I have been trying to verify my bank account for 3 months. I sent the small deposit to Degiro 3 times now and 3 times they have returned and refused to verify my bank account. I have effectively lost access to my savings for 3 months. Only now today have they come back to me and said that there is one small difference in my name (a space in my surname) in their records and on my bank statement. This is a pedantic reason to refuse to verify my account. They have blocked my access to my life savings for three months because they don't understand irish surnames.
