Ik bestelde bij City-Bikes.nl een Spirit damesfiets met een framemaat van 50 cm, maar ontving een model met een framemaat van 57 cm — veel te groot en volledig onbruikbaar. Het ergste was dat ik vooraf niet werd geïnformeerd over de onbeschikbaarheid van de juiste maat, terwijl die nog steeds als beschikbaar op de website stond. Na mijn klacht werd het probleem niet opgelost. Mij werd meegedeeld dat ik de fiets alleen kon retourneren als ik hem zelf demonteerde, wat voor mij fysiek onmogelijk is. Omdat ik vertrouwde op de winkel, heb ik de doos niet gecontroleerd voor montage. De verkoper wilde geen verantwoordelijkheid nemen en stelde alleen voor om de fiets opgehaald te laten worden tegen een extra betaling van €60. Uiteindelijk besloot ik uit wanhoop de fiets te houden (waarop na enkele dagen al roest verscheen) en vroeg om compensatie. De winkel bood slechts €15 aan — totaal niet in verhouding tot hun fout, de gemiste onderdelen én mijn extra kosten. Deze ervaring was bijzonder teleurstellend. Geen empathie, geen klantgerichtheid, geen verantwoordelijkheid. Ik raad City-Bikes.nl absoluut niet aan voor wie eerlijkheid, service en betrouwbaarheid verwacht.
