Unfortunately had to use this company recently. AVOID at all cost (literally). No issue with the drain engineers who completed the work albeit 6hrs quicker & with much less fuss than what the company predicted when they provided a quote & appraisal of the work required. Following the work, there’s no doubt we had been provided a grossly overestimated & exaggerated portrayal of the scheme of work required. Please don’t insult me by posting your generic message to contact you directly for an ‘investigation’ we did that, utterly pointless as there’s no point talking to a wall or someone who doesn’t understand the concept of investigation. If you need any drain work that’s honest proportionate & fair in price, find an alternative provider. Simple summary, avoid.

Called Metrorod in Ely at 1230 about a blocked drain, Dan arrived within 2 hours and problem sorted. Can’t ask for more than that. Excellent service

Within of a few hours of a call, they came and unblocked drains, cleared any mess and left the place clean and tidy. Very happy with the service.

Metrorod service the drains of our commercial property every few months and always do a very good job. The food outlets on site occasionally contribute problems but these have always been attended to quickly and successfully.

Chris C came out before Christmas due to what we thought was a blocked drain in the garden, however it was a much bigger job than was originally thought! Chris was lovely and sorted the problem quickly, all in less than 12 hours from calling them. Bill was very reasonable too. Thank you Chris!! Would definitely recommend.

We had three visits fromMetrorod, turnout was fast as was their invoicing, the staff pleasant, but after the last visit and £500 poorer, it was recommended that our sewer pipe was relined at a cost of several thousand pounds. We asked many times from a written estimate for this work for our insurance company, but never recieved one. Our loss adjuster arranged for another company to provide a quotation. They put a camera down the pipe to find a drain rod with plunger blocking the pipe, presumably left by Metrorod. This section of pipe will need to be dug out before work can continue. Update, this work has now been done by another company, the septic tank T section has been found in the grass where it was thrown by Metrorod. The tank will need emptying yet again before this can be reattached. Not a happy bunny.

I have used Metro Rod twice and on both occasions their response has been good, however on the second occasion when they were requested to both empty my septic tank and clear a blockage it did not go so well. The guys who came were polite and helpful and appeared to do the job properly, however the blockage happened again the very next day. Thinking I had a major problem I asked Metro Rod to come and carry out a camera survey only to be told I would have to pay for another septic tank empty despite the fact they had carried one out the day before. I declined and called a builder friend, he came down to my property and showed me the cause and solution to the blockage - it took him 5 minutes. I couldn't believe the lads who came could not work out what the problem was, or had not come across something similar before - they work on these problems all the time! I was not impressed and will never use them again.

Metrorod are very responsive. They even came out to us on Christmas Eve after a call late on 23Dec. The office staff are always helpful and drivers know what they are doing and always very courteous.Good Value For Money. Highly recommend

Blocked outside drain from kitchen sink. Chap turned up promptly and quickly found the problem and solution. Fixed in under 10 mins - I am very happy with the service and professional work.

Two Metro Rod chaps attended to sort out our blocked septic tank feeder drain. We were worried but these guys calmly explained what was going on and within an hour had completely emptied the tank and sorted out the drains, including jet washing those that ran under the house. They were very friendly and efficient. Will definitely be using Metro Rod from now on A*

Had a blocked toilet feared the worst…gave Metro Rod a ring sent an engineer out this afternoon…He put a camera down the pipes found blockage within 15 Minutes😀 Cleared it & packed away within an hour Excellent work…explained all my questions with expertese…can’t thank Warren enough 5 Stars…Top Man…thoroughly recommend👍

Unfortunately we had an extremely awful experience with this company & their staff. Inefficient, rude & clueless! Charged double the amount for no reason. Avoid otherwise you’ll find yourself paying out twice - once for their incompetence & secondly for a proper company.
