Put in an order to sell currency at the London Bridge branch. Travelled in with the cash, only to be asked the amount when I arrived and immediately told that we didn’t have the requisite documentation to prove where the cash had come from. I am a lawyer and understand that they are required to comply with anti money laundering law and accordingly took proof with us. When we tried to show them the documents we had, they didn’t even look at them, and said they weren’t sufficient. When I asked what would be required, they said they couldn’t tell me as then I could just fake the documents ? I suggested that when people put an order online they should also provide a list of the compliance requirements to save people a wasted journey but again the manager told me that people would just fake the documents if they did that. I didn’t much like being accused of being a criminal, nor did I appreciate wasting my journey and the refusal to provide details of the information required. It was now clear that AceFX clearly didn’t want to actually buy our dollars (perhaps the rate was not preferable for them so they are instructed to reject transactions until it benefits them who knows)…we went to my bank instead where I was able to convert the dollars with no issues and at the same rate….
Efficient service. Helpful advice given by Hussnain. No complaints here.
Was served by rachel who was very helpfull & polite will come back again
Service is zero. There are two scumbags who consider themselves specialists. No politeness. But that's the point. That I gave them the money. To exchange Euros for British Pounds only 2000 Euros. I was hoping to get an immediate return from them for my refund in pounds. But those staff insisted only to transfer that refund in pounds to my bank account. As I was a person passing through the city of London, I accepted their offers. As the employees of this company demanded. I presented them with my bank, ATM card. On which is my bank account short code and account number, my name and surname are perfectly understandable. All I had to do was fulfill their request to write my address on the slip they gave me. I wrote down my residential address to those employees. Those persons promised that the money would be in my bank account the next day. But my money was not there. These employees didn't even bother to reply to my messages that I sent them. Until I took it and a day later I called them myself. Employees instead. To admit my mistake. They accused me of giving them my bad bank account details. Although I constantly told them. That it was them who wrote all the data from my bank card themselves. I needed my money urgently. But instead, I suffered losses and I was left to blame for the damage they did to me. I asked them for information on where I can apply. That they should be punished for what they did. I was only called by them and sent to the wrong place... I am still waiting for my money back.
Member of staff at the desk was rude and unhelpful, made absolutely no effort whatsoever. Used the service before and wasn’t impressed, but thought I’d give them a second chance, as maybe it was a one off. Total garbage for such a competitive market. Take your business to a company that actually values it.
Very happy with the service provided by Ace FX. The whole process from completing the order online to collecting the currency(the Canary Wharf office in my case) was straightforward and stress free. Plus the rate was very competitive. Would highly recommend.
Decent rate if you buy or sell online, used them for years even if the staff always seem grumpy, I've continued to use.
I was in need of some money for my holiday at shortish notice from somewhere I could actually pick up in person without too many problems. ACE-FX at London Bridge could fulfil that. Not the best rates compared to some of their competitors, but slightly easier to deal with. One slight downside is that in order to get a better rate you have to order in advance and then transfer the money so you can pick it up a day or two later.
I called Ace FX in the morning just after 9am asking whether I should buy my dollars in the shop or online. I was advised to buy online because there is a better rate. I did this and was able to collect my Dollars in the afternoon on the same day with photographic ID. Easy and seamless process.
very bad experience with their empoloyees. very rude and aggressive.
Great guy, helped me with a fair and fast currency exchange, totally recommend this place
need to mention this ,I used Ace-fx in London Bridge to exchange 1500€ and Ray was really helpful (place was really crowded and he took his time into helping me )my English is not so good :) ..highly recommend this exchange..A+++
Exceptional service at Ace-fx in London Bridge! Ray went above and beyond to assist me today. His expertise and friendly demeanor made my currency exchange experience seamless and pleasant. Highly recommended!
I didn’t read the reviews before using these guys. I had left over Euros and wanted them to be changed into GBP. I found their site on the net and the rates were one of the best I’ve seen. I went online and filled in my details and received an email saying my GBP would be ready collection after 10:30. I went to the Canary Wharf branch and showed them the email confirmation. I gave them my driving license (for ID) and the cash. The lady them informed me it will have to be transferred into my account. I had to write my account details on a piece of paper and was told it’ll be in my account between 3pm and 5pm the next day (even though the email said my cash would be ready for collection). Once I had left I then started to google them and saw the bad ratings/ comments. At this point I was worried! The next morning I get a call from them asking me to confirm my sortcode as they were in the process of sending me the money, I had given wrong sortcode. This was nice of them to confirm. Good customer service. Before 2pm the cash was in my account. This is the first time I have used them and would definitely used them again. I haven’t bought currency from them but would be willing to try. All round, this has been a great experience.
DAYLIGHT ROBERRY. I WENT TODAY TO EXCHANGE 20 EURO INTO ENGLISH STERLING POUND. AT FIRST THE COUNTER CLERK TOLD ME IT'S £17.86. THEN I WENT TO COLLECT MY MONEY FROM MY CAR AND RETURN TO EXCHANGE IT JUST 5MIN GAP. AND THE COUNTER CLERK GAVE ME £16.75. DON'T EXCHANGE YOUR MONEY FROM THEM . BIG CHEATERS.
Order submitted online. Was asked to read Ts & Cs. Read all exclusions and conditions. Took an hour off work to collect at the time indicated on their confirmation email. Was simply told we don’t buy your notes. What was the confirmation email about??!! Total waste of time and energy. Received a reluctant apology when leaving the store.
Not even worth a star… made my life complicated and despite of fixing my rate online and been ready to collect the amount from the branch ,they couldnt , stating that they need proof of literally everything…offering me only just a partof the money to be exchanged … ridiculous, how would i have know that in advance as nowhere has been clearly stated apart from a proof of ID …. Avoid at all means… not helpful whatsoever
Scam. Deposit rejected. But I filled a complaint and made a crypto tracing report!
Having a real problem with this company. Sent leftover notes for cash back last week (RM Special Delivery) and they arrived Tuesday. Rang Wednesday and was told I would get a call back in 30 minutes once my package had been located, no phone call and still not been paid yet (it's Monday of the following week now), can't get the phone answered. Emailed customer services last Thursday and they were going to locate my package but still waiting for a response. It was definitely signed for at their address so have they lost it??
This is by far the worst exchange in London with unbelievable level of rudeness and racism. The Head of International Transfers at Canada Square branch can barely speak in a civilised way or behave with the minimal humanity manner. Including but not limited to through money and ID at people, refuse client who request smaller notes base on skin tone, yell at client to push for rush decision benefit their side, threaten to call police and security if you ask for apology. The only word can describe the feeling I have experienced here is nauseous. If you want to experience and witness it in this modern world please go to this exchange, otherwise please avoid it at all cost! Zero star to this exchange without any doubt. The only one star is to Canary Wharf Security team who expressed their full understanding and actual support in putting the case forward to justice.
