The chainsaw I bought works perfect but had to wait nearly a week for it to be delivered on the web site says next day delivery so would ring them first if you order anything
Bought a Stihl chainsaw recently, it arrived very promptly via Hermes, however, an extra chain l ordered was missing from the packaging. I contacted the company and the chain was despatched immediately, good service, recommended.
Ordered chainsaw 3 weeks ago and it was never delivered. I had the correct address on the order and they delivered to the wrong address. They were unable to sort it out and 90% of the communication was initiated by me. Several promises made to sort out their mistake were never fulfilled. Robert was sincere and tried very hard to rectify things out of his control. I ordered an engine, I was given reason to believe it would arrive the next day (since I ordered it at 7.30 am). I first rang because I had not received any delivery information regarding my order at the end of the following day, only an order confirmation with the status "confirmed". I was told that they have never had that item in stock, this troubled me so I quoted the website that said "in stock guarantee", I was told that it was in stock with the supplier Honda (it later transpired that what I ordered was not in stock with the supplier either but I received an upgraded item that I am happy with). so I had been misled twice, no next day delivery and the item was not in stock. The Marketing department of companies can sometimes get carried away with what they want to think they can offer and what they can offer, from experience, it is best to only advertise what you really can guarantee and if you deliver better service then it's a nice surprise for the customer making a positive experience (a neutral experience would be if everything went as described on the website). unfortunately Honda didn't really pull their weight in completing their part of the process so Robert was not left any shipping information to pass on to me, which from my point of view made me feel anxious as to the credibility of Webster Power Products. Two things need to be sorted. 1. There is inconsistency on the offerings of next day delivery, on the front page it says "free next day delivery on all orders over £100 inc VAT" but when reading about delivery on the information page it redefines this as "Standard Delivery is FREE for orders of £100 or over and is usually next working day" this is false advertising. 2. Advertising " in stock guarantee" when not only is the "in stock" notification not linked to the stock control system but also is for an item that will be sent straight from a supplier AKA Drop Shipping. this is another advertisement that is false. in the end I got the engine and everything was ok but it was frustrating, so next time I will pay a little more to get it from a seller I trust already. I spoke to a member of staff after seeing the Hedge trimmer online at a very competitive price, as I wanted to make sure they were a real company. I then ordered the item online, and it arrived the following day. Confirmation emails of my purchased arrived, and They also sent me two confirmation texts by mobile phone to let me know the hour of delivery. I found using this company very easy, and would happily use again.
Free Next Day Delivery took more than a week...…. Having said that, the Stihl hedge trimmer was exactly as ordered and cheapest on the internet.
