Well after having metro rod out three times!!! n yorkkshire water came told me it wasn't the main drain it was the private pipes directly on my property am STILL SAT HERE UNDER SEWERAGE! AND UNABLE TO USE MY OWN LOO!!!! ABSOLUTELY APPALLED AT THIS SHABBY SLACK SERVICE MY LANDLORDS PAYING FOR THIS NON EXISTENT Service!!! Personally I wouldn't pay!!! And to top that, one of metro rods operatives took a piece of my property that I was using to stem the flood inside my property so therefore left me totally in the crap! Literally!!!!!! Where are u dyno rod!!!! Anyone has to be better than these!!!! This wouldn't let me write this review unless I gave it a score!!! It isn't even worth the ONE star that's attached to this so please don't mistake it as true credit coz it isn't deserved

This company should be ashamed and shouldn't be allowed to trade. This company was booked on four occasions and didn't show up once or a courtesy call saying they cannot make it. This is the standard this company sets its self. Loads of morons must run this place. Thank goodness I've booked another company dynorod. Before the company says it no I'm not advertising dynorod I'm just writing a honest review on how metro rod is being run and the clowns in charge. Hang your heads in shame.

Recently called out Metro Rod in Edinburgh. The office were so helpful and sent out two friendly and knowledgeable men who were able to sort my blocked pipe.

Went with Metrorod as one of the bigger names i know in this field, called them on the Sunday was told someone would be out first thing monday, called at 11.30 on the monday as no one had arrived - was told i was next in the queue but i needed to pay the call out fee which i did, called again at 14.45 to be told the guy was delayed but i would definitely be attended today, but i wont be holding my breath so watch this space, as suspected no one turned up so i requested a refund , so as per the review title an incredible bad service. Oh and Metro rod , please do not put the usual cut and paste reply that i have read on nearly every complaint, just be honest and say why you havent attended in the timescales that you gave out.

they turned up to my problem well within the quoted time of 4 hours. the engineer was very competent and easy to get on with.

Morgan from Metro Rod - covering Shrewsbury area - came as an emergency plumber through an insurance company. Morgan was polite, informative and spent time listening to the problem and investigating it. He removed a panel below the shower and when finished put the panel back exactly as it was before. An asset to his company.

Mich came to my rescue today in Barnsley he was very polite and knowledgeable, unblocked my drain within 30 minutes. He's a credit to your company.

Ashley from Metro Rod came and sorted a blocked drain within 24 hrs of it being reported. He was polite, friendly and efficient and I would definitely recommend the company. He is a credit to you.

Absolutely appalling services from metro rod & metro plumb.i personally would NEVER use them again especially the Reading office. I had an emergency blocked drain 13/9/2022, they sent me confirmation ,plumber was going to arrive around midnight. Waited the whole night no one showed up.i checked the progress of the the job following day and it showed plumber had visited meanwhile the whole day I was at home with my phone on.No one called me. I rang up again my insurance 14/9/2022 and was told someone will contact me ,waited and waited no one from metro rod& metro plumb contacted me on 14/9/2022 I rang them up myself today 15/9/2022 ,it went to the Macclesfield office(lady who answered was lovely) she said someone was going to call me from the reading office but from morning till midday no one called.i rang her again and she was surprised no one called so I told her I needed to head out as it's almost lunch time. She said she has spoken to them but they can't give any time frame. I did tell her I was going for an appointment and will be back later around 5pm to which she said she will pass it on to the Reading office. I asked for the Reading office's no to ring myself I rang them and the first lady I spoke to said engineer is booked for lunch time I told her I was heading out and she said oh it's the first time she has been told I had an appointment ,but throughout all my conversation I did mention . She asked me to ring again to confirm a time I will be available. I rang up about 10 mins later and the gentleman who answered was absolutely rude.he said they have been to my property 3x which was a big lie and that they had more important emergencies to attend to so I should wait till 20th September 2022 7 days after reporting an emergency and a service I am paying for monthly. I rang up the insurance company who use their services to complain about the horrific treatment ,my insurance company spoke to them to get their side of the story and it's was an utter lie,they claimed they came to the property today at 8.30am which was a big lie amongst several lies that they have contacted me several times today when actually all the calls were done by me and the lady from metrorod (Macclesfield office) can attest to this. If indeed they had been to the house today 15/9/22 at 8.30 am as they claimed, why was I not told at the first instance I called the Macclesfield office in the morning. It is the last company I personally would deal with as it's lies upon lies with no respect for timelines and emergency considering the fact that I did mention I had a minor I have asked for full investigation but doubt it will be logged from their end

We received a first class service from Adrian and Will from Metro Rod (Mid Wales & Shropshire) that resulted in us staying dry at our home in Shrewsbury after suffering from flood damage for the previous two years. Having been let down by another pump installer, Will and Sol worked very hard and methodically to fit two pumps at our property. Once the floods arrived, Adrian came out at short notice to sort out an issue that was caused by ourselves which saved our skins!

We had an initial CCTV survey which showed cracks and displacements in certain areas which were repaired by Metro-Rod. The engineers conducted an after repair CCTV survey and when they sent us a copy of the survey we noted that there are other defects which were not on the original survey. We left 2 telephone messages for the boss to call back and discuss. We never received a call. This was unfortunate! However, on the whole, we were pleased with the different engineers who dealt with our work. They were all very polite, helpful and pleasant.

I had a problem rainwater soaking and penetrating my wall associated with the guttering/drainpipe. A metrorod operative turned up in a van spent less than an hour playing with a camera on a stick, told me there were no blockages, although there might be a leak, but he wasn't equiped to deal wth it For that I was billed £140! Then I employed a local plumber to fix the leak and he found a complete blockage of the drainpipe which had caused the overflow. I;ve given one star because I can't give none.

Blocked drain from kitchen sink cleared quickly and efficiently and the technician could not have been friendlier or more pleasant! Sink now free from gurgles!

Called Metro Rod (Mid Wales) after a problem was noted with our septic tank - they were able to attend to empty and check it really quickly, and were flexible enough to empty the neighbours' tank while they were here. Very reasonable charge, clean and efficient, highly recommended and will use again.

Friendly and responsive

Wow! Totally excellent company!! Came out realised we had been let down badly by the firm who we employed to empty our septic tank, they had taken the water but left the sludge!! Metro rod came out and emptied it properly. They then came to work on our blocked pipes. The work they put in did the job but they also discovered that the pipes we thought were connected weren’t!!! The young lad (sorry I can’t remember his name) even put a camera down one pipe so that I could see what was going on! This firm is amazing, they came within an hour of being called, they sorted the problem ( it did take 3 visits not their fault but the fault of a firm that was supposed to have emptied our tank and didn’t) and they not only sorted our problem but gave me sensible honest advice!! This firm are reliable, very reasonably priced and honest!! We can’t thank them enough!!!!
