Laura, Dean and Andy I called up as had never bid online before, the team were extremely helpful and spent a lot of time answering my questions. The online bidding process was faultless and Andy the auctioneer made the long auction entertaining (you should be on the stage!). Post the auction I called up and spoke with Laura about my item and she was amazing - helpful, personable and friendly, we sorted the postage with the help of Laura and Dean in the office. Great from start to finish.
I have dealt with East Bristol Auctions a number of times in recent years, and their services are second to none. Absolutelely faultless from start to finish. Thanks again guys. Steve
Fantastic experience as a new customer! Thank you so much for your help today.
Put 3 lots in for sale No communication as to when up for auction 2 lots sold No communication Lot not sold went in an on line auction the following week which I was not told about Very poor
I recently placed a bid and won a Collectable via the Saleroom which when arrived was majorly damaged. I sent a communication to East Bristol auctions who sold this to us and all they said was ‘sold as seen’ not our problem we are not obliged to tell of any damage. We raised this with The Saleroom and they supported the auction house making statements that were not true. First warning to all is East Bristol Auctions will not detail any damage whether obvious or not and hide behind their disclaimer. The Saleroom are not empathetic or unbiased to issues raised. Buyers/bidders beware
I have given one star as I cannot award zero stars. I bid and paid for a 9ct gold, 1.5 carat diamond ring. I also paid for postage and insurance to cover all eventualities. The ring was supposedly sent to me in a sealed box. I picked up the box from the Post Office and immediately suspected something was wrong, because the box was so light, so I shook it and could hear nothing inside. I asked the PostMistress and the shop owner to witness me opening the package, as I was aware that otherwise, it would by my word against the auction house. I carefully opened the box, cutting through the gaffer tape that bound the package along all edges and found it was filled with blue polystyrene packaging. I removed each pellet and found that the ring was missing. I took pictures of this and contacted East Bristol Auctions immediately. The lady was very polite asked if I had checked the box. I told them that I had and the ring was missing and they said that they would investigate this, although the lady did say "I was a bit surprised when you mentioned the box being light, since a ring is not heavy at all so I don't see how you could tell whether there is a ring inside or not by holding the parcel in your hand." I suspected it was empty as I had recently purchased a ring from a (reputable) seller and there was weight in that package and I could hear movement as I gently shook the box. What she did say was that ring was packed in a bag, which was then placed in a larger bag and the carton sealed. I told them that the carton had certainly not been tampered with and sent them pictures of the box before and after it was opened. I have 2 witnesses who will testify to the box being empty. I was concerned with the actions of the auction house, as time had passed, I had notified my bank of the issue because I paid using my debit card. The auction house assured me that ring had been packed in their small packing room. The bank advised me to contact the seller, which I did and I informed them that my bank had been made aware of the item being missing. I heard nothing from the auction house for 1 week, ending today and the bank advised me that they would deal with it. I am over £100 out of pocket, given the fees, postage and insurance that I paid and now East Bristol Auctions take this action to block me from bidding on their's and their partners' site, stating "We do take chargebacks really seriously so we will now be forced to block you from bidding with us going forward.", so no mention of a valuable ring that I bought being missing? Thank God my bank is reputable and does not tolerate items being paid for and not delivered. Pictures available if anyone wants to see irrefutable evidence.

I was very impressed by the helpful friendly staff. It was exciting to watch the final days of the auction online. I'm so glad I came to you before taking my vases straight to the junk shop.
The staff were super helpful with my jewelry. I felt I was in very capable, professionally hands. Everything happened when they said it would. I'm super happy
After bidding successfully for a 19th century sampler I contacted East Bristol Auctions on two occasions to arrange delivery to rural Australia. Laura could not have been more helpful. The item was delivered in seven days. Astonishingly quickly! Packing was flawless. I thoroughly recommend the outstanding customer service from East Bristol Auctions and hope to do business with them again.
I recently bought a carriage clock from East Bristol Auctions and the process was very easy. I telephoned and received excellent service and the clock was delivered very quickly and Sonia did a wonderful job on the packing. Well done to you all.
Thanks East Bristol Auctions for selling my table and 6 chairs. You persevere for me and got a decent price in these difficult times.
Excellent service and look forward to doing more business with this auction house in the future
First time bidding with this auction house. Excellent communication. Parcel well packed and delivered within 48 hours of sale. Highly recommended.
Excellent communication, courtliest staff, fast service.
Spoke to Aiden gave me sound advice about entering my paintings in the next sale. Feel re assured.
They are just OK. I was disappointed that the pre-sale estimate (£4-600) I was given when I consigned an item did not correspond with the estimate used in the auction (£3-500). The photos they took of my item were very poor (bad angles, poor contrast, inaccurate colour representation) and my item was included in their online timed sale (so none of the excitement or competition of a live auction) despite being told it would go into a specialist sale. This meant it was alongside low value items and only just realised its reserve. For the commission they take, I expect better. Next time, I will simply use ebay!
I appreciate the entire team and especially Mr. Andy (very knowledgeable and supportive). They manage a number of auctions every month, with great attention to detailing, appropriate cataloguing and payments. Overall, its a great auction house to work with and highly recommended
found the market a bit flat last auction not surprising given the doom and gloom in the media , but yet again the rabbit was pulled out of the hat with great results in the atfersale , well done EBA 👏 The atfersale is the norm in my beloved EU I think all other auction rooms Established circa 1884 have the mindset of 1884 , with fancy catalogs costing a fortune they do about 1 auction every 1-3 months EBA are up to 18 a month so probably any item you have will find an appropriate specialist collectors or general sale, like the pair of glasses posted through the letter box saying if they are no good throw them away they in fact had provenance to Gandhi , made £260.000 so you can add honesty and integrity to the reasons I use East Bristol Auctions ,
Absolutely brilliant service throughout! Very professional and assisted me with my sale!
