I have been very impressed with the speed and efficiency of the Adam Partridge shipping team and their processes - less than a week after bidding online at their Studio Ceramics sale my items arrived safely. A great service. It makes such a difference to the online bidding process to know that items can be shipped cost effectively, securely and in a reasonable timeframe. A good job well done. Marvellous!
This is such a shame, I have been using the Ruislip auction house for over forty years when it was owned by Peter Bainbridge, when the saleroom was always packed and it was fun to go there. Unfortunately now they seem to think they are Sothebys with a 30% commission rate. I have had a bit of a problem with entering some items which the female (who actually stated that it is her auction house) there who didn't didn't really want to offer my items for sale, but took it in, grudgingly after speaking to Ridley Partridge. On the auction day, I watched online, and when my item came up (which had a value put on by the auctioneers of £50 - £100) the bidding panel showed £30.00 but immediately Ridley asked for £10.00 and in the same breath (not even giving any online bidder the chance of bidding £10.00) he said no sale and moved on to the next lot. When I went to collect my goods, I had to wait for it to be re-boxed and while I was having a conversation with the staff, the aforementioned female started shouting derogatory comments from an upper level, which got me wound up, this ended up with one of her staff pushing me and her shouting at me to get out of her auction house. After some shouting by both parties, I finally left in a very irate mood, which is not usually my character. I'm afraid this place has gone down in my estimate, and several other people that I have spoken to. The fun has disappeared from the place, and you can no longer even get a cup of tea and a piece of cake, like the old days. I wish I could put zero stars

Dreadful experience one of the most dysfunctional auction houses Added 60 lots to a sale all happily accepted including a £ 5/7k item ignored withdrawals and reserves , failed to donate unsold to charity , Called my entries carboot rubbish , charity shop rubbish and done that to others ,seems to have high turn over of staff who are non complimentary of the owner , avoid at all possible far better firms around

POTENTIAL BUYERS BEWARE ------purchased 2 lots described asyellow metal { my understanding is that this term is used to indicate unmarked gold} from the RUISLIP branch via online auction site only to discover on testing that both contained zero gold ---- raised it with auctioneer to be told you are on your own there is nothing we can do to help approx £800 loss for myself including over £300 in fees to the auction house VERY POOR SERVICE --- BE WARNED PS If you have read the response to this post from the auctioneer then be advised that this is a very selective edit of my correspondence and discussions with their representatives and whilst factually accurate does not represent fairly your stance in my opinion --- on the positive side i would like to put on record my thanks to the Cheshire saleroom manager who contacted me by telephone and dealt with my complaint in a most courteous and professional manner
Poor service. I put in my bid on-line, was the highest bidder, received an email to confirm, went to collect the item and was told it had gone to a lower bidder in the room......
Excellent service from AP Liverpool. I have bought from them a few times and it’s always been a great service. A special mention to Jack for packaging my items so well. Everyone I have dealt with has been helpful and polite. Highly recommend them.
Terrific personal and professional service from Ridley at Adam Partridge London, who recently travelled a distance to our Wimbledon home to take items (driving his van, like Dad, Adam) for his September sale. Ridley did a realistic valuation, managing expectations with courtesy and patience. Building the London arm of the UK-wide Adam Partridge business, Ridley's a young, rising star of the auction world - a chip off the old block but his own man. Will watch his progress with interest...
The sale was conducted efficiently enough. However: I brought my items on day 1 of a 3 day sale. I received the invoice the day after the sale ended (i.e. day 4), then had to complete an online form for postage. Nothing for a further two days, when the postage quote arrived....effectively a week after the sale. The good Lord knows when I shall receive the goods! Contrast that with another lot purchased on the same day (also a 3 day sale) from a different auction house. They rang me the same evening, I paid over the phone, and the goods were despatched the next day, arriving the day after.
Contacted Adam Partridge Liverpool branch to ask for advice following my mum’s death. Spoke with Olly and Kath who who were so helpful, kind and knowledgeable. Can’t thank them enough for their advice. Would definitely recommend! Thank you, Liz M

Fantastic auction house, we have been so impressed with the service. Very reasonable prices for postage. I was nervous as the items were delicate but beautifully and carefully packaged, a real joy to unwrap!
Very pleased with this UK auction house : rare items for my collection, at fair prices, compared to those found in my country (France), even having to add the 20% import VAT shipping abroad provided (very careful wrapping) Useful website I am looking forward to winning collectables again !
