I purchased the whole house Rhino 600K for my 1200 Sq. Ft. Townhome. It definitely works for filtering chlorine and much improved taste of my water. I tested my water 2 months after installation and it is doing a great job of ridding my water of chlorine. I gave it 3 stars because it cost me $600 to have a plumber install it for me. It was a 2 hour job. I hired my own plumber because the Aquasana plumber referral came by to give me an estimate and tried to tell me it was a 3-5 hour job and his price was $1300!! I called and reported this plumber to customer service at Aquasana since he is representing their company. A rip off. My advice is hire your own plumber. The other thing I’d like to point out is that a water filter does NOT soften your water. If you want soft hair and skin you must buy a salt based softener. I feel they were dishonest with me when they sold me the unit. I specifically asked about this when I purchased the unit and was told it would work like a softener. It’s false advertising on their website where it states it will soften the water. Water filters do not and Aquasana does not offer salt based systems. I ended up purchasing a soft water unit from Culligan. They can add on to my existing Aquasana system.
I purchased their over the counter pitcher filtration system for $150 (sale price) with "lifetime water" subscription for filters. The filters cost $50 for 2 of them and we asked that they be shipped every 6 months. They were shipped approx. every 2 months and of course charged to my credit card. I tried to solve this problem but after several calls, just stopped the subscription completely, which they told me would have "repercussions". meanwhile, I had about 8 filters stockpiled, and they last about 6-8 weeks since it's just 2 of us using the water. Each filter has 2 rubber ring gaskets about the size of a penny. The pitcher is notorious for large seepage, and those gaskets are key to this. Recently I opened a new filter from its plastic to find the gasket overstretched and clearly defective. Customer service was exceptionally rude saying that had i not cancelled my subscription, they'd replace the filter for free, but since I did, they'd send me the gasket for postage of about $6.00. For a plastic ring. Which arrived and was the wrong product! (a gasket that was approx. 4") They also invited me to buy their new $200 pitcher, because the one I had was being discontinued due to the design flaws, but no discount offered (again, because I cancelled their "water for life" subscription. I strongly recommend that you avoid this company. Read the other reviews.... they are dishonest and difficult.
This is a follow up review: when the correct part finally arrived, my handyman installed this water filter today. Tonight, the hose blew off (and my handyman is a licensed plumber who knows what he's doing), and proceeded to flood my entire kitchen, kitchen cabinets under the sink and my entire basement. This is a total piece of crap. DO NOT BUY AQUASANA!
I’m only giving three stars so I can add my personal opinion from the research I’ve been doing. I have no experience with this product and I’m not an actual customer yet. I just came across this water filtration system company while searching online for water filtration systems because I just recently purchased a new home and couldn’t believe how many negative replies this company has. Again, this is only my personal opinion folks. First, I’m sure the actual filtration system works and does what it is supposed to do. Second, most of the gripes and negative comments were about customer service representatives not answering the phones and being put on hold for extended periods of time and a few negative complaints were about receiving wrong parts. This happens with a lot of online shopping. It’s inevitable with todays world on how we ship or deliver parcels. In retrospect, I cannot speak on behalf of how people are treated over the phone and the type of customer service this company provides. I am going to give this product a try and experience the service myself. If I experience not so great customer service, I will say I was forewarned. The reason I made this post is because I did hours of research for a great water filtration system and in many new homes being built these systems are installed all over the country so it doesn’t seem like a terrible product. I’ll post an honest and reasonable review after six months on water quality, customer service, delivery, installation, and overall experience. Stay tuned.
Aquasana scammers please dont trust them No physical address selling something you would be putting in your body. Try Googling them If you give them your credit card that will charge it without your awareness. They try to make you believe you subscribed to the ongoing subscription. Support pretends to put you on hold only to say the items you never ordered shipped... Funny thing is I called UPS and said the items from my tracking number wasn't picked up yet. *** One more thing the Custom Charges for Canadians are insane!!! Buyer Beware. I encourage more review need to be written they make it hard to complain about them
What kind of company would suggest putting something TOXIC into a filter to make it work? Ive been going back and forth with this company for 6 weeks now. We have had two under sink water filter systems over the years with no problems UNTIL we called because the system just shut down after putting the new Aquasana filters in. I called and they said that there has been a problem with ONE of the filters, they will be sending a replacement to me, try that. (filter was too short). THEIR ERROR. System still would not work. I called back and they said hey try THIS. Put a quarter or two in the filter sump and that may make it work. I said....ok but then thought about it. A QUARTER in my water filter? Quarters are copper and NICKEL. Copper is used for plumbing but the NICKEL is toxic. Why would I DO that? And why would a professional company who made the MISTAKE suggest a stupid Hack? I called back and wanted them to replace all the filters so that they would work or give me a whole new system. FIVE calls and they refuse to do anything except suggest plumbers washers on the bottom of each sump. UNPROFESSIONAL and they lost a customer.
