Went through the entire process and then i get to the end and realize they're charing me a $2+change if i want to finish it. They're business model is to not say anything about the charge, then hope you forget to cancel when done so they can start charging you $20+ dollars a month to use something you realistically won't use again for some time. It wouldn't have bothered me as much if I was aware of the $2+change charge before making it. Edit 10/10/24: I was told through an email that i need to prove that i actually had this experience and needed to provide a reference #. If i did not it would be deleted in two days and not visible. Here is the BIG problem. I was given no explanation on trust pilot how to aquire a reference #, and when I signed in on Resume Builder, they had no indication what a reference # was. I called the support # for resume builder at (800)301-9082 and the employee Ian (who was polite and helpful) had never even heard of a reference # and we agreed that it was probably my account ID. Resume Builder tried to get my review deleted if I didn't respond quickly while providing no information to be able to find the reference #. They seemed like a shady company before, they seem even worse now knowing the tactics they take to remove bad reviews. Shameful

I thought it was great. I canceled the subscription and noticed I kept getting charged for two months which was lame. There wasn't an option to build a reference page to match the concept of the resume design. Over all I liked it but felt very disappointed I kept getting charged after I canceled. I probably wouldn't have cared but it's a heavy monthly for a resume builder. Did I mention the recurring monthly charges after I canceled?? Hahaha

You should allow more inline style edits - some templates "almost" work and you should be able to make some of those edits. You also should allow the customer to enter a job role they're applying for, complete with the description and qualifications so that the resume can be tailored for that role

It's NOT free. "You have to pay for premium portions" blah, blah, blah. After spending quite a bit of time typing out my husband's resume, I find out you have to pay to download it! What a crock. I bit the bullet and paid the $2.95 because he needed it. Now I am being charged fully and can't have a full refund because I am cancelling 11 days after they charged me. I can't cancel that which I don't know I am being charged! Not until the CC bill comes in. They are not free. They are out to scam people out of $23.95. Do that to enough people and you can make quite a hefty sum of money. Why can't we just have honest companies run by honest people. Just say up front it's going to cost $2.95 and that it is a subscription costing $23.95/month, rather than hide it in small print in a separate email. Just not good or honest business practices.

It did not say you had to pay for it until you tried downloading it. In fact, it even said "free." What a scam. You can't even try to screenshot it because the website blurs it out.

I started to build my resume and it had never brought up that I had to pay for the product. After 30 minutes of working on my resume I unfortunately found out that I had to pay just to download it. There was no indication I had to pay until I attempted to download it.

My husband registered his resume on this website. The next month he ask for cancellation. But we didn’t got any answer and we continue being charged since January 2024. They charge us and don’t have any options for cancellation the account. And then they took my money and nobody refund us. I am waiting for them answer.

I had a decent experience with resume builder after paying for the 2 week subscription which is fine. What I don't understand is why a resume builder only offers a yearly over $70 subscription. Personally and I think for most people, I only update my resume once every year AT MOST. Usually less than that so when you charge annually and not month-to-month, it comes off a cash grab when you know most people don't need a monthly subscription to something like this. I won't be paying for that and I'll find another website to use. I would've paid a month-to-month but that doesn't appear to be an option after the 14 day trial expires? My advice to users, find a resume builder website to start that doesn't just offer an annual only long term subscriptions period, because if you ever need to update it slightly, it's just a ripoff.

Not a free resume builder.

When you search Google for free resume builder this site comes up presenting itself as free. But that is deceptive because they take you through the whole process of constructing the resume only to charge you when you finish if you want to download it or get a usable copy. I'm giving the worst rating I can because it is deceptive and somewhat coercive to have you go through the whole process to only THEN tell you you have to give them money. Why not just be up front about it?

Honestly, I see the webpage on google says "Free Resume Builder" and I click on it and start building. After 30 minutes when I complete it, it asked me to sign up to get the resume. Left with no choice, i signed up but the progress of the previously built resume was all lost and I had to build from scratch. Again after completion, when I click download, it asks me to subscribe. I wasted so much precious time on this. Why do false advertising and trick customers? Why advertise as free resume builder when it is not free. I saw that the admin replied to one such comment saying that downloading in plain text is free. What's the point of a plaintext? Absolutely useless. I might as well type it all out on Notepad. Please do something to address this scam

I signed up for ResumeBuilder.com after seeing their claim of being "The Best Free Online Resume Builder." Turns out, there's nothing free about it! They tricked me into giving my email, expecting at least some basic free templates or services, but it's all paid with no freemium options. I feel misled and frustrated. If you're looking for a simple, free resume builder, avoid this site. Their bait-and-switch tactics are not acceptable.

Its a scam. They don’t let you unsubscribe. I followed all steps to unsubscribe and sent them countless emails. They told me they would unsubscribe me at some point 4 months ago and never did. Since then have been trying to reach them unsuccessfully. I hope their scam ring is prosecuted and goes down quickly.
