My basket is lovely, it’s a piece of art crafted from willow and I am delighted to be its owner. John is a true country craftsman.
I purchased the berry/peg basket recently, and it arrived very promptly. This is such a beautiful piece of work! It’s incredibly robust, has a wonderful shape, and has a nice capacity. The handle is really well secured, and there is no squeaking or creaking of of the weave at all. As an unexpected bonus, the basket smells wonderful and whatever room it is in is scented ever so slightly with it’s wonderful fragrance. This was my first purchase from John Cowan, but will definitely not be my last. What a pleasure to use this wonderful piece of working art, and admire the superior craftsmanship of his products.
My basket arrived packed with two beautiful postcards featuring Johns work. I adore my Flower Gathering basket. It’s perfect. I bought the large size and It’s just the right size for safely gathering my germs for pressing. I keep sniffing my basket too..! I love the scent of the Willow.
