Few suppliers of hospitality products go back as far as Samuel Groves. This venerable Birmingham-based manufacturer of kitchen equipment started in 1817. The big take-off into hospitality supply came during the Second World War when Samuel Groves won a major government contract to produce aluminium trays, with many other items for the Ministry of Works and the War Office being added soon after. This helped reinforce the foundations of the modern business, which gained a major boost from the introduction of the Mermaid brand at the beginning of the 1950s. Samuel Groves encompasses all facets of manufacturing including Metal Cutting, Presswork, Metal Spinning, Welding, Fabrication and Injection Moulding. In addition, we are able to design and manufacture our own tooling in house. Even though the market and indeed cooking practices have evolved over the years, Samuel Groves quality and processes have improved. We remain traditional manufacturers and every product we are proud to say is still hand-finished. We have been a manufacturer in Birmingham for close to 200 years, some of the skills that will be used in the factory today will have been used all throughout those 200 years. Every range produced at our factory, we believe is the best you can buy, whether that’s our robust stainless steel 3-ply cookware, or timeless Mermaid anodised bakeware.

I am pleased to say that the customer service is excellent. I expressed concerns that my order was taking a long time to be dispatched and sent a chasing email which went unanswered. The company looked into the situation and advised that an email had been sent which for some reason ended up in spam . So thank you for taking the time and trouble to assist
Best frying pan I have ever owned. Not cheap but really good - hope it remains so. Pan can also have none stick coating replaced at a later date if required.
Absolutely fabulous products - i have bought an elite stock pot, frying pan and pot. All are superb. Very comfortable handles and heat distribution is great. You can feel the quality and i will be using these for years.

Spent ages trying to find a frying pan that was not non-stick coated and made in the UK. The pan is superb, its high quality and was a reasonable price. Excellent to use and I am going to replace my existing cuisinox cooking pans with Samuel Groves pans!! Very happy customer!
Amazing service, purchase received only a couple of days after placing internet order. Product purchased was Britannia cast iron frying pan, absolutely first class. Samuel Groves's ingenious 20.5cm round cast iron enamel casserole has transformed my sourdough bread baking. I turn it upside down so the shallow lid becomes the base and the deep base becomes the lid, allowing room for oven rise. Amazing results each time I bake! It's a marvel and a joy to use as it cleans up a dream. I also have their stainless steel cookware and Mermaid anodised tray. Indispensable. I wouldn't be without them. Great quality, made in the UK.
Brilliant service. Placed an order on Sunday evening and everything arrived on the Wednesday. Very well packaged. The bags for the pans are great. Haven't used the pans just yet but they seem very very well made and it's nice to be able to find something that's made in the UK and support the company. Would definitely recommend them.
