Deji was superb helping me from 6th & &th Dec 2024. 1stly I forgot my code for the padlock, he sold me a new padlock without fuss. I discovered that the skylight had leaked water into my 'room' and was puddling on the floor being absorbed by the storage cartons on the floor, ruining much of the contents. He kept me calm, helped me organise a clear up, advised me to take photos of damage and took the damaged stuff away as evidence. The next day 8th Darren assisted me to make claims for the damaged and contacted my son, whose goods they were in Dubai. Without these 2 members of your staff , I would have been distrort !! The company is lucky to have them as employees In your Old Kent Road Store
Junior, Liam and Alan were all such great help in signing me up with storage over the phone and within 10 minutes of walking through the door! Very great team who were nice and explained things clearly :)

The staff are nice and the facilities clean, tidy and accessible. However, the massive and regular price increases are not something that you are warned about. I’m now paying double what a new customer would pay for the same unit, which having been a customer for 2 years is slightly upsetting. I could actually rent a room in a shared house to store my things in for cheaper.

I sent a parcel from this DHL point last week. I completed everything online, brought my barcode to the store, and they printed the label and took my parcel without any issues. This week, I wanted to do the same, so I went again with my barcode. However, this time they told me that printing costs £0.01 to them, so they don’t print labels. I explained that I had been following the instructions on the DHL website, which clearly state that I should bring my barcode to a DHL point, where they will print the label. I even mentioned that they did it for me just last week and asked why they were refusing this time, causing unnecessary inconvenience. I also showed them the “label-free possible” option stated on their website. Despite all this, they refused to print the label. Their attitude was very unpleasant. Even though the issue was entirely due to their own failure to follow their policies, I was the one who suffered. The right thing to do would have been to acknowledge the error, apologize for the misleading information on their website and their staff’s mistake last time, and as a gesture of goodwill, print the label this once. Instead, the only response I got was that it costs them £0.01 (!) and they won’t do it. Their rude behavior and lack of concern for customer satisfaction were incredibly disappointing.
Upon opening my storage, I had been charged £560. Regardless, I called these thieves multiple times to confirm the amount. I had to go for a beef with some poor man at reception to refund, but the answer: I didn't ask for it? Are you out of your minds? Literally being ripped off, but should I have had to cancel the man and the van and all the shit show? Its a joke. Also, opening hours are ridiculous, I have stored my entire life with these somethings (I don't want to use a vulgar language). They simply told me that if I want the money back will be refunded a week later, if really want it I can come in personally. OUCH! 21st century, you ruined my weekend and I hope customers realise you are the worst.
Was in need of some were to store my stuff this company was really helpful and supported me ,with a worm wecome and made md feel very safe and secure I would really recommend this company to any one ,the lady Christina was very helpful and really made me feel in a positive place
"I have been renting a storage unit with this company for a couple of months. I initially chose the second smallest unit, which costs around £135-149 per month for 2 months (due to a deal) as I wasn't planning to use the storage that long(which changed due to my circumstances). Without the deal it's around £250 but every month the cost goes up and up. I explained that I would need to make payments at the end of each month due to my pay schedule, especially as I am facing financial difficulties and currently homeless. Despite this, the company has added two late fees every month bringing my monthly total to over £300 plus. When I reached out to explain my situation and financial struggles, I felt there was a lack of understanding or willingness to help. Recently, I received an email notifying me that the cost of my unit would increase by £70, making the new monthly fee £372 for one of their smallest units. Unfortunately, my experience with this company has been disappointing. I believe they lack empathy and flexibility when dealing with customers facing genuine hardships. I would recommend exploring other storage options if you're looking for better support and understanding." Update: I emailed them with the details same day they requested it and no reply yet. Ps. They harass me to pay 2 invoices in the same month (Total £600) they call me and send repeated emails 3 times in 10 minutes. Even though on the system it states I can only pay on the 30th of every month. Which I do every month without fail.

Excellent customer service. They went beyond my expectations. I found myself in an awkward situation where my furniture would not fit my car and I was moving away from Cardiff, so I had to leave it there in the store had unit. Staff in reception were marvellous. The suggested different solutions. I sold the furniture online and they helped me with the buyer, meaning I didn’t need to physically be there. Previous to this, every month when I would phone to make the payments everything went smoothly and fast. I will 100% repeat with Safestore and would recommend to everyone
