False Advertising - They advertise a deal for a cruise on Kayak.com, when you click on it the correct price still shows up, when you try to book it it says no longer available and the price shoots up $200 per person. It's been like this for 2 days. Get it together.
False Advertisements, Deceptive OnBoard Credit Advertisement, Extremely Poor Customer service, Rude Employees And Very Rude Management Operation team. Stay far from Cruise.com. Unless you don’t know any better. This company will not pay you any more that $10 an hour even if you have a Doctorate degree. (That should explain it all) also they show favoritism to certain supervisors & certain employees.
I booked an Alaskan cruise on Norwegian Cruise line back on September 14, 2018 for a May 2019 sail date. Final invoice was due 1/15/19. I called cruise.com when my credit card was charged $120 more than the final invoice due. At first they didn't have an answer for the reason and researched and said they would get back to me. I spoke to several other representatives all who promised to call me back or would pass the message along to the original booking agent. On 1/17/19, The original booking agent called me back only to say that Norwegian took away a promotion that I had received and there was nothing Cruise.com could do about it. I said, not my problem, you charged my card an unauthorized amount and if the price changed, you should have notified me prior to charging my card. Agent said he spoke to his manager and they offered me an additional $50 onboarding credit for my troubles. I want refunded the $120 additional charge that was unauthorized and made to my card. Still waiting for supervisor to call me back after 4 weeks. Cruise.com refuses to let you speak to a supervisor and when they say one will call you back, they never do. MyLast call was on 1/26/19 with M. Harrison from Cruise.com and a conference call with Norwegian directly(Wendy) NCL rep and Cruise.com agent who confirmed that I was still eligible for promotion. We went through both 1/7 and 1/17 invoice item by item only to determine two differences. Cruise fare was $80 less on 1/17 invoice but $200 invoice credit for airfare promotion was removed and missing from 1/17/19 invoice. All prior invoices had this promotion and NCL confirmed I was still eligible for promotion. Cruise.com owes and needs to promptly refund me $120 to my credit card.
They Confirmed my cruise wich was payed on one payment with my credit card, one day latter they cancelled my cruise with Princess Cruises with the excuse that they are not authorized to sell to non Us residents.....leaving me with non reffundable airline tickets to Buenos Aires for all my family!!!!
I just booked a cruise with them and then realized that if I would it just went directly to carnivals website I would have saved over $200. I will never use them again. When I called them they tried to tell me I was wrong and would not allow me to cancel my reservation. Don't use them!!@!
Booked 20,000 worth in rooms for a cruise. Rep left which had all the details of 4 families travelling and they were unable to give me a dedicated rep to give the families to discuss any questions they had on the trip, or to get help from them. I would never book with this company again. Their free promos are all filled with extremely fine print and should be constituted as false advertising as well.
I have tried to sign up for their affiliate program to sell cruises. My contact person was Claudia Ashboune, who did not respond to Emails or phone calls. On one occasion I was tarnsferred to Kathy Samaroo, supposedly Claudia's supervisor. She was rude and condescending with me on the phone. A feew days later I called, and talked with the program director of the affiliate service; Stewart Lowery. There was not one hint of apology, he repeatedly told me that if I have pproblems with the associates I should not proceed with the program. I thought this program would work for me, so I filled out the paperwork, including my CC number for the price of the course of $ 349. To my biggest surprise I found TWO charges from the company for $349. I tried to call Claudia, who of course, was not available. I asked for Mr. Lowery, who , of course, is out of the office. After several tries I talked with Claudia, who had no idea why I was charged twice. I asked for an immediate refund and cancellation of the whole program. I feel that this program is a total fraud, and BBB should investigate it in detail.
The WORST EXPERIENCE EVER!! I will NEVER use this company to book a cruise EVER again!!! There were things she had told me that were not included on my invoice!! We also were supposedly with a group and didn’t get the group rate but paid double!! I have called and left detailed massages my phone number, name, reason I’m calling and the cruise specialist if you want to call her that can not seem to return a call!! I have emailed many times and the only response I got if I got one was a invoice sent to me!! KIM has made this experience awful!!! There are also other in the group that has problems with her! This is supposed to be a pleasant experience and an exciting time!! At one point I was on the phone 1 hour and 25 minutes with still no resolution!! Still no resolution to this day!! NEVER again!! Vacationstogo.com they were absolutely AMAZING the last cruise I booked!! I will definitely refer them!! NO ONE should ever have to go through this MESS to go on a vacation!!
VERY BAD SERVICE. They make you wait on the line for long time and transfer between agents. We had to cancel the cruise due to illness and they won't do that. If we booked directly through the cruise line even if you did not buy the insurance, they will give you back credit. On top of that, they charge extra admin fees. Booking directly through cruise line is much better. WILL NEVER USE THEM AGAIN
Please don't trust cruise.com. They told you one thing to close the sale and them if you have any situation they will said the oposite. Its always a better option to go through the Cruise company, you will have more rights in case you want to do any claim.