will not cancel filter replacement after i removed defective whole house and under sink filter a month after installation. customer service is a joke
We purchased their total home water filtration system. In the last two years their product has filled our basement full of water, The first time a plastic coupler joint on their piping came apart with only 60 lbs. of water pressure in the main line per our Water Pressure Gauge on the main line before the filters. So, it was not a pressure issue. That was disaster number one! Thin this morning we woke up with no water pressure in the house. Went down to the walk out basement to find at least 3 inches of standing water and water running and flooding the basement again. The Plastic Cylinder that holds the first filter had split and evidently had been running most of the night as I waded through 3 inches of water to turn off the water shutoff. It would have been deeper but the water had been running out of the walk out basement door! In both incidents it was caused by the defective plastic they use for their equipment. And once again I emphasize only 60 lbs. of water pressure on the main line coming into the house. We never had any issues in the previous 17 years we have lived here in our new home until we put in the Auqasona "terrible" system. I only think about what else would have happened if we had been gone from home. We call them today and told them about the second event and asked if they could overnite the Cylinder so we could have water? Thier answer no we do not OverNite parts. And not a whole lot of concrn about our delima! So my wife went off to Lowes to get a whole new small pre-filter unit to replace the small inline faulty Auqasona Filter Unit to replace theirs. This is not the large filters on their system this is the small one before the water gets to the large filters. Any more issues and I will be ripping the rest of the Auqasona out **** 1 DO NOT BUYING FROM THIS COMPANY! RC
Thee reason I gave one star is because of the customer Service p person I talked with, I read past reviews and decided I would go with aquasana so I was contacted by ( Randall Parker) sales person, I told him what I was looking for in a system and he recommended the 1000,000,000 RINO whole house filter system with salt free conditioner and I wanted the UV light I. Purchased and when it arrived it did not have the salt free conditioner tried numerous times to get a hold of my sales guy with no avail contacted customer support never got an answer until I wrote a nasty email then got a response from a customer service rep who was very nice and I explained my situation and she explained that's not what he ordered (how can that be). I explained that our sales guy did not order what we discussed and she told me I could get the salt free conditioner added for $700. I said forget it and Give me a Return Authorization number and will send back....And what's really frustrating I have to pay for the return and insurance for something That was ordered wrong from my salesman. And they say 100% satisfied and get your money back.......RIGHT THANKS ALOT AQUASANA.......never buy a product from them.
I have had the whole house Aquasana water system for about 6 years now. We bought it with a under the counter reverse osmosis system as well. The house system works fine, there are 2 filters I replace every 6 months and now that the company sent me the O ring to navigate the filters when replacing them I have had no problems. I have always had a problem with the RO under the sink because when you go to replace the filters and reinstall the receptacles that hold the filters, they may or may not leak.... The bigger problem though is that when I've called the customer service line (several times) I was on hold for every call between 15 and 45 mins. One time it was longer than 45 mins and I just hung up, I couldn't wait any longer. When they do answer, the reps really don't care about the customer or that the company has faulty products, they just want to sell you more faulty products. When they told me that it could be the receptacles that hold the filters under the sink might have failed, I told them I don't understand how they could fail, there was no evidence of chips, worn areas, cracks, nothing. But I ordered new ones anyway, even though this is a part that should NEVER fail! Of course, the new cartridges were NO different than the old ones and they did not work either, water still leaked when put in place. Then they told me it might be the housing unit where you install the filters that may have failed, and it would be $60 to replace. I'm thinking, good grief, your products are failing a over the place here and you want ME to pay to try and fix them. I told them I want to return all new parts ordered and I'll just take the system out. They sent me instructions to send them back and said I would be responsible for the cost of returning them. They have horrible customer service and inferior products. I am left holding the bag here, going to a company in simple faith that at the time was highly recommended, paying LOTS of money for the product AND the constant shipments of 6 different filters. I say, DON'T DO IT, there are so many other house and RO systems that are better. It wouldn't take much.
I purchased a Rhino whole house system with tank to raise my ph from Aqua Sauna a little over a year ago . Turned it off after about 4 months because it was not working for me . Will start with the install had all kinds of problems with leaks from the provided fittings finally talked to professional plumber who said to use pipe dope along with the Teflon tape to stop them. Instructions said to never use pipe dope on the fittings . Keep in mind my well is not the best and had problems with filters stopping up and was changing them every 30 days or so , really expensive to buy from them. After shutting it off and letting it sit the bottom of one tank rotted out and let a bunch of small light green pellets on the floor of my well house and the fiber that wrapped the tank started to peal and come apart(coke bottle part on top of the same tank). The filters were causing low water pressure at times. Finally took all of it out the other day and am getting new Culligan system i hope this works better. Changing my filter system as well . I would not recommend Aqua Sauna get professional to help you out.
There were plenty of reviews stating it worked for well water systems but it didn't. We wasted $2500 on a whole house system to make our well water drinkable and it continued to smell like sulfur and taste odd at times. Even though the aqua sana site claimed it worked well on well systems. We had to have another water specialist out here to test our water and WE did the tests ourselves under his direction so we knew there was no funny business. The water straight from the well tested no different than the "filtered" water from the faucet. That was done with all new filters and uv light in the aqua sana system. The AS system filtered nothing. Would likely work well with city water, but not meant for a well.
