I had a similar experience to a previous reviewer. I checked my 5 month old puppy in with a very, very nice girl. When I went to collect my pup I was met by this really rude girl who told me that my pup had behaved badly and had tried to nip the groomer when she went to trim her face (she is only 5 months). She then went on to interrogate me about why I had bought her and implied that she had serious problems! The grooming was poor and her nails were only half clipped. Never again.

Took my dog in today for a groom. When I collected my dog I was greeted by a member of staff who said my dog has been behaving like a t**t. One member of staff was lovely and couldn’t have been more helpful the other member of staff who had a large piercing was nothing short of unprofessional and shouldn’t in my opinion be working with animals. I am now worried how she treated my dog whilst I was not there. I don’t expect to pay for a service and be spoken to like that. I won’t be returning and will advise others to stay away!

Pets at home Groom service in St Albans are the worst. I have been using Pets at home for the past 6 years. Their service it's not brilliant, but for it's super convenient fir ne location wise. In the past Pets at home Groom service cancelled my appointment for several reasons and re schedule for a different date. It wasn't ideal for me but i have accepted in the past the change of date and hour, but today despite me calling leaving a voice message and reaching on WhatsApp for a changing of the date for my dog grooming, they called me to say I was going to be charged £15 because I didn't called 48 hours before. I was shocked, number I am a regular customer and two, they have cancelled on me several times with less then 24 hours and I never complaint. Horrible staff, they could have used their discretion for anyone that is a regular customer every 4 to 6 weeks.

Groom room paignton. Clearly has changed all the staff recently they seem to be incompetent and lacking experience. I have previously taken my puppy here 5 weeks ago, the two girls and the service was excellent. This time I rang to book and was not told I needed to pay a deposit. Got a message two days later saying my apointment was cancelled as not paid it. Rang up to find out, booked another apointment and paid deposit. On the day of the groom I got a call to cancel as short staffed, so re booked another day. Turned up today for apointment and was told only now booked for a wash and brush. Explained it was meant to be full puppy groom with trim eyes feet bum etc. I should of realised at this point there was a problem as they reluctantly agread, told me it was her first visit even though shes on computer as been before, so they may not be able to trim if she was too fidgety. Just collected her to be told she wouldnt let them trim her so barely been touched just washed and brushed. They should of been honest and said they dont have the experienced staff in today, or they have left. Very disappointed and wont be back. Bring back the previous staff who were excellent and had the skill to do the job.

My Bichon had slight matting behind her ears and base of her tail. The lady advised she might need to shave these areas but I insisted she saved as much hair as possible. Upon return the whole tail and both ears were shaved back to the skin. The head was left slightly longer but then her hair was just all in her eyes. There were shave lines all down her back as well. I was so shocked when I saw my dog I just wanted to get out. Reluctantly I signed and paid which I deeply regret now. I was even charged £10 over the agreed £52 quoted. When we got home I was cuddling my dog and she yelped as I touched one ear. I then found about a 1 inch gash made by the clippers inside her ear. I will never use or recommend these people ever again. This was the Colindale branch. My dogs hair will take month and months to grow and the tail years. She was absolutely savaged.

My dog went to the Guildford Groom Rooms where I was charged an additional £10 as her ears had some matts (down to them not doing these at her last groom as they said they had been too busy!!)the female groomer told me there were no matts on her body and some “behind her elbows” £75 later my dog has been completely shaved. She has not been groomed - lazy groomer who couldn’t be bothered to style her - when I asked why she was shaved all over the response was it wouldn’t have look right if just her legs had been shaved. Absolutely disgusting I should have been contacted before they took the shears to my dog. Do not trust them with your dog the only one there who knows what they’re doing is Stuart when he wasn’t there today I should have left immediately. I am fuming that they had the audacity to charge to de-matt her I could have shaved her myself if that’s what I wanted!!!!!

Absolute shocking service, from accusing me of not paying my deposit (despite the fact they had over 13 days to see if it had been a instore issue or not, they went straight to threatening me with cancelling my appointment), through to cutting my dogs face in 7 areas, on both sides of her face, one cut around 4mm close to her right eye. When I complained, it took them 5 days to respond, offering me Leucillin spray that should be used immediately to flush out wounds, so it would be pointless to use on the scabs that she had already developed over that 5 day period. They also offered me to pay for a vets bill, should I be concerned for her welfare, which was also not an option, since, again 5 days to respond, and she on the mend after receiving some basic first aid after returning home. Just before the appointment I also went into great detail about how my dog did not enjoy going to the groomers as she had had several bad experiences with other groomers, including one who cut her quite badly under the foreleg. They did not pay attention to my comments, obviously. They did not alert me to the cuts, nor did they perform any first aid, that I am aware of. One of the first comments I receive back was that "clipper rash is very common", and that it would go away in a "day or two". I have photos 5 days after the event where the scabs show it is definitely more than a rash. I was recommended this groomers and told they were very good with nervous dogs, and instead I got a very poor experience all round. Would not recommend at all.

