Snowdonia Cheese Company expertly crafts luxury cheeses and chutneys using the finest natural ingredients for incredible flavour.
Still hasn’t arrived despite being ordered well before Christmas (and with a promise of 1-4 days delivery). Seems to be stuck with courier since last Thursday (5 days ago and 3 days before Christmas). Not possible to speak to anyone at customer services either at the company or at couriers. Very disappointing. Clearly can’t meet the delivery as promised
Same issue as everyone else. Ordered on 10/12 for delivery on 20/12. It was a gift but here we are on the 26th with no cheese in sight. To have no customer service when there are clearly problems at this time is going to impact on the company and no doubt people will shop elsewhere in future. A total disappointment and marketing disaster . UPDATE 20/1/2024 To be fair to the company - once alerted to the problem, Snowdonia could not have been more efficient at refunding me and customer service was excellent in responding once open after Christmas. As it was a gift and there is promise of complimentary cheese, I look forward to my friend’s response once they have received it. Thank you
My most sincere apologies. My review was for the Snowdonia Chees company in Rhyl but somehow you have got it. Again my apologies
To add to the others - another order made well in time for Christmas not delivered. Absolutely gutted it didn’t get there in time. Apparently with the couriers from the 22nd. Really awful service - I will never know if the hamper was any good. I will be asking for a refund.
DO NOT ORDER FROM THEM! So firstly the cheese is great how do I know, well I have bought in local stores before, lots of variety all great! So I put an order in for Christmas free delivery if you spend over £35 ordered several different cheeses I couldn’t find in local shops. Ordered 3 days before their Christmas delivery cutoff. Messaged them as I hadn’t heard anything a few days before Christmas Eve and got a reply saying it would be despatched etc. I should have known! No cheese arrived ended up going out and buying some locally! I did get an email saying it was with the delivery company but their website showed they hadn’t picked it up yet! Sorry for the rant I know it’s only cheese and really not the end of the world but Companies should learn!
Ordered a £70 cheese and wine hamper for a Christmas present on the 16th December and it's still not here. Their website said I had 4 days left to order/receive before Christmas, so thought there was plenty of time. Apparently it was given to the courier on the 22nd and still no sign of it, not sure if it'll even be edible by the time it arrives. This could be the couriers fault too however I'm not even sure the provided tracking info is correct (couriers own tracking says they've not received the package yet), but even if it is - why wait 6 days to post an order! Going by other reviews it seems they've been taking more orders than they can fulfil. First time ordering from them direct, wish I'd have gone through Amazon instead or just gone local.
I ordered an expensive hamper with extras. This was before the cut off date for Christmas and I was messaged to say it would arrive by Christmas. However it has still not even reached the delivery depot even though the company tells me it's on its way. Communication with the company is dire; they have stopped answering the phone and email responses aren't helpful. I now have to buy some cheese tomorrow to make up for this failed delivery which was to have been my Christmas present to the family I'm staying with over the holiday. I'm more than disappointed that a reputable company behaves in this way and I request a refund. It's no good at all if it arrives next week, not only because Christmas will be over but also because the cheese will have been sitting somewhere for several days and will be unsafe to eat. Latest.......after several emails the company has refunded me. (5th January).
My parents love cheese so were thrilled to receive their cheese hamper this morning (23/12/23). Hearing my mum's growing excitement as she found the different cheeses, chutneys, crackers and chocolates was wonderful to hear she was like a big kid on Christmas morning. I ordered, Snowdonia cheese company delivered and my parents loved it. Nothing else matters.
Shocking customer service, same story as the numerous reviews below. Ordered in plenty of time for delivery before Christmas. Hamper never arrived, courier still showing expecting parcel on Wed 20th, it’s now Sat 23rd and Snowdonia have had their phones turned off since at least Wednesday. Another returning customer that’s been lost for good Update 22/2/24 Despite profuse apologies and promise to compensate by sending ‘complimentary gift to be sent to you, which includes a selection of our most popular cheeses, by way of an apology.’ Nothing arrived, virtue signalling to others perhaps?
Ordered hamper on 16th December, confirmed and ‘dispatched’ within half an hour, was very impressed! However, one week later still no delivery, no update on DHL. Still states awaiting package which was due 19th December. Tried to contact company no response to calls or email. Have requested my money back through the bank. Not very good customer service at all!
