This is the first time we have experienced using an auction to sale items. The person we met to set up our items for sale was very helpful and we confidently left it in her hands. The sale went through and we were very pleased with the result. We will use them again.

Take great care before entrusting your goods or money to this company. I won’t be doing either ever again. Once the legal process is complete I’ll make a fuller public statement detailing my harrowing experience with them.

They don’t answer mails for days. I have now waited 3 weeks for my iteams, and they don’t even bother to answer my mails. The Items has not arrived.

Avoid at all costs. They used Fedex, Fedex expressly state in their terms and conditions that most of the items this auction house sells is not covered on their standard liability cover never mind their increased liability cover. East Bristol charge Increased liability cover on the items they dispatch and maintain that they add this on when they dispatch goods. I have had a lost item and have found out from Fedex themselves that Increased Liability Cover wasn't added when the item was dispatched. Even if it was added the item I had purchased still wouldn't have been covered under the conditions of carriage.

I received excellent advice both pre-sale and post-sale. Very happy with the amount of money raised.

Staff are knowledgeable and always willing to do any research needed to put a realistic estimate on items. Auctioneers have a good style and always try to achieve the best price from the bidders.

Bought a DVD player in the auction and when received it the plug had been cut off which raised suspicion. Plug put on and unit connected to monitor but on power up there was no display, inserted DVD but there was no response from the player and display still blank. Asked for refund but the response was electrical items are decorative items ! There was no mention of item for scrap, repair or parts so item not as advertised. Have bought many items at auctions but this is the first time I have been scammed. Also standard charge for P&P is ludicrous.

First time selling at auction, so pleased to have chosen East Bristol. Special thanks to Lucy who was very patient and helpful. She gave advice without any hard sell, her valuations were spot on and communication was excellent. Everything was so well organised, already planning our next one.

They were really friendly I've never sold or been to an auction at all I had stuff my late husband collected that will never be displayed or neices and nephews wouldn't want so best was to auction and gad my money for lots sold when they said I would get it I couldn't fault them and would recommend and use them again for sure x

BEFORE you bid find out your delivery costs especially if you use their recommended in-house agents. Recently bought a ring hammer price £130 and in addition to Buyer's premium of £30.42 they charged a further £27 59 just for delivery. The Post Office would only charge about £6 for signed delivery with insurance. Outrageous charge and won't be using this Company again.

Agreed with the auction house to collect items days in advance, drove over two hours to collect to find out that half the item we purchased could not be found. The service has been bad before but this is just a joke

Sold a set of books through this great auction house. The staff were a delight to deal with. Straightforward and helpful in estimates (even though my items were very difficult to price). They have great Internet connected sales room. The fees are super easy to understand (no complicated pricing, listing fees, photography charges etc.) Why 4 stars? My items drew lower prices than I would have liked, but I can't fault the auction house for that. They really tried.

The best packing from an auction house I have ever experienced.....by far. Purchased a very large mineral and fossil collection which arrived together over 5 boxes, each item was very well packaged and carefully placed, very impressed. My husband and I have bought from auctions for years and never had such good service on the post/pack/delivery and the lady that I spoke to at the auction was very friendly and helpful. Thank you. Was of course also very pleased with my impressive collection!

I used East Bristol Auctions Ltd for a house clearance following my father's death, and to sell a number of items from that house at auction. Awful experience. Avoid.
