This company seems to be getting a bad reputation at the moment however it looks more like people borrowing when they can't repay. I needed a loan last year and this was my last option. They were absolutely fantastic and sorted it all very quickly and effectively. I have paid on time every month and had absolutely no issues at all. I would return if I ever need a loan in the future. Don't get debt that you cant repay is the only thing I will say on the matter. People are ridiculous.

They are loan sharks!!! You ring them up for advice regarding corona virus and they panic even though you assure them you can pay up as agreed, and go after the guarantor demanding payment!! This nearly made me commit suicide! DO NOT ISE AMIGO UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES!!!!

First experience was great, very fast and didn’t have to do much. Then when I requested a top up I still used the same guarantor, however nothing changed with my salary, or my guarantors salary or bills etc therefore I was expecting a fast process of them reviewing and speaking to us then paying it out. Bare this in mind I have never missed or made a late payment as it’s direct debt. So, when I request a top up they wanted my details again, then wanted my guarantors details again. Then they wanted to speak to me, then they wanted to speak to my guarantor for the first time over the phone. They then asked me for proof or my income via pay slip, which slowed the process, then they wanted to speak again to my guarantor and ask her the first lot of questions then they said they will contact her again. Then, I was the one who had to contact them as it took so long, then I had to put them through to my guarantor where they had to ask her more questions followed by filling out a form so They can get access to her bank statements. Then they had to review her statements and then also ask her more questions over the phone before even paying it out. Bare in mind the only time they actually contacted me was the first time I applied, and the day they payed the loan out to my guarantor, I had to keep on ringing and emailing to see what was going on as I was waiting over two weeks for this process.

Amigo is a great company to go too wouldn’t change it

I had to travel abroad to a wedding. Had cash flow issue so I borrow £1000 September 2019 with 12 months repayment. (About £250 interest) It was easy to apply. They didn't ask me.amy awkard questions & the money was in my gurantor account the next day. My credit file is not good so I was very happy to get accept ..Had a great time at the wedding :-)

I was a few days late paying . I had none stop texts and emails off them. I am a guarantore for my son. He called them to explain he has to self isolate due to his health but they wasn’t interested. I managed to get money to pay them but there texts and emails won’t stop saying that David needs to call them as the extended breathing space as passed. Lol I’ve paid them. They have no compassion and they will not give more time to pay only 3 days. I am at home now in quarantine due to the Coronavirus and I have symptoms and asthma. Amigo please leave me alone There’s letting us know and hounding even when we have paid and you’ve done nothing but hound me. Constant texts and emails even after I paid. I even asked for a bit more time to pay and you wasn’t having it. Your bullies

My hours were cut at work at the worst time of the year & I wouldn't have been able to pay my car insurance this year without them. Meaning I would've been stuck without a car. All the staff I spoke to were so lovely even when I had bad phone signal. I didn't have to send in embarrassing bank statements, all was done over the phone within 2-3 days. The amount is taken out automatically every month so I don't have to remember to pay it. Yes, the interest rate is higher than most places, but they really got me out of a sticky situation as I can't ask friends or family for help. Surpised at the bad reviews. Will use again without a doubt after I've paid this loan off. Thanks Amigo!

This was a top up of my existing loan, can’t speak for my Guarantor but the process from my point of view was fast, easy and straightforward, don’t try other Guarantor loan companies, take it from someone who tried the others and I have a good credit rating, the other companies were hard to deal with and treat me like a naughty boy for having credit etc, no such thing here

Waited a long time to get my loan but the lady I spoke to today was amazing and sorted everything out and got it paid out straight away so I’m a happy customer.

They didn't carry out the right checks of affordability didn't check to see what my financial situation was like and then when you as for help the say one thing do another then leave you screwed Update. So quick to chase you for money when you owe. I put complaint in in February and haven't received my figures yet and ive now been waiting 19 days over the expected time frame . I am highly disappointed in this unprofessional company F u

Ohhhhh I wish I’d read reviews here before telling the garage to go ahead with the repairs costing £846. Thursday night my guarantor was told everything was complete and the £1000 loan would be paid out between 2-48 hrs. Now excluding Sunday we are 72 hrs and counting, spoke on the phone to them and now they need to speak to the guarantor again. Should never have been told on Thursday that everything was complete and a payment was imminent because now I have a mechanic calling me asking when I’m going to pay him for the work carried out. If we were given even the slightest indication that the loan may take a week or more to finalise I’d have told the garage to hold off replacing the burnt out turbo on our car. I’ve left a 2 star review with an option to re review should this delay be sorted out quickly UPDATE: My guarantor has spoken to amigo and we have had an apology for the delay and an assurance her bank statements will be reviewed tomorrow. Sorry amigo that’s not good what should have happened was on Thursday night the loan caseworker should have said,”sorry there is a backlog we will review your statements as soon as possible but it may take a couple of extra days.” Instead of,”all done the loan will be paid out within 48hrs”. What happens now if you after all this decided not to release the loan to us. I may face legal action against us by the garage that has carried out our repair in good faith. Not good amigo @amigo in reply to your response I am in no way criticising your policy of being a responsible lender but the transparency during the process we should never ever have been told the loan was about to be released, this has plunged me into a period of intense worry regarding having funds I thought I was guaranteed to have to pay for our car repair when actually truth being told I may still be turned down
