Kymberley was very helpful, explaining the new hybrid. I was able to have a test drive in the demonstrator. She also took me out again when I picked up my new car. Everything, including Toad Tax was sorted.

We are long term Honda owners and John Banks customers, but this time we didn’t find the car we were looking for at our local Ipswich dealership but in Cambridge. I have dealt with John Banks Ipswich for the last 7 years since buying my Honda vehicle. I return twice a year (MOT/Service) and have random extra visits for booked-in work. I welcome the personal client service. Rhys and Ed from the sales floor acknowledge me (which I initially thought maybe clever looking through the diary to see who was due in), but over the years they remember previous conversations which they refer to when next meeting. All the service desk staff are polite and acknowledge you if they are dealing with other clients in front. Liam, in particular, refers to me by name and recognises me as I approach. This type of service used to be the level expected, but these days it is becoming rare and the staff at the Ipswich branch do it so well. Thank you to the Ipswich Team - my visits have no hasle and are very pleasant everytime.

This time I had a service at John Banks Cambridge and was told everything was fine. I left Cambridge to drive home to Mildenhall along the A14 and A11 and noticed my car didn’t sound right. Having checked my tyre pressure was ok on my dashboard I continued to Mildenhall. When I arrived in Mildenhall I went straight to Sainsbury's but on the speed bump before getting to the Carpark I heard an awful scraping noise, and when I parked a lady rushed over and told me the bottom of my car was hanging off. I’m a single lady, who suffers from fibromyalgia and severe anxiety, I had left the service for 6 months because the last time I took it I had an awful experience with the manager who had me in tears in the waiting area because they told me at that service that I had to have a new tyre before I left the garage but they only had one that would cost me £400+ because my tyre was not road worthy. I asked to see it and they took a picture and enlarged the image to show me. So I said I wanted to see my tyre and they said I wasn’t allowed in the workshop but I insisted. The hole was so tiny I told them I was taking the car as it was and they argued with me until I was in tears. In the end they made me sign a disclaimer before they let me leave. I took the car to two independent garages in Mildenhall and they both said the tyre was fine. Since then my car has passed two MOT’s and still not had a new tyre. So then I have to take it back to John Banks Cambridge for the service to get the service light turned off and the stamp in my service book and this is the way I get treated! Again! Even after my car passed the service, with the tyre on this time!! They left the engine cover undone or at least loose at the front after they had done the oil change. I drove home in rush hour traffic, on busy main roads it could have caused me to have an accident or even caused a multiple vehicle collision. I rang them from Sainsburys Carpark at 1635 no answer, I rang 4 or 5 times no answer in the end I called the sales centre and the receptionist there tried to help but there was nothing she could do except promise me she would pass my details on to the service manager to get in touch the next day. I had to call out my disabled Nextdoor neighbour who has had his leg amputated, to come the Carpark to temporarily tape up the engine cover so that I could drive back over the hump to get home and to bring his son with him to go in Sainsburys with me because by this time I had got myself in such a state of anxiety that I couldn’t face going in on my own. The following day I heard from a receptionist ( not The Manager) who told me someone would collect my car and return it when it was done. When they bought it back the guy said he put £20 of petrol in it and gave me a bunch of garage flowers. I still haven’t heard anything from the Manager despite numerous emails. I am disgusted What a joke the reply is “in dialogue” I have received 2 emails to say it is being dealt with one to say the person I was emailing is on holiday till the 15/5/23 and since then nothing.
I took delivery of my third Dacia Sandero from John Banks Cambridge this week. I dealt with Asa Cameron from the time he picked up the phone from my initial enquiry to the handover of my new car. He has been thoroughly professional but also really kind. He knew I was rather nervous about driving an automatic for the first time in about forty years, so even took me for a 'driving lesson' - I hope I didn't test his patience too much! He kept me informed of everything by email and even remembered that I liked the hot chocolate. Thank you Asa and everyone at John Banks for such a stress free experience.
Bought a car over the Internet, and they supplied a video that I had asked for. Dealt with Ellie the sales person was fantastic went so far as to deliver my new car 285 miles which Ellie had driven to my home in Wales. Well done John Banks Suzuki.

I will tell you what made our experience great. It was our salesman Darren Martin. We were interested in a rival car from one on their rivals. Was not actually looking for a Honda. But I have always been told how good these cars are to own. So as we looked at Honda cars and suvs our salesman came out introducing himself ((Darren). He said if there was anything we wanted know about the cars he would be pleased to help and said he would be just inside if we needed him. I thought this was great cause I prefer to get help when I want it. Not pushing sales people so I stopped Darren before he went in and asked him about a test drive of the HRV we were looking at. He sorted that out immediately with a show manager fel exactly same specs as we were wanting. We loved it so bought our wonderful car that does everything safe and comfortable and fun to drive. Feel we have a great car at a good price and the best service we ever got. Thought I would wait a bit to see if anything comes up we didn’t like but we love the car even more Thank you Darren