On March 3, 2018 I booked a cruise to Mexico. I received a confirmation email. I have received SEVERAL emails since that date telling me that my entire balance, INCLUDING the deposit of $300, was due 8/19/18. Yesterday was 8/9 and they sent me a cancellation notice stating I never paid my deposit. What? "Oh, you must have missed the line in the original email that states that the deposit is due 10 days before the final payment". Um, yeah...I did miss that, because EVERY SINGLE EMAIL since then has stated that the ENTIRE amount INCLUDING the deposit is due 8/19. "Um, I have the money, can you run my card again?" "Well, I'll have to get manager approval. Please hold". 10 minutes later...."Ok ma'am, we will extend your payment to tomorrow". Gee, thanks. LIke I said, I have the money...that is not the issue. The issue isn't even that the fine print says the deposit is due early. IT IS THE FACT THAT EVERY SINGLE EMAIL AFTER THE BOOKING said the ENTIRE AMOUNT INCLUDING THE DEPOSIT was due 8/19. This is my first, and probably last, time booking with Cruises.com just because I spent 30 minutes total dealing with a problem before the deadline even passed.
WARNING!!! This company uses deceptive advertising practices. Just completed a cruise where free Signature Beverage Package, $200 onboard credit, and free specialty menu dinner reservation were promised. NONE were delivered. When called from the cruise ship to rectify, Cruise.com said they gave the best price for the suite on the ship and would provide no more. The work "Crooks" comes to mind.
HORRIBLE AND INCONSISTANT WITH PAYMENT AND HOLD PLACING PROCEDURES!!!!!!!!!!! ASSOCIATE ON THE PHONE THOUGHT IT WAS A LAUGHING MATTER
First time around we did not get our spa treatment as promised. I had a booking on hold and the agent was on her off day when I went to pay the deposit and customer service refused to honor the OBC saying that they do not make much of a profit on my booking.
IGLU CRUISES: I booked a cruise with them on may 17 they were very nice and helpful when booking was taken I was asked to pay a reduced deposit of £150, I received there conformation invoice stating the balance of the holiday was to be paid in March 2018, Unfortunately, I had to cancel the cruise when I emailed them to do so I was told that I would need to pay a further £250 plus a cancellation fee of £25 each before they would cancel my holiday THEY TOTALLY REFUSED TO CANCEL IT UNTIL I PAID THEM MORE MONEY After one week of receiving abusive and threatening emails from the customercare services which should be called the customer could not care less services, I was forced to pay them the money before more fees would be added on by them. I contacted Thomson holidays and explained the situation to them but unfortunatly they could not help me as the booking was taken by iglu cruises and it was them that wanted the money NOT Thomson holidays please be warned DO NOT BOOK A HOLIDAY WITH THEM they will take your money and refuse to help you if you ask for help you have been warned leave them alone use a reliable company
I have had 23 cruises through Cruise .com-they are excellent at what they do. Many of these people who have complaints surely are people who do not look at the fine print, which really isn't all that fine-it's straight forward on their website where they list the prices and incentives which you have to read before making a quick decision. Everything they have promised me, that they would do, has always been carried out on their part and put in writing on my invoice.I will always look to cruise.com first when looking to book future cruises.
Booked with Cruise.Com. Save over $1000 if I had booked with the cruise line. After I got my confirmation email from Cruise.Com my reservation information and $100 OBC was listed in my cruise line account. Also, I get $150 back when I am done with the cruise. I guess all the bad reviews are one offs. I only saw a total of 190 bad reviews on the internet. Nobody ever posts good reviews. I am sure Cruise.Com has successfully booked over thousands upon thousands of cruise since they have been in business.
I bought a cruise in the cabin with a balcony for 2 persons on the MSC Divina ship from February 25, 2018 from the port of Miami (Invoice # 2190368, confirmation # 28426889). The site indicated that for this cost I will get a cruise + $ 50 on-board credit + free WIFI + free drinks in mealtime. In addition, the seller indicated that it is sufficient to pay a deposit of $ 49. In fact, my card charged the full cost of the cruise. But most importantly - I was denied additional benefits ($ 50 credit + WIFI + drinks). The seller informed me that I bought a cruise at a low promotional price and no benefits will be granted to me. But I do not see instructions on the seller's website that this is an promotional price. At the same price, you can also book a cruise on the website of the MSC cruise company. And on the site cruise.com it was specifically indicated that all these benefits are "applicable" for cruise MSC Divina from February 25, 2018. This is cheating buyers. If it were not for the promise of additional benefits, I'd better book a cruise at the same price via expedia, where I could get additional points for this purchase. This is dishonest advertising in order to attract buyers through deception. But cruise com stopped responding to my letters. What for? They already sold me a cruise. Contact the cruise company directly. More guarantees of honor and conscience.
When you finish your reservation they will offer - rather push cruise insurance. They sell their own plan from an insurance company. Lines like Princess have better coverage for less money. Cruise.com will carefully avoid telling you about it. Once you paid you cannot buy the cruise line's insurance. You should call a few online agencies and tell them the best price your got. They might beat it or offer some incentive. Cruise.com is a factory and has no vested interest in helping you once you have paid. Plus, they book some many cruises that the cruise lines won't go up against them.
