Very convenient size; sharpens concave blade very nicely. Steel unscrews from handle which is then a sheath. Only time will tell if the steel/plastic screw is sufficiently long-lasting.

Excellent company. I wanted to replace a tomato knife that must have been 30 years old, and so I looked online. Butchers equipment came up with a well priced one from Victorinox and I bought 3 because there was an offer. Wow, I wish I’d discovered these 20 years ago! My arthritic hands find it really hard to hold knives and cut veg like aubergines, because of the tough skins. With these Victorinox tomato knives, it’s like cutting through soft butter, as the saying goes. They are a dream and I would highly recommend them. I would also recommend Butchers equipment for their customer service. I rang to ask about another knife for cutting other stuff and was given really helpful info to help me decide. Great company - proper old fashioned well produced merchandise and great customer service.
