Well the problem with the bathroom was taken care of. On the Down Side , My Waterheater is 10 years or so old. A lot of water is wasted trying to get Hot Water to other side of or when you open faceds only in garage next to water heater and kitchen… Very unhappy.

I admit I have no faith and low expectations with home warranties. However, my two claims this year went very well. I am happy with the work and end results on the two claims.

Note that many of the online reviews are fake (person posting only has 1 review to their name, a dead giveaway). These deadbeats claim to "repair or replace", the fact is that when they can't repair something (in our case, a refrigerator), they try to replace the unit with an inferior grade and model. They say, "The amount is based off pre-negotiated replacement value of similar features, efficiency, and capacity through First American’s suppliers, which is less than retail."; the fact is the model quoted was of lesser capacity, quality, and efficiency. Tantamount to offering a Kia Forte to replace a Lexus TX. Heck, if this is how they calculate value, everything is a Kia Forte. Keep away from these con artists. UPDATE: Well, looks like I got their attention. Now they are actively trying to get this review taken down instead of correcting their corrupt practices. UPDATE2: Surprise, they actually acknowledged I'm a customer. (After all, why would I be wasting my time complaining about nothing.) Let's hope they actually abide by their advertised coverage. UPDATE3: So far their response is to attempt to brow beat us into accepting their original offer of a lesser quality, capacity and efficiency builders grade refrigerator for our professional grade model. Thank God it's only a refrigerator! A quick look at their Facebook page revels many more customers in worse shape than us.
Very satisfied the the home warranty work paid for by First American Home Warranty. After the plumber showed up and saw the two leaks, he said he wanted to fix it right the first time. He called FAHW and got approval to the necessary work to get the leaks fixed in both the hot water supply line and the bath/shower cartridge. The contractor FAHW used for this warranty work was great to work with and did a great job fixing the leaks.

FAHW could not be more useless if they tried. The contractors they use are unskilled and unreliable. If, after a month of trying to get their contractors to fix your problem, they can't figure out a low-cost fix, they will tell you that you have 10 days to find your own contractor, who they will only pay about $125 to diagnose the problem their contractor couldn't diagnose. Then, they'll approve up to about $265 to fix the problem, but you only have 30 days to have the repairs completed. Again, that's after THEIR contractors couldn't figure it out for a month! Also, any time you call them, or their contractors, you're on hold from 10 to 30 or more minutes. FAHW is a scam and completely worthless.

Filed claim due to backed up toilet...they sent a service tech who did not even be concern about toilet. He went to clean out ran his camera and said line stoppage was problem. I ask then why is toilet on other side flushing just fine...he couldn't say. I request another plumber...have been smelling raw sewage for 7 days and Christmas...I finally called a plumber who removed toilet and ran his line that unstop blockage. FAHW said claim closed due to fact I should of contact them before resolving problem. They were not here mopping floor and smelling sewage....After 7 years service I'm canceling my policy....horrible service and could care less
