Bought a new flat with a Vado kitchen mixer tap. In 7 years have had two leaks, first fixed by replacing a cartridge (£30!!) , second one I can't fix and so far Vado have been completely unresponsive via email. Premium price, budget product and support. Definitely won't replace with Vado. EDIT: Does anything think it's ridiculous that the only way to get support from Vado is to leave them a bad review here and then specifically email them again highlighting you did that?! No thanks, Vado. This is not how to do customer support.

Moved into a house in an area with horrific limescale issues where the prior owners hadn't serviced either Vado shower for ten years. As a result, both were completely caked up to the point where I couldn't dismantle them to service them. Because I couldn't get the parts dismantled, I couldn't get inside the housing to spray limescale remover. I was looking at two new showers. Even though I have no warranty, Vado's Aftersales team talked me through a series of steps to break down the limescale from the outside. Once dismantled, I found one shower with a broken part and the other leaking from the isolation valves. They helped me with part numbers and instructions on how to fit each part. Thanks to Vado's aftersales I don't have to replace two showers. Phenomenal support, I can't speak more highly of them, particularly Aaron and Lewis.

An exceptional service from all at VADO. I had the pleasure of dealing with Aaron, Jess and Louise and not only were they very efficient, timely and a pleasure to deal with, when my plumber arrived today to carry out repairs on the thermostatic valve and faced difficulties, I called the helpline on his behalf and they provided a solution within minutes. I couldn't be happier with the aftersales service level and their 10 year warranty which is great value all things considered. Keep up the great work all, kindest regards, Vin (Vista Way, Harrow)

Ditto with the gentleman who pointed out the guarantee is only valid for the first owner. I had the same experience when I contacted Vado, very disappointing. The unit started to leak and now needs replacing, together with all the tiling. It will not be replaced with another Vado unit!

Company with dubious warranty promises. Apparently, the 15 years warranty applies ONLY to the first owner of the property IF the owner registered within first 2 years. Vado shower unit started leaking after 7 years and I am second owner. Guess what VADO left me with? You know with what.. Avoid the companies which have small print on the warranties and be careful of marketing claims. Vado still puts an advertisement of 15 years without preconditions on their website for the units. Company with no honour.

My digital vado shower broke for a second time and required replacing after 7 years. It was replaced after the first three years and three a bit years later the same fault has occured again. I contacted Vado and they looked up my details and then stated my 15 year guarantee for my Vado Identity shower is only valid for the chrome not the parts which only have a 5 year guarantee. The first Vado representive said I would need to buy a whole new unit. I asked are their units only good for two or three years. She claimed no, that some customers still have units working seven years after purchase. Hardly an impressive accolade. Having spent £1700, on this shower I expected to last longer. I initially started a process to find a new unit from an online supplier as Vado have discontinued this range. However, following my feedback on trustpilot I was contacted by Jess from Vado. She decided to provide me with a replacement for free as a good will gesture. I wish this had happened in the first place. Jess was fantastic confirming she had sent the replacement and checked to see if I had received it. Vados other representative could learn a lot from her. I have edited my original message to reflect these actions, and adjusted my score. From one star to 3. Had I interacted with Jess in the first place I would have given 5 stars. I'm grateful for Jess sorting this issue out. Thank you.

Had the unit installed in September and it took until February to get a replacement. Engineer came out twice and was rude and arrogant. We were made to feel that we broke the unit and next it was blamed on a plumbing issue. Unit finally replaced but the same issue still occurs. No constant temperature and the unit sounds like a jumbo jet taking off. I regret not putting in an electric shower as it would have been a cheaper and more straightforward option. Avoid this brand as it's crap.

The best after sales customer service I have ever experienced from a company of this size. I had an issue with my shower unit and it was resolved by Matt in the after sales team. Great communication and experience. I would 100% recommend Vado to friends and family.

My Identity Control unit (IDE-147-C/P) fail on a Saturday morning but in a way where the main shower was permanently on! I could only stop it by turning off the mains water. Louise at Customer Service was amazing. I emailed Vado immediately and to my surprise Louise responded immediately saying they would send out a replacement on Monday. They did. It arrived on Tuesday afternoon and fitted immediately. Perfect service. It is not often these days it works so smoothly. Thanks Vado, thanks Louise

Amazing quality and performance. We have two Vado Sensori digital showers and both have worked perfectly.