Really really disappointed by this company and the service. The only response was if you order before 20th December you will be Christmas. Not the reply I wanted when ordered two hampers on the 16th and they get delivered on the 23rd. That is not 1-4 days quoted on your website. I thought order over weekend they get order Monday...comes Friday...not unreasonable... I order in advance for the cheese hamper to be deliver as a present, so the person could bring it away for Christmas. Now had to buy another present for a relative. Yes, I know you are busy but you have a product that has to put on the fridge so giving people a date and a time is not unreasonable. You pay for that company and that service. Maybe say delivery takes a week to ten days. Not 1-4 days. Then if the delivery turns up earlier that the 7-10 days timeslot it makes you look good as a company. Not reviewing product as not for me. Now I have to find extra space in the fridge because the delivery was late. And the person has gone away for Christmas. CHEERS for that sorted your delivery times out and do not lie to customers ...be truthful things do take longer so say that
Useless customer service. They missed the first line of the address off the initial delivery so it wasn't delivered and then ignored a request to resend to a different address because no one would be at the previous address so close to Christmas. 72hr turnaround times on emails meant it was impossible to correct their repeated mistakes for them. They are clearly overwhelmed by the volume of orders and rather than turndown custom it seems they would rather keep making mistakes. Update: Despite the apparently kind offer their reply below, I've heard nothing further regarding the free gift they were to send by way of apology, which only goes to emphasise how happy they are to say whatever it takes to placate their customers without having any intention of actually delivering. Genuinely astoundingly bad customer service!
Mostly orders I have received have been fine, but when they go wrong they can be annoying. And it is all about attention to detail when taking orders, and customer service support when errors arise - Snowdonia Cheese have acknowledged this. Thus far I have placed ~ 15 orders and have one they cocked up, but they have since not only apologised, but have refunded the order, and issued me an extra cheese consignment. They are also a small independent firm for whom Christmas is their busiest time, so all hands to the packing line, leaves little time when a silly mistake is made. I shall be buying my Christmas delivery gifts again this year.
Complete disaster with delivery and zero response to telephone calls. Emails answered with automatic replies but no genuine response.
Item supposed to be delivered on Monday. Changed with Snowdonia cheese after I pointed out that it hd not arrived. Tracking says it’s been received and signed for (tracking says signed for by “back door”) and the picture shows somebody else’s house with the item on their doorstep. Snowdonia cheese again confirmed delivery!!! I suppose couriers now don’t knock on the house to confirm the correct recipient as it’s easier just to leave it on a doorstep and not even check the correct house! Also this company sees it as delivered if it’s not even been delivered to the right house! Be aware using Snowdonia cheese! If the item is dumped on someone else’s doorstep then well I guess you just have to accept a loss of money and the recipient now doesn’t get their Xmas gift. Many thanks Snowdonia!
Placed order last Saturday 16th December order still not arrived and was a present for Christmas tried calling and voice mail very disappointing customer service no email confirmation on delivery date either £60 which I’ll be seeking a refund at this rate
Massive mess up with delivery it seems, I was guaranteed delivery before Xmas and advised to pre book a day. I received an email in error saying item was dispatched, then an apology email explain it wasn’t The delivery day come with no update or delivery! They have blocked their contact number so you can’t talk to anyone and it takes 3 days for an email reply! Avoid this Compnay!
I am still trying to get a refund from this company for an order placed in Nov 23 that I have not received. I have now contacted them countless times, and the latest response I have had is "Your refund was processed on 22nd December, refunds take 7-10 working days to be processed by the card issuer, due to a large number of bank holidays over the Christmas period this would take longer than usual but I would expect it to be completed any day now". Despite this being now over 10 days still no refund ad I have checked with my bank and there is nothing due in today or tomorrow. So this email is an out and out lie. They owe me almost £78.00. I ordered cheese and various other bits and pieces for family Christmas and was sent the wrong order. When I tried to get in touch to sort this out there was no way to get through on phones just an answer message to say email. I then emailed 3 times, received no response and then as it is so near Christmas said I wanted to cancel and receive a refund as this was too late .. I then received an email telling me they had seen my messages and were sending the order. I again said no it’s too late but they have sent it and not responded to me. This company has caused stress and upset and have still not responded properly .. .. dreadful customer service .. what has happened.. this used to be a good company as I have ordered a number of times before. They have still not apologised and now as above are dragging their feet about returning my money. I would urge anyone thinking of ordering - not to do this. They have lied, been rude, not responded and not returned money that is NOT theirs. I am really upset and disgusted by this poor service.
Unbelievably this company regards it acceptable for an order £60+ to be left on the front doorstep of a London residence in full view of passing pedestrians and vehicles. They also regard it as acceptable for the courier to lie that the parcel was left in a non existent porch. Avoid like the plague!
£85 worth of perishable food items purchased in good faith, should have been delivered on the 20th December. No attempt to deliver the items by DHL and no update received as to when the items will be delivered. Called Snowdonia Food Company on a number of occasions today - they are refusing to answer phones and instead a voicemail message advises that due to the unprecedented number of phone calls, voice calls are not being answered and instead callers are requested to email and await an email response within 48 hours. This is appalling after sales care and as such I will not shop with this company again. Perishable goods are meant to be delivered in a timely fashion and stored appropriately. According to DHL they collected my items on the 19th December - god only knows where the items are now! Be wary about placing orders with Snowdonia Cheese Company if they continue to use such an appalling courier company, and in turn, they themselves refuse to answer customer telephone calls..
