I called to cancel our plan before renewal, as we have other insurance. Online, it says that their hours are until 8 pm; however, once a representative finally answered, I was told that the "cancellation office" was closed. Today, I have been waiting over an hour now to speak to someone regarding cancelling. . .I'm beginning to feel like this is a system to keep people from cancelling. . ..sigh. . so tired of the games. . .

I decided to buy a discount eye plan! I totally wasted my money! I'm better off not using it and go where I want to get my eyes checked! If you don't purchase a pair of glasses the day you get your eyes checked it costs you almost triple for the visit! What a scam. If wasted $50.00.

Don't sign up with these jerks...I'd give this Careington outfit a negative zero, if I could. I retired in 2019, and chose Careington for my dental insurance. Shortly afterward, I had my teeth cleaned and my Dentist's staff filed the claim. I assumed Careington paid my dentist and I owed a nominal amount. That's until I got an EOB (Explanation of Benefit) from Careington in February, 2022, explaining I owe the entire cost ($258.00) The EOB showed I owed $74.00; however, it showed Careington paid $0, and I was on the hook for the entire amount. Folks, there are better insurers out here. Don't sign up with these smoke & mirror SOBs!

Lies don’t use them. I got the run around from the Careington care 509 customer service people. I gave them specific procedures and doctors names and they gave me exact contracted prices for specialty procedures with those providers. Quoted exact prices that where for the exact Endo provider that was more that 67% off. Then they gave me exact prices for crowns for Aspin dental that where more than 64% off. I paid for the service got all the information and then when I contact the providers to set up the procedures I found out I was completely lied to. That it is only a 20% discount. And both locations confirmed this. I called back and was lied to a 2nd time. Called providers back and told them they must be wrong. When I called carington care 500 rep back again I was told it was only a 20% discount. I got a manager on the phone and he confirmed that I was lied too. I suggested he listen to the recordings and place action on his sales people that will come right out and lie too you. He refunded me my money. I would never do business with this Company. There is never more than a 20% discount with carington care 500 on any specialty procedures. How many people find this out to late to cancel

I wish it were possible to give them a 0 or a negative review. I paid into their program for a year and when I needed them it was absolutely impossible to get help. First, they never sent my card. Second, after talking to 5 or 6 people in the Philippines, I finally got my member number. I gave it to my dentist and Careington customer service acted like they had never heard of such a number. I called back and was assured that my dentist could email them and they would provide the necessary information. That never happened. Finally last week I just canceled and paid 100% out of pocket. The ONLY thing Careington customer service did promptly and efficiently was cancel my policy. I think. I'll have to check to make sure they're not still taking money out of my account for a service they refused to provide. DO NOT use this company. All customer service in the Philippines is terrible, but Careington's customer service takes it to a whole new level. They lie, they're rude, and they are incompetent. DO NOT purchase this product. You WILL be sorry!

Joined the plan in June 2020. Never received membership kit in 7-10 business days. Savings were a big zero with the plan. Trying to cancel has been nothing but a problem. BUYER BEWARE

Careington is very slow to pay dental claims and pays very little on them. Next year, I will be looking for a new senior dental plan. After they process the claim, it takes weeks for the check to arrive.

Beware of Carrington 500 plan. My wife and I just found out you cannot cancel a Carrington policy and get a refund. We love our dentist but he has stopped honoring Carrington, so my wife called to cancel for the seven months remaining on our policy and get refunded on the balance, but they do not allow you to cancel. This makes no sense to me. I can cancel my car insurance and get a refund, same with health insurance, but not with Carrington. Just want everyone to be aware if you pay yearly, you are locked in for the whole year, which I find very unreasonable and certainly not customer friendly!

My wife and I have had a Careington Plan membership for years and it's saved us a lot of money on procedures. It's much cheaper than dental insurance which in most cases only pay part of the bill anyway and has annual limits that are easily exceeded. This plan has no limits on how much you can use it. It's apparent from the few negative reviews that some people just don't understand how discount plans work.

Illegal practices. Careington ACE dental plan representative claims that the dental plan gives 50% discount for fillings. Absolutely not true. The total amount I paid $444 includes Careington‘s fee, however without this discount plan I would pay $380. This company established their own prices, but if dental office has lower prices you still pay Careington‘s price. I received discount 9%, but altogether I paid $65 more.

Very bad experience!! Im enrolled in the Carrington 500 program. It was very easy qualifying yet my procedure was done in November 2019 and Carrington has yet to pay the my services. I've reached out to the person that signed me up through health markets.. He said he was on his way to the office and would look into it and call me back but of course he never did. I called him back several times and he is not accepting my calls. I called the main number and left several messages as well with no response. They are continuing to take money out of my check and not providing the services at the 40% quoted to my dentist.. It is so sad a customer has to go through this nonsense. Don't want to cancel just yet until I get a response from going this route to get some resolution. Signed: Very disappointed customer!!

Rest assured, you will not pay the price that is listed on this companies discount program list. Aspin Dental is on the list, and they do not actually honor the prices with this discount program even tho they are listed! Don't waste your money on this. It is less expensive to pay $35 a month to an insurance company. They cover fee preventative maintenance such as cleaning, and x-rays. For example, on the list of coverage cost, A periodontal maintenance cost is $71, Aspin charged me $163.00. For a simple abstraction $60, I was charged $150.00. Aspin made every excuse in the book as to why my cost was higher. Again, don't wast your $$$$s on this discount program with the hopes of saving lots of money. You're better off getting normal dental insurance coverage because, in the long run, you're going to be paying more money! I do not recomment Aspin Dental or Carrington Care 500.
