I planned to send 3 boxes to India, they quoted $345 and asked me to drop them at a nearby FedEx location. The. Boxes were <= 50 lbs when dropped. Later I get an email stating that I need to pay an extra $75 as the boxes were 1.5 or 1lb more at the universal location. And the e-mail from them says the boxes are shipped already, thus not giving me a chance to not send them. (given the new pricing). I expected them to call me when there is a discrepancy, discuss the difference, get an ok from me, and then send the shipment. I felt cheated! In the sales phase of this shipment, they called me several times to get my business:(
Recently moved 6 boxes from USA to India via Universal Relocation, the service was really great. Though it took 4 months but still worth using their service. Was updated weekly on the status. Pradeep and Sandhhya helped in smooth relocation.
I shipped 9 boxes from US to India. I don't mind the duration it takes for delivery etc. However the trust is important. All the boxes are opened and each items rapped well inside boxes are opened and messed. That is still ok in the name of security check. But not to the extent of robbery/theft. I had 12 brand new perfume bottles meant for my friends and relatives. Now there are only 4. This is typical India way of security check and take whatever you like. Very unethical and this breaks the trust.
Universal Relocations Service was overall ok. I shipped 20 boxes but had to pay $25.00 extra as weight of one box exceeded by 400gm only. Delayed service. The port charges were higher than what I was told before shipping. The worst part was local delivery service at the destination. We are senior citizens; On the day of delivery our harassment started from 2:00 pm when we were told that our consignment would arrive within 30 min. It was only because of “SINI” that we received our consignment at 8:30 pm. She was with us all the time over the phone till 9:00 pm to make sure we received our boxes in good condition. Universal Relocations needs more customer care employee like Sini. Thank you Sini.
Not that much good experience . I paid 200 USD for wooden crafting , but when TV reached me no wooden crafting was there . They told wood crafting removed for custom check . Due to that my TV color's are completely damaged . When i asked for insurance they told , no coverage for colour damage .

Overall service is good with a few broken things. We got delivered things to India from US. Everyone must know people who actually delivers at your place from ware house are not trained/unprofessional. As even if you paid delivery charges you still have to pay cash money as they use the terms ‘Chai Pabi’ or ‘Bakshish’ as tips. And they would try to drain you as much as they could which is very annoying. But Relocation services delivers your goods that’s for sure. Thank you!

Horrible experience with this company, shipped items in May 2022 from DC and received in India, October 2022. Most of the boxes were damaged and wet to my surprise. I tried contacting company and hardly got any response from the company. The boxes received were wet and damaged including the TV which was in original box and still damaged. Almost all the clothing had a weird smell due to wet boxes. Hardly any fragile item was not broken. I was also asked to pay another 70K INR for customs charges and I am not even sure if that was really from Customs in India. The company asked me to file a claim which is a long process and I am not sure if I am going to do it.
Overall good experience. Good coordination and communication from Sini. Items arrived intact and safe. No hiccups in the process.