The groomer SHAVED my dog. They did not warn me that they were going to do this. It was sheer laziness because they could not be bothered to deal with the knots individually. I will NEVER have my dog groomed at Pets at Home again. Totally unprofessional.

Advised them dog has fleas. Never got advised they don't accept infected dogs (understandable). Never called or emailed/ texted. Got a text 3 days before to come in. On the day turned away. Please advise in advance the rejection as not advertised on your website

Jourdan our groomer is AMAZING!!!!! she is at Longwater pets at Home in Norwich. To be fair we love the whole place, WONDERFUL STAFF and its always so welcoming and friendly there. it's a half an hour drive for us and we pass a fair few groomers to get there, they're not the cheapest but the service is absolutely 5* and its so worth it to see my dogs jumping with excitement when they see Jourdan!!! Can’t even explain my frustration for this service. The groom room Swindon no care for my grandmothers dogs, advised because there was other things going on. Like a conveyance belt. They did not even ask the dogs name, just took them, nail clip and go. I wouldn’t suggest going here. You get no personalised service and a manager that has little understanding around complaint management. Poor poor service.

Have used this groom in coventry since they were pups. However this groom was the worst. Don't think they were washed as smelt of us when collected. Shaving was horrendous had to cut long hair from there faces. Very subdued and not responsive when we got home. Changing groomers after 2 years.

Brought my pup in for a groom was told they found a flea on her but sad it probably cam from in store so I left treated her at home then brought her back for another groom, got phones to pick her up because she has fleas!! Stood there while I was lectured and told I’m not doing it right! She didn’t have fleas till she came here!! Wouldn’t recommend bringing your. Dog here unless you want them to get fleas

Really disappointing with the service here. They cancelled on the same day with me last month to wait another month to get my dogs booked in at the Barnsley branch. Now I am 25 mins late for 1 appointment they won't see either dog despite telling me both take 2 hours for a groom, in the 3 hours 35 mins left they have blocked out for their Grooms they can't even do 1 dog. Terrible service. Won't be using again and would not recommend!

Kin grooming is excellent, very patient This is the second time of using kin grooming I have a Siberian husky named buddy, and my boy can be nervous and skittish and usually does not like men. Yet buddy adores Ryan what makes me recommend kin grooming is he takes his time with the dogs in his care he lets the dogs go at their pace which with my boy is extremely important he has done an amazing job with grooming buddy he's coat looks beautiful. And he genuinely shows care, passion and love for my boy and for my boy to love him after the first meeting is extremely rare I would definitely recommend kin grooming you will have a groomer who takes there time he is extremely kind towards us owners and he is loved by his furry clients and he is extremely reasonably priced

The one star is one star to many, unbelievable bad customer service, called in with our puppy, the male groomer was busy and shouted to us that we need to make an appointment, but he couldn't do it, his attitude was not great, after 10 mins another member of staff arrived he didn't have a clue on how to make this appointment, 15 mins later we left, saying we would come back another day, not a chance, will go elsewhere, don't waste your time with this shower.

The groom room, pets at home Leighton Buzzard. Awful service, paid 30 basically for a bath as she couldn't do his eyes or nails. I told them the prime reason for booking was to get the hair cut from around his eyes. Very disappointing and complete waste of money. Do not recommend!!!

I have had my dog booked in for a groom the wait was 8 weeks then it was cancelled that very morning and another scheduled for 6 weeks time. Unfortunately it’s been cancelled again less than a week before the appointment and another date in 4 weeks time given no attempts to allocate an earlier date so I would never recommend! This is a shame as the first groom we had was actually very good

I used the groom room in Stoke on Trent and I will never go back there: the ladies working there are rude, even mean and rude. I saw with my own eyes how a lady with long black hair hit a dog, a yorkie who was fed up with being cut! I absolutely do not recommend this company and I will never recommend it to my friends again. These employees think that they are better and that the customer is for them and not them for the customer. When I came too early to pick up my dog, they rudely told me to leave the room and commented on me when I had not closed the door behind me yet! And then they called me rude! I filed a complaint about them 3 weeks ago and I have not received a response! Do not use their services - they are hopelessly unprofessional, and my Shiah tzu came out bald!
