cooking smoke and steam into the exhaust fan.

I been retired for a while and my work was a steel fabricator. Every time I cooked I would tell my wife this microwave stuff was a bad idea. I told her they need to be deeper to suck out the steam. Why no hood I was going to buy a cheap hood and make something but then I seen you guys and I told her that's it. Bought it put the visor on very pleased good stainless steel looks great and it works.

It really works.I made A small steak other day end not spatter obove I love it.

We had to replace our microwave door where it seemed to have gotten steam burned from a pot who's lid has the small vent hole on top. That was $185. So was extatic when we found this hood so no more fear of that happening again. Looks good, quality product!

We love our Microvisor Hood. Really controls the steam while cooking and protects our upper cabinets.

Very flimsy once mounted and then the interior microwave light would not turn off when door closed so I removed it and the Microwave would not work at all ,had to buy a new one. Sent it back for a refund and they refused! Would never recommend this product, a very lousy company to do business with!!!

This works almost perfectly. With a pot of water boiling for spaghetti, a little steam escapes out from the sides. That being said, I would say 98% of the steam goes where it is supposed to go, so I am very happy. No more drying the microwave face and the cabinet above. My issues are: 1. The entire edge all the way around is sharp, which is really dangerous. 2. As others have stated, it is expensive for what you get. 3. I don't like the fact that if you install it you are no longer eligible for a refund. The only way to see if it is going to work is to install it. My opinion, that is not a good company policy to have. All in all, would I purchase it again....yes.

I am very happy with the Microvisor over my range because it is capturing the steam rising and keeping it directed to the exhaust fan in the microwave oven. I searched around long time to find anything that would work like the Microvisor does amd very glad I found this.
