Only been using this app for 1 week, but customer service is helpful. Sometimes the app will get "hung" and I have to exit out and back in to fix, but otherwise, a good app for the price.

We liked the setup of the smart apps but was slow to load and would freeze up from time to time. I did not like that you had to click on each day if a person was taking a week long vacation. Also at the end of the year, we did not like the fact that you could not do a mass download, you have to download each employee individually.

So far really friendly, and sooo much better that paper. My problem is that there is no option to choose Puerto Rico anywhere. We have to choose any state to complete any "country" or "state" field.

The Application Tracking module does not properly communicate through email with the applicants. Instead it sends the correspondence email directly back to the user who initiated the email instead of the applicant? Summary - you cannot currently communicate with your applicants with the email function. Stops the basic function of sending prospects the basic company application to fill out? Update 1/29/19: HRDirect has fixed my issue stated below. It was a timely fix.

I appreciate the attendance application as it makes it much more convenient to use rather than the paper tracking. However, it would be more helpful for our purposes to be able to have a separate bank for sick time and vacation time accruals. Also in the past few days as I've inserted info on the site, there seems to be glitches in not processing and I must sign off/on to achieve my objective. I would still however, recommend this to others.

Love the concept but needs improvement. Apps are slow to load, better instruction on how to use the apps are needed, need ability to put employees under more than one manager and would be helpful to have a phone ap. Thats all I have for now.

UPDATE: After I posted my first review and gave them 1 star I received a phone call about a half hour later. While they were unable to fix the problem in the software, I did come up with the idea to delete the 2 employees that weren't working and re-add them and start again. Thank god it was the beginning of the year. After using the software for a couple weeks now, I do like it. When a time off request is accepted it goes right into the attendance calendar. (way less work for me) There are a few things that I would change about it, but for the cost of it you can't go wrong. Had a rough start with the smart apps and customer service, however all is good now. Changing my rating from 1 star to 4! When you contact them it takes them forever to get back to you. I have 2 employees that I can't approve or deny vacation for certain days. It is frozen. I contacted them last week about it and they said that they were going to work on it. I also told them that I was considering getting the attendance app, but I had a few questions about it. You would think that they would want to sell me the app. I guess I will have to call them again. I would be willing to change my rating if they would actually help me and call me back.

The Attendance Calendar is acceptable. *I wish Managers can also see their calendar. *I wish additional time banks can be added to track other time off. *I wish to be able to print or download all calendar sheets together not individually. *I wish employee can view (only) their attendance calendar.

I would like to see the Attendance app allowing for multiple same-day entries. We have employees who take some time available split in a single day. For instance, if an employee is out, they may be tardy and also may leave early. In addition, it would be helpful to add individual employee notes (such as if they get an extra day added for their anniversary date falling mid-year. We are a small company in the manufacturing industry so I input all data as the office manager. Using this app for just over 1 week, that is all I have come across at this time.

The HRdirect Smart Apps is a really great idea. Easy to use and gets the job done. However, there are somethings that could be added or finessed. I am most impressed with the employee file print out. I recently had an employee file for unemployment. I simply printed out the employees attendance file and it had all the notes and everything so professionally laid out it was great! It made me look very professional. I would like to see a snapshot of all employees vacation time (used/left) would be great!!!*** Something that could be saved/printed out as well would be fantastic. I also am required to use a point system for tardiness/attendance. There is no where to add a (user input) field for things like that. We do not have sick days here so I have been using the sick day portion for my point system (it does work) but it would be nice if there was just a way to implement the point systems within the app, like depending on what attendance code you use it would have a set value/point to it and goes ahead and calculates all that for you and could also do a snapshot of all employees to be viewed, saved or printed out as I am required to post this information monthly. It would be nice to be able to share individual attendance files with the employee. I see you can share with supervisor/managers but I would like to be able to say... include the employee's email address or unique code and the employee would be able to view (not edit, of course) their attendance/ points / and vacation. That's it for now. I hope to see some updates soon!!! Thanks, Tiffany

I have not received the "welcome" email, so I have no idea how to use the applicant tracking app. I have had poor service on the chatline, since I have not yet received the requested welcome email. I don't have time to "figure" this out on my own. I want the instructions please.

I sent an email after viewing the application. It was not tailored according to my state laws. I asked for a call back and am still waiting for one now a week.

THE ONE DRAW BACK IS THE LACK OF ADDITIONAL COLORS THAT CAN BE USED TO DIFFERENTIATE BETWEEN CODES. IT WOULD BE NICE TO HAVE THE AVAILABILITY OF A COLOR PALLET.

I love the apps. The only thing that I would suggest improving is the length of time it takes the program to load and to make the I9/W4 app more user friendly with a smart phone. I found it very difficult to navigate that app on the smart phone. I thought it was just me since I am not a millennial. But the millennials also had difficulty navigating on the smart phone.

The product is actually not useful enough for us to use. There are some features that are essential in my opinion that are missing. For example, we cannot add in additional values to the application form or pass in values from an external source. Also the product lacks export capabilities. The purchase experience was adequate except that the materials do not describe the limitations of the product. The service/support was fine and responded quickly, but unfortunately this did not help with our concerns. This product seems better suited for incredibly small businesses and little else.
