Placed an order on 16th April 2020. I have given them extra time to deliver due to COVID19, but have still not received my order. I have phoned the company many times and they either do not pick up the phone, or pick up the phone and immediately place the receiver down, so that you cannot talk to them. I am incredibly concerned that the company is a scam and they have taken payment without providing the goods. Please can somebody investigate this company as there other reviews indicating the same experience.
Awful service - take payment and delivers no goods - scam or business folding. No response to email and no one picks up the phone. Try somewhere else.
Poor customer service rep. She needs training on how to deal with upset clients who paid for express delivery only to be told I did not read the 10 day delivery covid notice. What?? So why advertise Your goods are in stock and take extra payment for express Saturday delivery. Sort yourselves out sealants and tools direct! Your staff are clearly unhappy and as a result are trashing what was once a good reputable business.
Similar to the huge amount of bad reviews, I am very frustrated with this company. I ordered an urgent item for c£70 Saturday delivery and it never showed. I have been chasing them ever since for almost a week now and I have not had a peep from anyone. I've called, emailed, used their web form, contacted through PayPal - nothing... There is also nothing on their site advising about any Covid 19 delays/difficulties and all delivery options were offered upon purchase (as they state, all appropriate delivery options are offered upon purchase depending on location, supplies etc.)
Order placed and acknowledged Saturday April 18th. Credit card charged Monday April 20th, 2-7 working days delivery. Thursday April 30th, 9 working days later, chased by email - no response. Friday 1st May, chased again. Response: "Likely to be dispatched beginning of next week" Sunday 3rd May, email from them to say that the goods had been shipped. Saturday 9th May, checked courier's tracking, and they had no details of the parcel. Monday 11th, chased S&TD by email and told that the goods had not been collected as all collections delayed due to Covid-19. Now I appreciate that the pandemic is causing some delays, but there's no excuse to take the money and then not process the order, and then say that goods have been shipped when they haven't; and the courier says that they did not have an 8 day delay in collections. I was going to award one star, but have upped it to two in order to give the benefit of the doubt; but other companies seem to be processing orders quickly, so I have my doubts and will not be recommending S&TD.
You are clearly operating a scam .. and judging by the numerous other scathing reviews on this site, we are not the only people to experience this! I am going to complain to both Devon & Cornwall Police and West of England Trading Standards. Even though we have only paid a small amount for goods that were never delivered, I am also going to bring legal action via the Small Claims Court - as a matter of principle.
It seems we're not the only ones to fall victim to this scam. Placed an order at the beginning of April, order confirmation says delivery 1-5 days - I'm still waiting mid May! Payment has been taken and have tried numerous times via email and telephone to get a response but nothing. To add to the insult, log on to find apparently my order is awaiting payment. Will be avoiding this company at all costs going forward.
Please read all other bad reviews they are all correct I placed my order on 19th April and have been trying to get some sort of response from them since then. I have probably phoned them in excess of 25 times in the period and have only managed to speak to someone twice. the lady that answered on both occasions said order wold take a few more days to be despatched. I was very civil with her and have waited but can now wait no more as clearly they have taken money from me when they can clearly not supply the goods. The Directors and Managers and anybody else in the company should help with the phone calls e-mails etc as you cannot just blame covid 19. If you cannot cope then dont take the orders. The worst part is phoning as no one picks up there is no answerphone or voicemail. I have also e-mailed 3 times and have had no response to them either. An appalling way to operate. The trouble is it takes a long time to build a business and gain customers trust but you can lose it in an instant and that is exactly what has happened here. I will never order from them again and I would also assume that the other 76% of bad reviewers will not do so either . I just wish I had looked at the reviews before I ordered. I now have to wait for my paypal refund which is currently in process. The Directors and Management of this company should take note of these comments or they will not have a business to run in the future.
Three weeks since I placed my order and still no sign.I wish I had looked at trustpilot before placing it, clearly I wouldn't made that mistake. Don't buy from this company from the internet.
Been doing house and garden touch ups and needed a few urgent bits. I was sceptical as there are a few bad reviews but let me tell you this company couldn't be more helpful as they advised me on what to get for curtain jobs which saved me money! The delivery on my items was meg quick which was great as like I said i needed it urgently. What a pleasure to deal with a company like this. Thank you guys!
I placed my order on 27 April stating item was in stock and would take 3 - 5 days. 12 days later no communication and no sign of my order. I went on my bank and can see the money has been taken from the account yet I have just checked on the company website and it appears my order has not been payed for. This company is a con, please do not order anything. It will not come but they will happily take your hard earned money. Diabolical cheaters.
