Customer service is abysmal. Agents don't answer calls especially if you don't get email responses in a timely manner. Save your money and go any other route. I will never use them again. Be warned.

This was my first time ever importing. They were extremely helpful and good to work with. They did however scare me significantly as the product was be loaded on the ship by telling me that my product was likely subject to a 200% tax. It turned out it was NOT subject to that tax, but by not warning me to begin with and the telling me after it was too late that my purchase price doubled. Anyway I know it was an oversight but still they could have done a better job with that. Eric

Very unpleasent experience. We reached them via Amazon Service provider network. We were contacted by a representative that didn't have any will to work, quote or help us. He even stopped replying our emails. If you are new in this kind of logistic operations and need guidance, don't go with this company.

Now I believe the earlier review about Bait & Switch tactics. Add to this poor organization, too many agents on one case: Our experience started out well, nice, helpful agent--we even complimented agent to supervisor. Later we were shuffled between 5 different agents via their email system--each time us having to explain and re-explain. The original agent quoted a price for customs and delivery to the doorstep-- we proceeded based on that verbal quote. (silly us for not nailing it down in writing!). Throughout the process (ordeal) the shippers (who are pros) commented on the poor service we were getting from Clearit. We had to do much of the legwork and they would not communicate directly with the shippers. In the end it was like a part time job--much time spent communicating and clarifying to the many agents each in turn. At last, Clearit USA managed to get the shipment through customs and for that we are thankful. As for the promised delivery? Suddenly they demanded impossible papers (they needed the location and to know if there were any fees) which they could have easily looked up but would not. Instead kept demanding a "Arrival Notice" from the Airline. The airline, the warehouse people and the shipper assured me they did not need anything like it. Assume they regretted the earlier price quote. Then the price more than doubled. Then they said they don't give quotes over the phone, (but there was none in writing so how does that work?) When I balked, they questioned my memory, my honesty and integrity instead of owning up to their mistake (or questionable practices). We ended up driving to the airport and getting the very heavy crate ourselves. We're elderly and it was an ordeal. Our 88 year old neighbor saw us trying to unload and came and helped us get it to our doorstep-- which was dangerous. I explained the situation to them, but they just wanted more money. In our experience, Clearit USA is mostly incompetent company with questionable operating ethics. Proceed with caution nail everything down in writing and watch for any wiggle room in any agreement. There were a lot of explanations, blaming and excuses throughout and doubtless will respond in this manner.
