Sonovate is a good third party back office provider. We use them for our temporary contract staff. If there is any queries to be resolved, the team are very quick to respond and we have always had good experiences. The process is very efficient.
I've been a Sonovate customer for around a year now and as someone who is average at best with technology, combined with some overly complex RPO contract arrangements, I have required assistance on numerous occasions. From the initial onboarding , the check-ins and then the ad-hoc issue resolution, the support I have received from Harry Busby has been some of best customer service I've experienced in any industry. The products aren't perfect but good customer service and support make a huge difference and the reason I'm keeping my business here.
The customer services team has really stepped up their game and they are immediately responsive to queries and resolve them within minutes. Very helpful third party bureau for a small independent company like us
Since I joined my current company in July 2021, I have worked closely with Sonovate who run many of our contractors. The team has always been really helpful and they have always responded very quickly to any queries. In particular, Sabrina and Daisy from customer experience and Jade from payroll have stood out.
I have been using Sonovate for several years and I have always received an excellent services. Sabrina, particularly was very helpful when I was trying to help a contractor navigate part of their software. She was very good at presenting the solution and is an excellent brand advocate for Sonovate
From a client perspective, I can generally thoroughly recommend Sonovate. The customer service team has been fantastic (esp Sabrina Hicks) and are always happy to help and sort out issues - especially for us as a smaller/lower volume client. There have been some issues, but Sonovate are always keen to find a resolution and have shown flexibility and support where possible. Main issues have been around credit control (lack of comms/follow up) and back end invoicing issues, but to be fair these issues were caused in the first place by our client - leaving us and sonovate to find a work around. Generally a very positive experience and a good company to work with, in an area where your client relationships can be on the line.
Recently, I had a requirement in terms of IR35 New Regs. Magda Baker and Harry Busby couldn't have been more helpful. Their support went way beyond what I anticipated. Magda took calls when she was on annual leave and Harry went out of his way to provide additional info on a couple of tricky areas of the process. I have no hesitation in recommending Sonovate wholeheartedly for their brilliant customer service and support. They have never let me down
Update: Things were finally solved after a total of 1 month The worst onboarding of my life! I have started this process for 1 week now and still i have not yet manage to enter the account. They send me an email that the account is active after 3 days saying I can log in, however I never set a password so how can I log in? I try Google log in, user not found, Linked in log in is not functional. Forgot password does not work. Never received an email. I am stuck. Thank you Sonovate for "making timesheets simple". Until this point I would rather go back to completing a paper timesheet and sending it via email, or post for that matter.
Started off well, but already had problems with the first payment to the contractor. They didn't to add VAT to the client invoice and then underpaid the contractor to recoup VAT the money- without any communication and making sure they got their fees first. They then, via email, told me that our company had to pay the difference back to the contractor, essentially because of their invoicing mistake! Customer service then dodged my calls. Pretty shoddy first encounter.
Having now worked with Sonovate for nearly 3 years, I have had a very positive experience with them. They are always on hand to support with any queries I have as well as understand the urgency for things to be dealt with quickly. They have always being polite and courteous through all my dealings with them and I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for this type of service!
Really disappointed by the response from the Customer Services today. As an end user of this platform, I stopped receiving email notifications confirming that I sent necessary documentation. Asking to confirm if the documents have been received, I was told: "You will have to keep checking for updates yourself :) We are in development of building a new App and taking on customer feedback.". A smily face at the end of the first sentence doesn't help, does it?
Sonovate have been brilliant for us ever since we started using them back in 2020. Their product is great - visually as well as the functionality - and their customer service team are very proactive and deal with any issues at a short moments notice. In a world of automation and chatbots etc. it's lovely to have actual people to speak to with one phone call. Special shout outs to Alyson, Emma S, Emma R and Rachel!!! We took the decision to go with a Sonovate using their full back office service some months back. To date we have had nothing but problems. We have found it virtually impossible to produce a set of decent managements accounts simply because the information we receive is inaccurate and totally unreliable. We have complained, questioned, emailed the problems, requested escalation and to date nothing has changed and no director has contacted us despite a number of specific requests. We have client funds unaccounted for, contractors who have not been correctly paid and our accounts department now have more work than they had before. On current performance I cannot recommend them at all. 15/11 UPDATE As of today very few of our issues with Sonovate have been resolved. We have a contractor who has been paid incorrectly and Sonovate have left us without any proper conclusive information for over a month, knowing that understandably the contractor is complaining about payments. Who does this reflect on? Sonovate show no signs of caring about their customers or their customers reputation. Communication is minimal, the directors hide and don’t acknowledge customers with ongoing issues and it would appear that the company despite having some good staff is incompetent. They sell it as if all services are there, our experience is very little is and our business is suffering as a consequence of their lack of financial accuracy! I will update when and if we get meaningful communication and action.
The Payroll team provide a great service. They always get back to you quickly and are incredibility helpful. Lucy the Payroll Manager is brilliant. They system is easy to use too.
We transferred to Sonovate in April of this year and I have to say that Sonovate's Payroll Team, and Lucy in particular, were excellent in managing this transition. They liaised with our previous agents so that there was very little 'noise' for me and they were able to accommodate a couple of areas, where we were not doing things quite right. They were really helpful and friendly. In addition, the reporting is easy to access and to understand.
A company is only ever as good as its staff, and my experience with my account manager at Sonovate, Jennifer Lewis, has been amazing. Jennifer is "on it" she is proactive, motivated, bright and gets things done for me, and never makes me feel like i am asking for something that is causing her a headache, she just does it. From initial onboarding as a business through to our monthly or weekly entire payroll process, team members, communication (and style), efficiency, professionalism, and as importantly friendliness each day - is second to none.
