It does not work. Here is my email to the auctioneer owner regarding their 10th Nov 2022 auction. Did you set out to buy the worst live bidding platform there is? I invite you to do the decent thing for myself and the vendor of lot 275. Yesterday, I tried to live bid on lot 275 When I pressed "bid" things happened on my screen to indicate my bids had been made but they were not placed your end; yours is the ONLY live bidding platform I have problems with. The lot sold for only £100, which is a joke; I was trying to bid up to £320 (don't tell me to use absentee bidding either as a white wash) Do the decent thing; get a better bidding platform and re-auction lot 275 In amazement and disgust PS Adam Partridge now deny any problems with their in house live bidding platform BUT I am sure they have a session cookie problem (where they time out cookies on their server while the cookie on your PC stays active and believes it can place bids, when it can not), NO forward live bidding option (NOT absentee bidding, totally different) and no pending lot alarm (so you can easily miss the lots you want to bid on); horrible, truly horrible (both their platform and their inability to acknowledge it is horrible).
I was selling a relatives house so I got Steve to come round from the Garstang branch to value and take some items for the auction. I was very impressed with Steve , he was very professional and obviously knew what he was talking about, he was very paitent and took his time and he also involved us on the process. They got very good prices for the stuff he took and I couldn't say a bad word about him or the experience we had with the company as a whole.
Adam Partridge auctions are only interested in making money for themselves, they are a complete rip-off. Don't trust them to sell your antiques. You will be sorry. Their commission and fees will soak up whatever you expect from the original valuations.
I have had a problem with the postage system. You quoted a wrong invoice number and no one responded to messages or phone call. Now just paid the postage cost so i am hoping that my item won at auction will be sent. Reading some of the other reviews this seems to be a common problem. Shame because I enjoy the auction house and management team so this leaves a very disappointing feeling.
Terrible communications. Requested P&P via auction house system, per procedure provided. No confirmation received in respect of the request made, no response to email requesting status update and no one answers the phone. Really pathetic. There are many efficient auction houses out there, who deserve the business. This is not one of them.
This is a great Auction house, Atmosphere is Fun/Great unlike others We've been to. Been buying for years with no issues at all. We just follow the instructions on our email and pay our bill and the auction house responds promptly with a receipt and further instructions of how to request postage etc. This is greatly run and my husband loves returning to add to his collections, Thank you to all @ Adam Partridge Auctioneers! ABSOLUTE DISGRACE OF AN AUCTION HOUSE. I EMALED THEM 7 TIMES WITHOUT REPLY. TO ADD SHIPPING COSTS TO THE BILL. NO REPLY. NOW THEY BLAME ME FOR NOT PAYING THE BILL. HOW CAN I IF I DONT NO THE TOTAL. NOW THEY HAVE BLOCKED ME FROM BUYING ON SALEROOM.COM. AS HAVE MMANY OTHER AUCTION HOUSES ON THERE ADVICE. THERE MISTAKE HAS NOW BEEN BLAMED ON ME.
We used this Auction House again after being impressed the first time last year. We have sold a lot of Paintings on this occasion as we have now moved to Italy. Whilst the initial appraisal not quite as thorough as our first visit and we felt somewhat underwhelmed with the hurried and dismissive Valuer we were nonetheless impressed with the service and outcome.
Staff have always been extremely helpful and the auction is well organised and fun.
In general a good auction house with good descriptions and reasonable prices. I would have given 5 stars but for the prolonged postage times. This is the longest ive waited for postage from any auction room. If they improve this i wont be able to fault them.
From start to finish the experience was excellent no need to chase anything bought some great stuff paid my invoice the postage was paid for packed and sent. A 10 out of 10 a no nonsense organisation that just gets things done Well done all I will be back
I am a regular at both salerooms, although being a Scouser, am more familiar with the Liverpool branch. From the porters to the officer managers upto the dizzy heights of Mr Partridge himself this business seeps with integrity, professionalism and good intentions. As both a buyer and seller ( more the former if honest.) I find both processes seamless.
Excellent service from Adam Partridge Auctioneers and Valuers. I found the whole process from valuation to selling very interesting and exciting. Steven Parkinson was very professional and informative. He explained the procedure of selling at auction very clearly and he patiently answered all of my questions. If I have any items to sell in the future I will not hesitate to use Adam Partridge Auctioneers. Thank you for making the experience of selling at auction positive and enjoyable.

The best auction house by far and I visit numerous , the staff are friendly and professional and go out of there way to help you , adam is also really friendly and helpful and likes a bit of banter with clients,all in all 100% the best auction house
Four day sale but only one day to view!!! Therefore had to rely on condition reports. I am guessing there were lots of condition report requests on the back of the lack of viewing. The majority of these reports were not great, again probably brought about by time constraints and I’ll say it again, lack of viewing time. Collection is also problematic with such a large sale with no slots available on the preferred date. Seems to be at their convenience rather than the paying bidder.
The support and advice provided by Steven Parkinson has been excellent, following the need to deal with our Mother's estate. Very helpful and provided much needed help at this difficult time. I would recommend Steven to anyone requiring help with valuing and sale of items in a trustworthy, timely and efficient manner.
Absolutely superb! A professional and caring business, that dealt with me very well this week whilst I was processing items from my recently deceased mother Steven, who I met in Garstang, was knowledgeable, honest and highly professional whilst valuing items. Once the decisions had been made by me and my family over what to sell he made that process very easy also. Overall a great experience and I await with interest the upcoming auction. Thanks!
Always very easy to deal with, great auctions, and importantly sensible buyers premium. Very rare to find 20% inclusive of vat these days, and makes a big difference to those of us who buy.
disgusting service, paid invoice on 17th, waited another 5 days for them to sort out p&p which was £95,m excessive to say the least but went with is as i assumed a quick dispatch via DHL. Chased up numerous time, informed dispatch would be Thursday or Friday, nothing. Far better auctioneers out there to use, i will think twice before using them again, would rate zero if that was an option
