From making my 1st call to the dealership, and speaking to Alfie Furneaux, we stuck up a friendship that allowed me to purchase my car, to have fun with. Alfie, responded to phone calls, and emails in a timely manner, and was able to support in every way. I want to start but saying I’m not really into cars, but need one and I don’t like sales people, Rob Beaton worked so hard to find a car at a price that was suitable. Big shout out to Steve too. Even when the deal was done and it was time to collect the car Rob took time to point out the dashboard layout, explain functions or the car and pared my mobile with the vehicle and explained how to. Rob was patient and helpful. A true gentleman and a credit to any company. Thank you Rob for your help.

I purchased a second hand KTM motorcycle from John Banks Colchester, the whole buying experience from start to finish was a complete farce. Dealing with the sales executive Neil was a complete and utter diabolical experience. Firstly he tried to change the fact that they couldn't accept cash for the remaining balance after agreeing to do so, they changed their mind when I said that I would change my mind on buying the bike. When paying the money I was informed that I owed a further £100. As the initial holding deposit had been refunded back to me, I did show them that this was not the case. I tried to send them the £100. Electronically which didn't go through (there system). It turned out that they owed me £4.00. I went to pick the bike up a few days before Christmas, my partner and I were waiting for the bike to be brought round to where we were waiting. After sometime had passed I walked round to where the bike was Neil and another salesman had the seat off trying to get the bike started and I firmly believe that they would have let me ride it home had I not seen them. He then said that they would get a New battery fitted and have it delivered to my house, the bike was delivered to me at a pre agreed day. 5 days later the bike failed to start again I had a look at the battery myself, the battery had clearly Not been replaced. The bike was picked up again with the promise that "another" battery would be fitted. 2 weeks had passed so I went to pick up the bike asking Neil had a new battery been fitted, his reply was I believe so, and I was told to keep it on a trickle charger which would be difficult when I'm not home. On my return home I checked again and this had definitely not been the case. So I have been lied to on 2 occasions. I wasn't bothered about the outstanding £4.00 but due to all the trouble I'd had with John Banks Colchester I had asked for it back, At this point I was emailing someone higher within John Banks Colchester. I had previously sent my bank account details to Neil regarding the refund. 6 weeks have now passed and I've yet to receive the payment. The only positive thing I can say about John Banks Colchester was the guy who transported the bike. I don't normally leave reviews especially negative ones but on this occasion I thought I would share my experience with John Banks Honda Colchester. I have nothing to gain by leaving this review and definitely will not use, recommend John Banks Honda Colchester. Garry MacDonald

Our car buying experience had been clouded by a previously unsuccessful car buying experience at another dealership who cancelled our order after a 26 month wait, so we were somewhat daunted by the prospect of having to start the process again. However, our experience at John Banks Honda, Ipswich couldn't have been more different and Kymberley Cant our sales specialist put us at ease from the outset. Her attention to detail and patience in dealing with the many questions I raised was exemplary and all were answered efficiently and patiently making our buying experience a pleasure. The whole process was stress free and painless from initial test drive through to order, and final delivery. We are very pleased with our new Civic and also the levels of real customer care we experienced. So well done and thanks to all involved.

We had a very good experience from buying my daughter her first car, from John Banks Suzuki. Darren Martin was our sales executive, nothing seemed too much trouble, assisted any queries we had and was honest in what he could do, he even went out of his way on collection day to pick up my wife to enable us to collect the car.

Bought an amazing Mercedes GLE from John Banks Honda. We had a fantastic experience from start to finish, Kimberly Cant was excellent. Nothing was too much trouble and everything went smoothly from start to finish. I cant praise Kimberly and Ed enough. Rob Heaton was brilliant in helping us to find a Suzuki SX4 S-cross. We had a tight budget but Rob kept at it until he found us the right car. It's been 17 years since we last bought a car so the process has changed quite a bit since then! Rob guided us through what to do and it was straightforward in the end. Very pleased with the process and with the car.

I recently had the pleasure of dealing with Charlie Coe, and I must say it was a fantastic experience. The level of service provided was top-notch, and I couldn't be more satisfied with my purchase. I’ve just collected my new Hyundai Ioniq 6 Ultimate AWD from John Banks Hyundai Cambridge. The entire transaction has been superb from my first contact via telephone, my subsequent showroom visit, to the collection today: and I’m convinced that the after sales service will be as good as the actual sale. I dealt with Darren Briggs and I can honestly say that I didn’t think that Sales people of this calibre were still in the motor trade! Fair, transparent, knowledgeable, but if he didn’t know the answer he’d find someone on site that did. Having been introduced to the Service Manager before I’d even ordered the car I felt that although John Banks Ltd is a large successful business, I was going to receive the level of service and support that I believe you can only find in private companies and is sadly lacking in most very large groups. Handover was seamless, the deal was fair and competitive and although not my nearest Hyundai dealer, I’m confident that I’ve found a business that I can rely on and build a good relationship with over the coming years. High recommended.
