I bought my Revolution Pro Heat Evolution 2 x last year, used it once and was deterred from using it again due to the large amount of carpet fluff that was generated. With Winter spills of Red wine, tea and foot traffic - but no longer having a cat - I thought it time to risk another attempt at cleaning the living room. Just like the first time this beast of a machine generated small piles of fluff (woollen) behind the machine, accumulating it inside the clear plastic head and in all the ducts, requiring constant removal with the T tool provided. It also formed on and behind the rotors, being the source of the fluff discharged by the machine. The one place it didn't accumulate is on the red filter, which needed no cleaning at all! Yes, it supplies a good flow of liquid and is good at sucking it up but this machine requires a lot of maintenance between uses and is more akin to a lawn mower than a cleaner, so has to be used sparingly to preserve the carpet (mine being very short and old). Other negatives are that there is no way to adjust the twin brush rotors for carpet pile length or even turn them off whilst using the hose attachment, so it needs to be stood on a block of wood if cleaning the car on a gravel drive! The 'User Guide' is entirely illustrations which is not always clear about details. I had high hopes for this machine having inherited and owned a more modest Bissell before, but have to say that it's rotary brushes are more powerful than required and leaves me yearning for the simpler agitator bar of old. A costly learning experience and one that other reviews had not prepared me for before buying.

I like the brand, but I just think i ordered the wrong floor cleaner i don't like it personally . But i cant return it just because I don't like it unless its faulty.

Our steam mop quite working so I thought we needed a new filter, and ordered one which was delivered promptly. Sadly, this was not the problem, but rather, the round pickup ball at the end of the clear plastic tube was caked/clogged with mineral deposits. Once I realized this problem, I removed, cleaned, and replaced it, steam mop is now back in service, so the spare filter is now in storage as a spare if/when it is needed.

Crosswave Hydrosteam Pet for tiled floors. Superb response from Bissell with order made at 3.55 p.m. and unit arriving the next day as promised, all in order and well-packaged. The actual machine performs well, but not great. It cleaned well on the hard-floor setting and slightly better on the steam setting. The steam is not plentiful, but appears to help, so we will most likely use it on this setting all the time. The bigger disappointment is the noise, the size of the containers and the cleaning cycle. My wife is having to wear ear muffs while using it and both the fresh and dirty water tanks empty and fill quite quickly, so visits to the sink are more frequent than expected. Occasionally it spews dirty water when full as there appears to be no cut-out, even though there is a float valve in the chamber? The cleaning cycle advises to fill the fresh water tank to a given level which is almost a full tank, yet the cycle lasts less than 30 seconds and uses a fraction of the water on the tank. Running the programme twice (as suggested) helps get the roller reasonably clean, but there is no drying cycle and it is recommended that after using this cycle, to then wash the roller in soapy water and dry it, which we have not needed to do as yet, hanging the roller on the cable hook to dry. Overall, we are pleased with the dirt it is removing, however, there are elements that would benefit from improvement.

I love the concept of my BISSELL Cordless Crosswave hf3. It is really simple to use however, the reason for the 4 stars is: My floors do not get dried by my machine and the bit for the water and cleaning fluid does not stand upright. It also leeks water if you hold it up right.

It seems a much more robust machine to its nearest competitors.
