A big thank you to Adam Partridge Auctioneers. Our recent auction was handled expertly by Ridley at the London Showroom. Everything was dealt with very professionally with ease and charm from the beginning to end of the experience.Looking forward to the next time.
We had excellent service from Adam partridge auctioneers Macclesfield. The whole process was very professional and helpful. Niall visited us at our home and he used his expertise and knowledge to value our items giving us a lot of information about their history. He explained the selling process clearly and how we could watch the auction take place. It was a pleasure to welcome him into our home.We watched the auction on line and found the sale of our items really positive and exciting. Would definitely recommend. John and Ann Clayton.
Easy registration to bid, and lot won transferred from one auction room to another, for ease of collection! All staff were professional, friendly and helpful; altogether a very good experience!
Over the past year had three things valued by Adam partridges 1. They said was a reproduction worth nothing - sold at another auction house for £650 And it goes on with things I have taken there or asked for valuations they have given terrible valuations where other auction houses have got good money . Don’t know what’s happened here but would not use this auction house at all staff not knowledgable at all and I think they just can’t be bothered … terrible
Just saw Adam Partridge and his wife, Melissa, in action at a charity auction event, raising funds for Maggies at the Christies hospital. They were fabulous. Highly recommend for any corporate or charity fundraising auction event!!
Awful experience....cannot recommend at all.
The valuer/auctioneer supposedly from the Torquay office called at my property to view items I had for sale, on the 1st August. He gave me the impression that they were busy next week but would telephone me the following week to arrange wrapping and removal of items to auction.Since then I have called several times, the auctioneer has been inIreland London, Macclesfield twice and then on holiday, on the 4th September I had a call from their new receptionist to say they were short staffed and wouldn’t be able to take my items. So 5 weeks from 1st visit I’m back where I started, very unprofessional I call that, I hope Adam Partridge is aware of they way his minions are bringing his good name into disrepute.Extremely disgusted patron.
HAD TO CONTACT TRADING STANDARDS, BOUGHT A UNDERWEIGHT FULL SOVEREIGN IN GOOD CONDITION SO NO REASON TO BE UNDERWEIGHT. I HAVE ASKED FOR A FULL REFUND! BUT WAS TOLD BY STEVEN PARKINSON MNAVA, SENIOR ACTIONEER AND VALUER, THAT THE 1888 FULL SOVEREIGN WITH A WEIGHT OF JUST 7.91g WAS WELL WITHIN THE TOLERENCE. BUT THE UK COINAGE ACT OF 1971 STATES THAT THE MINIMUM SIZE SHOULD BE 9.37. WHEN I HAVE QUESTION THIS AND ASK ONCE AGAIN FOR MY REFUND EVEN UNDER MY CONSUMER RIGHTS ACT 2015 '14 DAYS RETURN'. I WAS TOLD 'NO REFUND' WOULD BE MADE. I JUST THINK MAYBE REFUSED BECAUSE I HAD TO ALSO RETURN FOUR OTHER SOVEREIGNS FROM THE SAME AUCTION WHICH ALSO WERE NOT AS DESCRIBED?. WILL BE TAKING THIS FURTHER... I AM GLAD TO SAY I HAVE HAD A FULL REFUND '3 WEEKS LATER' FOR THE 5 SOVEREIGN COINS.
over 28 days still no money form my sale, have a really bad feeling about this not sure how to get the momey they owe me. A real rip of from start to finish they promise you £300 you get £150 well thats not true you get nothing
I have experienced multiple problems with AP platform. On changing my password I was unable to login to my account. I experienced a platform crash on 2 different computers including a brand new computer. Of course I tried clearing the cache, cookies etc., and even installed a new browser on both machines - and I still experienced problems logging in. I was able to eventually log in, by ignoring the error message to view my bidder account, and by using Chrome exclusively. AP told me that they didn't have any technical issues. I sent a detailed bug report along with the stack trace of the crash, experienced on both computers. AP is adamant that it's my computers that are at fault. Had it been a cookies or cache related problems I'd have expected a new installation of Firefox to not exhibit the crash. I dispute their assertions regarding my computers since I don't have any problems with The Saleroom or Invaluable, nor any other site for that matter. To cap it all, I wanted to bid on an item today. Having logged in to the AP bidding platform I pressed the bid button - my bid wasn't registered. I could see the latest bid and could hear the auctioneer, and I was prepared to bid more, but the AP platform would not accept my bid, despite the bidding button being active. Pressing the bid button had no effect. I lost the item. Needless to say, I was disappointed that the platform had let me down. I immediately called AP to complain - again they told me the fault is at my end. Checking their records, they could not see a bid from me. Avoid the AP bidding platform - it doesn't work. Use The Saleroom or Invaluable instead.
It's almost a year since I purchased several items and I still haven't received them. When I called to ask why I am still waiting to receive my items they told me they had no record of me. What?! But you happily take my money and decide not to post anything?! Charming. Still nearly £700 out of pocket and non the wiser. Do not waste your effort and money buying anything from this dodgy auction house is my advice.
Never have I come across a more clueless and rude bunch of people. Completely and utterly incompetent! Do not sell anything of any value here. You have been warned.
Cannot believe this company cannot arrange postage for a small item like a bracelet. We buy regularly from many auction houses across the UK and this is the first company we have found that cannot arrange this very basic service.
First rate the new movement of small items within the auction various locations is a real benefit.Congratulations on a truly unique approach to collection of items.
This was my first purchase from both Adam Partridge or a UK auction house. I was very impressed by the professional and fast responses and the packaging and speed of the delivery. I would certainly use them again.
I was really looking forward to bidding online at their recent auction in Ruislip but there was a persistent problem with the video link, such that there was neither sound nor video for much of the time. I frequently contacted them to let them know of the problem as the auctioneer seemed unaware of the issue and appeared not to care either. Several times they managed to resolve the issue and video and sound was restored but, within minutes, it was gone again, which was extremely frustrating as it meant that I had to continually watch the auction to see when my items were about to go under the hammer rather than listen to the auction while doing other things. I did manage to buy one of the lots that I was interested in but left the auction early as they seemed unable to resolve the problem. This is a shame because my bids on the other items in which I was interested (whether or not I was successful) might have meant those items sold for a bit more. So, no, it was not a very pleasant experience and, hopefully, if I do log on to another one of their auctions, their IT people will have sorted the video problem out.
What a company, have contacted me after 8 months to say they have an item of mine that still requires payment for postage. I’d forgotten totally about it. What honestly this demonstrates, thank you and I’ll be bidding on future sales safe in the thought that if my memory lets me down AP won’t. Have a great day
Great to work with such a professional auction house.
Never having sold anything at auction before I was a little apprehensive but I needn’t have worried. The process was so straightforward from beginning to end. I submitted photos of the three items I wished to sell, was happy with the online valuation and really impressed with the employees who came to collect the furniture to be auctioned. I was kept informed throughout, followed the auction online and received more money than I had expected. Yes, the sale fee is quite hefty but I certainly wouldn’t have received anywhere near the amount I did had I tried to sell the furniture items independently. I would certainly contact them again should I have further items to sell.
I recently sold my late fathers coin collection through the Preston branch. Steven Parkinson met me at the door and was friendly and professional from start to finish. He was very helpful and kept me up to date with everything that was going on regarding the auction. I thoroughly recommend this auction house if you have anything you wish to sell. I shall definitely be returning if I find another treasure in the future.