Purchased Everbuild 405 Patio sealer and was fully aware of the delays due to the virus. The company stated 2-7 days, but I thought no rush. Day 7, nothing, No email, No call, No text, No effort to explain delay. I called and was informed the delay was due to the virus, warehousing and deliveries and assured it would be with me after the weekend. 7-Days later, Nothing and then reported to PayPal. I eventually got through and was then informed that the stock had just been delivered!!!!!. SO they had taken the order and my money knowing ZERO Stock. So they maybe cheaper than others, but they don't seem to have the stock, but still take your money. STAY CLEAR OF THIS COMPANY, very questionable business ethic. In response to company comment: Effective communication is good practice, as is informing your customers of the true picture!!!!. If you don't have stock, say so, DON'T take payment. I could have had the product delivered and used already, with another supplier. UPDATE: In the time it took to do the original order, wait, eventually get contact and then get a refund, I have been able to Re-order with a different company, seal the drive, and place a second order which has been delivered!!!!!! The difference between a professional service and a promising service!!!
Was after some glue for my laminate floor edging. Rung to ask for advice as have a young son and cats, so was mindful of what to use. The guy I spoke to on the phone was so friendly and helpful. He had really good product knowledge and was really happy with the service I received. Thank you so much :)
Needed to order a few bits for my garden as I was landscaping. Called and spoke to sales guys and got given some good advice. Placed the order and arrived in good time. Considering the current climate. Great local business
As others have said avoid at all costs, waited over 3 weeks for a delivery after many emails only to be told its still waiting to be shipped! Avoid these cowboys
Update Below Ordered on 27 April and told 2-7 working days. That has now expired and been trying for 2 days to call them to get an update and nobody answers the phone. 2 e-mails sent and no response to those. Also sent message on Facebook page and again no response. UPDATE - I have been contacted by e-mail and Facebook to advise my order will be with me by Tuesday or Wednesday next week so will wait and see. Further Update - Order arrived on Wednesday.
Have to agree with the majority of reviews I've read here. Order placed on 26th April stating 2-7 days shipping, still not delivered, the order has no courier info listed when checking my account. I've tried calling repeatedly - line always engaged, I've emailed - no answer, and I've left a message via the website help section - again no reply. Several items ordered were for time sensitive jobs and the 2-7 day timescales would have been fine, but have now had to order elsewhere at additional costs. when ordering the delivery page DOES states 5-10 days, so why does it state 2-7 days everywhere else?.. I've read a few responses from them on here stating that the delivery issues are clearly stated on their website. Please check for yourself, there isn't any reference anywhere to Covid-19 or potential delays, believe me I've searched everywhere... yet if you search products and try to order, items are 'in-stock' and the shipping still states 2-7 days... If using a courier, how can this be allowed or even feasible?.. If paying for 2-7 days shipping then the service is a clear breach of the trade descriptions act. I've ordered from many other companies recently and all have been upfront about delays, and all have delivered within advertised timescales. If 2-7 days isn't possible they why still advertise it. And why take upfront payment knowing the delays? They have defended the lack of customer contact by stating they only have one person answering the phone... WHY?! The damage they are doing to their own brand will surely be long lasting. Managers, directors, owners, GET ON THE PHONES, ANSWER EMAILS, UPDATE INFO ON YOUR SITE, BLANKET EMAIL YOUR CUSTOMERS, PLEASE DO SOMETHING!!! I'll be pursuing refund via PayPal from this company as I've had to purchase all but one item elsewhere now, and shall be contacting Trading Standards for support.
Absolutely awful. DO NOT BUY FROM THEM Placed an order on 15/4 20 to be told delivery would be 10 days. After 14 days and 17 times of calling them & emailing, eventually to be told another 10 days, after another 20 days i claimed money back from paypal. the woman on phone is a professional liar. ABYSMAL SERVICE, Don't bother as they will only waste your time.
Placed order 18th April with 2 - 7 working days delivery. They took money straight away. Nothing received last week (we gave them some leeway). When chasing for an update they never answer the phone, I did email telling them they need to respond with an update within 24 hours, and I did then get an email saying order had been despatched. Just taken delivery of 25% of the order - tax invoice enclosed says order in full - but 3 of the tins are missing!!! Tried to call them - surprise surprise not answering yet again. Have emailed them, but not holding out any hope that they will reply. Absolutely disgusting state of affairs and no way for a company to be run. I am pursuing a refund through my credit card company. Avoid, avoid, avoid.
I ordered from this company and received my product fine, I waited three weeks but due to what’s going on right now I completely understand the delivery times will be different, I emailed chasing my order and got a prompt response and phoned and got through, it did take me a few times but they’ve explained they had one person answering calls, as the sales team are working from home, I’m shocked by the reviews as in these times I think people should be abit more patient and understanding. I would recommend, stay safe.
