Few suppliers of hospitality products go back as far as Samuel Groves. This venerable Birmingham-based manufacturer of kitchen equipment started in 1817. The big take-off into hospitality supply came during the Second World War when Samuel Groves won a major government contract to produce aluminium trays, with many other items for the Ministry of Works and the War Office being added soon after. This helped reinforce the foundations of the modern business, which gained a major boost from the introduction of the Mermaid brand at the beginning of the 1950s. Samuel Groves encompasses all facets of manufacturing including Metal Cutting, Presswork, Metal Spinning, Welding, Fabrication and Injection Moulding. In addition, we are able to design and manufacture our own tooling in house. Even though the market and indeed cooking practices have evolved over the years, Samuel Groves quality and processes have improved. We remain traditional manufacturers and every product we are proud to say is still hand-finished. We have been a manufacturer in Birmingham for close to 200 years, some of the skills that will be used in the factory today will have been used all throughout those 200 years. Every range produced at our factory, we believe is the best you can buy, whether that’s our robust stainless steel 3-ply cookware, or timeless Mermaid anodised bakeware.

Quality British made products! Threw out our cooking trays as the coating always peels off after about 6 months. Buying cheap is not a long term option.

Huge delay in delivery with no explanation. A series of phone calls to the company never got beyond an answerphone. An email about the problem was never answered. Shockingly bad performance which company bosses should be made aware of as result is we are most unlikely to ever recommend what is otherwise an excellent product to anyone we know.
I bought a voucher for my son and daughter in law. Communication about dispatch etc very efficient. I got a small baking tray included which was a nice surprise

Bought 25.5cm stainless steel 3-ply frying pan and it is simply amazing! Cooks quick, heat distributed evenly, food does not stick. Threw away my cheaper stainless steel alternative. There’s no way back!

These pans are poor quality. Too Flimsy.
Lovely pans - solid & well made
This order is long overdue. I have e mailed sales about its non appearance and never received a reply. This is very poor customer service. I am unlikely to buy their products or recommend them even from a third party retailer.
I recently bought a carbon steel frying pan which is the best frying pan I have ever owned. It arrived promptly and well packaged. It was not cheap but is worth every penny and I expect it to last a lifetime.