Disappointed with my digital shower as it goes cold after a few minutes. It was only installed in January. Vado sent an engineer out twice, have changed the unit, and also the shower hose which was warping inside, and are blaming it on my 3 yr old boiler. I’ve had the boiler checked and there is no fault. The boiler works perfectly well for everything else in the house, including our other digital shower (Aqualisa). They are now charging me for the call outs as they are blaming the boiler (one of which was in February - it is now mid October). We’ve come across a solution ourselves which is to turn our sink tap on while we are having a shower and this keeps the temperature constant, not ideal but better than the water going freezing cold. Get an Aqualisa if I were you.

I have a aquablade square showerhead 300mm, which was purchased and fitted 5 years ago. Sadly it has rusted and the metal has flaked off around two edges and become unusable, which has led me to purchase a new replacement one of the same model. I understand that there is a 15 year warranty on the item, and I would like to return the corroded orginal to you for inspection...I could provide photos if that helps.. What's the next steps here? Response from Vado… I am afraid I am unable to find your details on the extended warranty database When prompted by email…no response since 14th September… UPDATE: 10/10/22: "It’s been drawn to my attention that we’ve been unclear as to a resolution to your query, my apologies. As the products have not been registered for the guarantee, we cannot offer to take the head back for inspection. Kind regards," So...you manufacturer a product, a user of that product when it fails, goes out and buys a replacement (exactly the same model) and suggests you might want to inspect this one to learn more regarding its usage over time...and you respond as above. Hmm...given the above response, I will recycle the old unit at my local recycling centre. Oh..and I won't be registering my new replacement shower head and I won't be buying another product from Vado again.

Bought a Vado shower valve and shower head just over 12 months ago, it’s worked perfectly without fault. This brand is very well produced and the detail to design is second to non. I would definitely recommend this brand to anyone thinking about fitting out a bathroom.

Our electronic shower ( Model # IDE-147B-C/P) failed. It was just out of the 5 year warranty and initially the after sales team said the only way to resolve the problem would be for me to purchase a new control box at £700. After a few e-mails the after sales team (Matt) and engineering support (Steve) responded extremely well. They arranged for me to purchase from them ( an event not normally "allowed" ) a low cost replacement PCB as that was thought to have failed, but after fitting it the problem still remained. VADO then sent out at their cost an excellent 3rd party engineer who came, within a few days, fully prepared with a new control box and within an hour the problem was identified as a failed external transformer. VADO - you did an excellent job in maintaining a happy customer, and I will mention this to all our friends - many thanks for working with me to resolve the issue John Wokingham, UK

Bought a beautiful kitchen mixer tap 5 years ago and has worked just as it should until about 6 months ago when the hot tap started constantly dripping when turned off. Called the plumber out who’s took the tap apart, only to tell me that the hard water has damaged the inside and I now need a new tap. I have never had any issues of this kind so I am very disappointed as I really like this tap and I paid good money for it!

I have had at least 3 Vado shower tap mixers in more than one location over the last dozen years or so. After a few years the (imho> badly designed) temperature control part of 1 shower mixer seized up. Vado replaced it after quite a bit of chasing. Unfortunately the replacement went too after 3 or so years and then the cartridge started leaking despite periodic removal and cleaning. 10 years on and I junked the arrangement at £600 cost to me. In a flat I own the Vado shower mixer knob thread has died (again maybe 10 years in). Their products undoubtedly look nice and generally function well, and (continue to be offered to me by plumbers who say they are good) just maybe I've been unlucky, but because of the product life (you may think 10 years is ok, I don't) and customer service I now avoid Vado.

Taps fall apart and peel after less than five years of use. Vado blames hard water and tells you off for not wiping your taps after each use and agrees 'to replace parts' so you end up disassembling mixer taps and replacing one peeling base with a new one. So buy Vado only in case you want all this hassle. Otherwise go with Grohe or even someone less upmarket as Bathstore, whose taps will last for decades without such problems.
