FAHW handle my claim with professionalism and was able to get the contractor in a timely matter to address the issue. I've had FAHW for 5yrs now and will continue to have them as a warranty
Our furnace want out overnight on Nov. 28, 2024. It has been 12 days without heat. 2 Techs were assigned. The 1st one never called although we repeatly called them. The 2nd Tech assigned came 7 days later. Part needed has not been approved by FAHW. Part Not ordered yet as of Dec 10, 2024. I am in the Real Estate Business, what can you do to restore my faith with this home warranty plan.
Horrible!! Had issue with Heat Pump. Service provider can right out to diagnose problem. BUT, took 33 days for them to come back to fix it. No heat or air for 33 days. American Home Warranty would do nothing. I could only wait. They kept saying back to me the excuses their contractor told them. Would not reassign to another contractor. Offered me $100 to fix it myself (cost was over $700)

The tech from Sears was knowledgeable about the type of heat pump that we have as well as being familiar with the problem we reported and took care of it in a very timely manner . Devin is awesome and I would highly recommend him

Had a leak in our toilet. That place my claim, and the tech came out shortly after. He had all the parts in the tools in his truck to fix it on the first visit. Really appreciate that he was able to get everything done in one day. He was very clean and efficient. Very glad we have the warranty.
I've still not heard any good resolution from First American Home warranty! It's been almost a month without a refrigerator. I'm requesting a refund for my service fee and inconvenience and canceling service! They are a rip off, and do not care about their customers AT ALL! I'M THINKING OF CALLING THE BBB!
Rude people not listening to what needed and doesn't care. Water heater was leaking and they wanted me to let it leak until they could get someone here to Diagnose the problem 3 days away. So I bypassed and removed it. So the leak would stop. They told me to put it back and reinstall it and let it continue to leak. But they will not cover the water damage to my carpet tile or hardwood floors. I SAID THATS NOT GOING TO HAPPEN. This was Friday and now I have to wait till Monday for the to come out like there aren't any plumbers that don't work weekends or after hours.

i've had first american home warranty since May I've had two minor plumbing issues and in both cases first American completely dropped the ball. The first one was a blocked drain that I needed a Roto-Rooter company to come out. I could not get anybody to respond from First American because it was in the night and weekend, so I just went directly to a Roto router and had them come out and fix the issue the second one which is still ongoing was hot water. A tech came out after a week to tell me that it was the mixing valve on top of my hot water heater that needed to be replaced. They ordered one which took another week. They were coming out now this is two weeks we've been without how it water and they had the wrong part. It turns out so they've had to re-order the part and they're gonna come out next week so it will be three weeks that we have been without hot water. This is really unacceptable and when I've talked to him about it, they just say sorry we'll talk to the contractor. Well that doesn't get my hot water and my family's been taking cold showers for three weeks and that is unacceptable. l

First American Home Warranty uses contractors that are not capable of diagnosing simple problems. I had an issue with the water heater and they sent a technician who didn’t find anything wrong with the water heater, not once but twice. The last time I placed a claim, I wasn’t willing to go three days showering with cold water in December with temperature in the 20’s Fahrenheit (-6.6 C). So I decided to take a look myself. Within an hour I had identified the problem and fixed it. I called FAHW to get a refund for my service call charge, first I spoke with Valencia, who transferred me to Mario the supervisor. Neither one could help me. I will NOT be renewing my home warranty with them.
A home warranty from First American when home was purchased. Water heater went out on November 26, 2024, contacted First American and repair service came out on the 27. Was told that the parts needed were not in stock and it would take a few days to receive the needed parts. It is now December 4th, have had no follow up from service company and have been told that it is an additional week at minimum for parts to be received, could be until December 20th, guess you don't need hot water for three weeks. Not sure what the warranty does as we cannot take showers, wash dishes, wash clothes etc. Thought this warranty was to cover things like this not to make customers wait for weeks to resolve issue. Don't believe the Advertising statement "if an item cannot be repaired, it will be replaced."