Last April I purchased $250 worth of products from Aquasana. Within the first six months of owning these products the quality declined tremendously to the point where they were unusable. The water pitcher filter I bought leaks out almost half of the entirety of the contents during the filtration and the shower filters with handheld wands don’t offer anything more than a single line of water dumping out onto the top of your head. Upon emailing for help the first time when I changed out the initial filter the pitcher came with (light remained red even after the new filter was installed) I was given halfassed directions that told me to unplug the machine and to turn it on without telling me to plug it in and for me to remove the lid and no instructions to place the lid back so that resulted in the entirety of the contents of the pitcher to spill out over my entire counter. Therefore, when the problems only worsened and the products became unsatisfactory, I reached out for a refund rather than a resolution as I spent way too much money on three products for them to be functioning this poorly. What was Aquasanas response? They told me they offer full or partial refunds for the first 90 days and that I was no longer eligible. Makes perfect sense since they know they’re selling sh!t products. So, I posted reviews everywhere I could and a video to YouTube showing people how awful their products are and sure enough the next day I was emailed and assured I would receive a full refund for the initial purchase of the products. The email stated it would take 10-12 days. Yesterday on day 11 I emailed and requested an update as to where my refund was at. They ignored me. I emailed again today. They ignored me. I have looked up other peoples reviews and it seems extremely clear to me that this company that has supposedly been in service for 20+ years is selling sh!t products at prices they know they’re not worth and lying about giving refunds.
Customer for about 20 years...started w. counter top unit, replaced same and finally dual filter undersink unit about 08 years ago. Never had an issue that wasn't promptly resolved in the early years and this month had first "o ring" issue w. undersink unit. Reported problem Monday and totally resolved w. replacement on Friday. Superb filtrations system and stellar customer service.
DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. WE HAVE JUST WASTED £1500 ON THEIR EQUIPMENT AND IT DOES NOT WORK AND THEY ARE NOT INTERESTED IN YOU AFTER YOU HAVE PAID. SAVE YOURSELF ALL THE TIME, COST AND FRUSTRATION. THEY ARE THE MOST TERRIBLE COMPANY I HAVE EVER COME ACROSS.
I just installed their undersink filter, having tested our incoming water and in the process of fitting a water softener. I first tasted and immediately spat it out, as it tasted wrong, then tested the water, with the same tests I used on our incoming water - the filter added over 500mg/litre of LEAD!!!! While softening the water, removing all calcium and changing the PH level from acidic to high alkaline. I tested our incoming water twice more - no lead! I have contacted the HSE, as I called Aquasana and the woman on the end of the phone, was more concerned with finding my order number than listening to me.
If I could give it zero stars I would. Trust me, DO NOT BUY ANY SYSTEM FROM AQUASANA. They don’t send you all the fittings you need. (They happen to be important like pex tubing and connections fittings for UV light). With these fittings, my plumber says he can’t install. After calling Aquasana, they told me that is sates in the owners manual that it might not come with all fittings. I’m not a person that reads the whole manual online before buying a product. I just trust that the description and photos that are punished by the company are true and not misleading. This is definitely meant to mislead because it’s very easy to add a big disclaimer right beside the picture. To make it worse, they don’t even make the parts, so they couldn’t send it to me. I’m writing to the BBB next. Save yourself time and buy yourself a filter system from a company that isn’t deceptive.
Very happy with this company. Excellent customer service, focused on meeting your needs and willing to work with you. Heard about the product from my brother in law, didn’t know much about water systems, especially well water but beyond satisfied. Aquasana answered all of our questions and assisted us with our personal needs. Would recommend this company for everyone regardless of being on well or city water.
I purchased a counter top with pitcher about three years ago. The best filtered water I ever had. After a couple of weeks it started to leak I emailed customer service and after 3 weeks they responded and wanted a " video" which I suspect was because they couldn't understand English. Since I liked the water I just kept it on a tray. January 2021 it quit working. I ordered another one and it stopped working after two months. I called customer service and she was very polite and understanding and sent a replacement. It did not work .Received a second replacement, same thing. Third replacement works but leaks even when filling. I called CS and cancelled the filter replacement contract. She was very honest saying that Aquasana was aware of problems with the countertop system and in process of correcting it. I will not purchase another one. GB Mishawaka, IN
Ordered the h20 whole home system plus uv light system. Order shipped on time but ALL INSTALLATION FITTINGS were not included. Out $150 for installation service fee since installation could not be done without missing parts. 4 phone calls / 3 emails finally aquasana responded. Parts sent. Installer reschedule, came and found not all the fittings were sent. Another $150 service charge. Called aquasana again 1 hr on hold. Aquasana does not have basic checklist to ensure all parts sent. Something seriously wrong with the mgt of this company Beware before ordering you may not get what you ordered. Update: File a complaint with the Federal Trade Commission. alleged violation of the Consumer Review Fairness Act. I belief Aquasana by claiming 15,000 positive reviews is misleading consumers. Maybe time for a class action lawsuit?
