I have been without a refrigerator for 5 weeks was told a repair person couldn't be located then one came out said unit needed to be replaced and it's been 3 weeks since he was here was told by a supervisor one would be delivered in 3-5 days if I accepted it as I did and called back on day 5 and was told earliest would be February 20,2025. Told them this is unacceptable and would take cash offer it's been another 7 days called today and had a lady give me the wrong extension number. She promised to call back within the hour and it's been 5 and no response
My experience was great bc I was able to get a new refrigerator without any problems. The technician came out to fix my fridge. It couldn’t be fixed. I received a check and was able to upgrade by adding my own money to the check. Customer service was also great. No issues at all.
The repair was completed as promised.

First American was great, however, the company they assigned to fulfill the service, Titan Air, was less than impressive. Which reflects negatively on First American.
I do not remember the name of who helped me but he was very helpful and answered all my questions.

The entire conpany is a scam. Do not use them at all. They will do everything they can to waste your time and are partnered with untrustworthy technicians. They drag you along and along without giving a care about you problem. I had an issue with my HVAC system. First technician diagnosed faulty defrost board. Took two weeks for a 2nd tech to come out to make the repair. But instead of performing the repair, he rediagnosed as my entire hvac system needing to be replaced. Over a month goes, by while being on my emergency heat under the suggestion of the first tech, with no approval on the replacement. Requested a cash out instead and same thing. I am told they are waiting on additional information from the tech. Just a whole bunch of waiting while my electricity bill climbs and climbs. Every time I called customer service to get an update I am met with rude demeanor and a there is nothing we can do attitude. Not a single person I spoke with cared about my situation or trying to get it resolved a quickly as possible. In the end only to be offered $800 as a cashout to replace a system that cost 10k to replace. I advise staying as far away as possible from First American. Edit: See the reply they gave for how little they care. They do not care their delay cost me thousands of dollars. Do not care the cashout they offered was insultingly low. After a month of dealing with nonsense they did nothing to make things right by costing me so much money. The point of a home warranty is to save me money instead I am 12 thousand dollars in the hole. And they want me to give them a second chance. Absolutely insulting. The way they conduct business should be illegal. The reply is making me regret taking the cashout but there poor service mentally drained me so much I just wanted to be done. I believe that is their plan from the beginning. Again this company is a scam do not use them. Going to take at a minimum being reimbursed the $600 for the warranty service or my electricity bill being reimbursed to make this disservice from being corrected and keeping me as a customer.

I have been with First American for years and this recent experience has been THE WORST and shows a complete lack of consideration for the customer. My claim has been (and still is) open for 2 months! Promises of return phone calls from First American have been false and there still is NO RESOLUTION. ZERO CONSIDERATION for the customer and 2 months just to be told “keep waiting while I forward this to another department” is UNACCEPTABLE. UPDATE: I contacted First American again after this post and was told my claim has been escalated. I was transferred to another section and left a voicemail and haven’t received a return call or update. With 100% certainty, I am indeed the contract holder and any names that were previously on the account should have been removed. Again, this has been previously addressed multiple times (if the calls truly are recorded, you can verify this instead of me doing all the legwork as usual). These errors are on First American’s side, not me as the customer. At one point, a representative claimed she emailed me paperwork, and she sent it a completely wrong email address. These issues are not the fault of the customer. Importantly, I STILL HAVE NO RESOLUTION on my claim despite my numerous calls and even through this forum.
My stove went out on me 4 days before Thanksgiving. They made me find someone to repair it. They determined that they would replace it. They gave me choices like the one I had but they couldn't guarantee color. They say you have to agree to this to get it replaced. After a week they then tell me to go to store and select a stove and pay for it and they would pay me the costs. I did that and then they sent me a check which was short about $70. I then didn't get my stove delivered until Jan.11th 2025. I didn't have a stove for Thanksgiving or Christmas in 2024. This is terrible customer service and need I say I canceled my policy after this experience. They suck!
