I booked Universal Relocations shipment for my transfer from the USA to India.From the booking until the delivery at my home in India, the follow-ups and the response have been absolutely great. They took care of entire documentation themselves. Both pickup and delivery persons were very polite and did their best to keep our things safe. They were extra cautious on the fragile boxes too. Special thanks to Ms. Sini, move manager … she has been very professional and constantly in touch with us on our shipment and post delivery status check as well !

It was a mixed bag of experiences, few horrible but mostly amazing. First the Bad part: We had to relocate with couple of months in hand, and had approached Universal to get a quote for moving our 2 Bedroom apartment from Charlotte, NC, USA. Because we had a lot of things to take care at the same time, opted for the compete Pack and Pick service, and even didn't shop around much. However I was asked to provide a rough estimate of things planning to be moved. We had shared a detailed list of big items, and approximated the smaller items (Clothes, utensils, books, shoes, toys etc). However with few reschedules for pickup (Understandably, because Charlotte NC is not on main route mine had to be clubbed with some other pickup). A two man crew arrived in afternoon and the first reaction was that we had a lot of things and it would charge me too much. Then he kept nagging about this all the time. He wouldn't let us even talk or even ask question. Every time he would rant about that he wasn't expecting this much items to be packed and picked up. To save time he started dumping things into packaging boxes, and when we asked if it would not cause any issues, he would ask us to please go away and let him do his work. To be honest, when anyone is entrusting their belongings and pay a hefty price to move it, there would be some anxiousness. We have stayed in US long enough and moved enough within the US to outrightly say that it was a nightmare, and at one point we were about to call up and cancel the move. But because we didn't have time to shop around and start the process again, we just kept quiet and waited for him to finish and go. In Summary : It would be good for the sales team to either do a video call to help customers estimate better or do a personal visit, so that they don't have to hear the rant of their crew. We understand your crew might be under a lot of pressure, but in their field they need to be patient, customers will be anxious. If they cannot handle their concerns at least they need to hold their temperament and composure. I have provided this same feedback to Shabaz and Satya. Part 2 The best part: They are the reason we are giving 4 Star: Amazing and Awesome India Team, Shyamala, Saravanan, Huzaina, Ramya, and the entire crew who came to drop things at my address in Bangalore. Since the time my Items left USA, we were constantly updated with the progress of the shipment. We had requested for a delivery address change which was handled seamlessly, and I was updated when the items arrived at customs. Saravanan was very helpful during the entire process, and answered all our queries and concerns. The Custom duty and clearance was also seamless and was handled without any issues. And although it took almost 100 days door to door. It finally arrived. All the major items were ok, with some dings, scratches and bruises (We were expecting worst because of the way they were packed). And one complete box unaccounted and missing. Ramya did some magic and was able to locate the box at Hyderabad and made sure that it too reaches us. Overall : The amazing India team made to change our minds about giving a 4 Star review. Once again Thanks to the entire India team for their help during this process. Keep the good work.
Experience with Universal Relocation was very good. Packages were delivered in good condition, same as how we had given them. Were professional in updating status of package and date of delivery. As mentioned in their quote, they took care of everything including customs clearance. Would recommend them for moving household stuffs from abroad to india

We had a good experience with universal relocation at pickup point and delivery point, nothing was damaged, missing and the customer service is responsive (at these two points only). Couple problems we had was instead of 2 months as stated in their website it took 5 months for the shipment to delivery our package. the costs keep on adding where we don’t have any clue atleast in my case port charges , handling charges. little extra weight also will be charged, we measured the weight after packing the boxes but still we are charged for that. So please make customer aware of these things clearly.
