Needs to say you will need information from documentation before starting so all can be completed in one go if required. Everyone needs to do a HPI check before buying any second hand car so always recommend it. Don't be to put off if it comes up as a total loss as many cars are written off with small damage if the person selling it has not mentioned it is a Cat D (never touch a Cat C) run away don't touch it.

Thought to begin with was costly but at the end was Value for Money told me everything about the car that I needed to know FANTASTIC

Provided information that had nothing to do with my vehicle, so I had to spend an extra £50 to do another 3 or 4 hpi checks and they all came clean!! Done a research on the internet and I am not the only one. Requested refund via email, the person who replied failed to even mention anything about my refund! I will not use this company ever again and will inform anyone around me about the hpi report I received.

Second time I've used HPIcheck.com! Both times I've been warned about outstanding finance and advised on how to ensure it was clear, both times the finance was cleared within 24 hours and reflected on HPI check report. Online chat service is very helpful with immediate response to any questions.

Easy to use web based check - pay via PayPal or card and get the report to your inbox instantly... Then its either the peace of mind that comes from having checked the vehicle's history or the relief of having found out its a duffer before you hand over many thousands of pounds!

We were looking at buying a motorhome privately in excess of £40,000 and felt doing the £29.99 HPI was a must, it was easy to complete but most of all set our minds at rest. It's an invaluable service which without a doubt should be carried out when a purchase is considered. The only negative I see is the valuation based on the supplied mileage of the vehicle, at only £27,000 it's well under current market value of nearer £43,000. HPI guarantee up to £30,000 and perhaps this is why the valuations are so low, it's less for them to pay out if the worst comes to the worst.

I just HPI checked a used motorcycle advertised on Bike Trader. The bike looks wonderful and has everything I was looking for, so yesterday evening I rang the owner to make further inquiries. The owner told me amongst other things that he had owned the bike for several years, HPI however shows him as being the registered keeper for just 2 and a half months!! If the current "owner" is lieing about how long he has owned it, what else is he lieing about? I have no intention of finding out, so wont be buying this machine. Thanks HPI, you saved me from a potential nightmare!!!

I know £20 may sound like a lot, especially if you receive good news, it may well feel like you have wasted £20, but for that reassurance what is £20 when investing possibly upwards of £4000 - £5000? thankfully the car I wish to purchase is HPI clear. Also I did not know that you could change your HPI details within one month, so you can add a v5 if you find it out later, it doesn't have to be all at once, it also gives a good market value on the car. Would defiantly recommend.

I feel that the process of obtaining this report has been pretty simple. Just type your registration plate and away you go!. The report itself is very helpful in obtaining all sorts of information, and will come in very handy for those interested in purchasing a new vehicle; it will show up any nasty hidden surprises (if any) and guide you as to what you can do. The only shortfall which prevented a 5 star rating was the option to either save the report as a PDF, or Print the report. Unfortunately when choosing to print, I have to print the internet page, therefore resulting in a rather large consumption of paper. Again this does not affect the quality of the information that is provided, and is only a small issue which may get rectified in the future. Thanks for your Help HPI Check!
