I needed a region-free DVD player to accommodate purchases made in Europe that were not compatible with North American region compliance. Bombay Electronics was able to supply a very inexpensive device for this purpose and shipped it to my home in Canada within days or placing the order. FedEx shipping was inexplicably delayed by a day and then left on the porch, which I didn't like. However, I am happy with the player and the price; no other company had the older model moded in stock anymore. The Sony blu-ray player with region-free mod works as expected. It plays my region 2 DVDs, and it still streams Netflix, HuluPlus and Amazon, even after their required software updates.

Received my order in time. It could have been packed in a Better box to avoid small 2 dents on Transformer. Also there was no guidance booklet. otherwise all ok. it works.

I live in Norway and am tired of region restrictions of Blu ray films. Lots of titles are released in the "region A" of USA, that do not seem to get a "region B" release here in Europe. I have been using a PS3 for Blu's ( restricted to region B only ), and a region free DVD player for my import DVD discs. I'm sick of mutilple players and wanted the whole lot in one single console. So I ordered the player from Bombay electronics, who I found online. I entered my payment on a wednesday night. According to the online postal package tracker , it was shipped the following day, thursday. I chose the option of a Fed Ex delivery, and it took exactly a week for the player to arrive. That's quite impressive for an abroad delivery from the USA to Norway. Not only was the delivery very quick, but the package was delivered right to my door by Fed Ex. I was expecting the package to go through the Norwegian postal service, which would have cost me a ridiculous customs fee of 25%. I'm very grateful for Bombay's excellent service and would recommend Bombay to any of my friends. The prices are fair and square as well.
