I bought two Bosma X1 cameras but only one worked. After five minutes on chat with "CF" at Bosma (bosmasmarthome.com) it was identified that my second Bosma X1 camera was faulty out of the box. But "CF" also stated that "Unfortunately we do not offer warranty outside of the US, as we are unable to ship replacements." Bosma therefore should not sell their products outside of the US. Manufacturers should stand by their products wherever they are sold. BE WARNED BUYERS OR PROSPECTIVE BUYERS OF BOSMA PRODUCTS OUTSIDE OF THE US ! UPDATE 25th November 2022 Second Bosma X1 camera STOPPED WORKING - COMPLETE GARBAGE PRODUCT beware. The camera keeps rebooting every half hour.

Customer service is poor. Despite online chat and telephone numbers provided on their website, the only method of correspondence is via email.

The product works great once installed. Installation is kind of a nightmare, not Bosma's fault specifically, but more the nature of the beast being one size fits all. Very frustrating. Once installed it is a super product, works every time. App is very good, my daughter and wife can use it easily. Will work very well for vendors. I have no sense of longevity yet, but is on high end reliability so far of the home automation genre.

Keypad works. but it is slow , it can take up to 20 seconds to open door. doesn't sound like a long time but when your just standing waiting it seems long.

I absolutely love coming home and not needing my keys to unlock my door. Thank you, so much! Just wish I could use it on my car to keep humans from stealing it.

The plastic insert supplied for my lock would not fit until I filed the metal slat from my lock. Luckily I had a file.

This outdoor surface cammera is very easy to install and hook up to wi-fi . The EX will show live or capture events on play back .

Both the bell/camera and door lock paired easily and work flawlessly for a month now. Super easy cell phone lock/unlock function and also 2 way speak with a person outside the door. Excellent quality picture. We are very happy with those units. We would recommend it 100%.

I purchased the sentry doorbell and the smart lock when they were still in Kickstarter yes everything was easy to install but everytime the batteries run out in the smart lock i play hell reconnecting to doorbell. The most frustrating thing is ive reached out to support half a dozen times they dont answer so i left a few messages no response worst customer service I've ever experienced

When trying to install the Bosma Sentry on the front of my house, which is brick, there is not enough room for the wires and wire nuts. For my application this does not work. I’ve been trying to return it. I emailed Bosma for an RMA to return it, they never answer me. I have sent several emails to them, and no response. I am not paying for something I cannot use. Beware if something is wrong, Bosma won’t answer you. Bad customer service. Get off the stick Bosma and do the right thing. I want a refund.

Although, it no longer works as intended; the Bosma is still used to lock our front door, manually. I like the concept of the unit, indeed, that’s why I haven’t removed it. My 3 teens couldn’t understand the purpose of having such a door lock and it became an oddity and possibly a toy for them to play with. My only true dislike is the the Bosma doesn’t play well with rechargeable batteries. This unit can go through batteries like it’s a job so using recharging batteries would be nice.

Doorbell does not keep internet connection. Very poor should of went with ring. I bought their cameras hope they are better or I wasted a lot of money

I initially received incorrect item, but once I contacted Customer Service, the correct item was sent promptly. Upon receipt of correct item, it was very easy to setup and use the Gateway. There was something I found strange though, there was no paperwork, item packaging or anything in the shipping envelope except the Gateway itself. Luckily it was very easy to search the internet and find what I needed to get the Gateway up and running. So the no paperwork, box issue is the only reason for the 4 star review. The Gateway has worked flawlessly ever since I hooked it up. 2 thumbs up and high five!

The combination doorbell with fingerprint recognition and deadbolt actuator are a good value. At first, I connected the lock to the door, then connected it through a Bosma hub. The device would work manually, but was unable to connect it to voice assistants, (Alexa or Google). This is even though the hub was recognized. Once I connected the camera/doorbell to power, then I was able to quickly and easily get voice control to work. The connection has been operational for approximately three days in total now, and have only once had to reset my voice activation sequence, as the lock/hub was unable to understand my voice activation code. Once I easily reset the code, the devices are again responding correctly.
