We regretted not buying via Dales after we purchased a bike online that Dales couldn't get. The bike was ok but the service sucked (Bobbin bikes with sloppy assembly done by Gear Bikes, Kelvinbridge). Dales, by contrast, have always been friendly and their staff unusually helpful and informative. They spend time with their customers to find out what they want, educating them on the various components and frames available. Dales aren't cheap, however. But their stores are pleasant to browse and relaxed enough to spend time in and their bike delivery is excellent, with bikes being delivered in over-sized boxes to allow for them to be sent almost completely assembled. Online videos detail the minimal assembly required. When we need another bike it'll be Dales we go to.

Dales cycles gave their time, knowledge and expertise to competitors at the 2018 Glasgow european championship triathlon age group event on Saturday, 11th August. Along with many others I had a last minute issue with my bike and Kenny and Johnnie very kindly sorted it out for me. This involved removing a link from the chain and sorting out the gears. Brilliant job done. I got round the course with no problems; no slipping gears that I experienced on the familiarization ride. They helped out with all sorts of issues, minor and major and maintained their calm and sense of humour amongst a very stressed group of cyclists. Brilliant, thank you so much.

While I was originally sent a female bike even though I ordered a men's bike, I was told that the employee in charge of checking such online orders had been on holiday. Upon his return I spoke with him (Phil McBride), and he was very accommodating and helpful. He ended up giving me a better bike--of my choice--because the one I had originally ordered was no longer in stock. Even though I dropped the bike that they had originally sent (so it had scuffs), they did not charge me a restocking fee, despite the fact that I had told them that I would be alright with that. This is the type of customer service you should have at a company. I cannot recommend this company highly enough. Standing ovation for Phil McBride. Buy with confidence...

I bought a bike last year through the CyclePlus scheme! Phoned them up, sorted out the details, and everything from voucher transaction through to delivery went smooth! I'm getting another bike through the same scheme in a couple of weeks time and I know where I'll be going to make my purchase! Top notch! :)

Bought my Cube analogue last Feb, didn't take it for 3 monthly check my fault,it was slipping gears etc, booked in to. Ek, chap checked it over and adjusted all parts, no charge. Over the moon. Also my partners Scott 3 monthly check replaced a couple of parts that he wasn't happy with, bikes now running a lot better. 5 star service unusual nowadays.

I ordered a Giant mountain bike online, a few days later it was delivered with everything needed for adjustments. Online chat a great help also. I wish other companies I have had dealings with were as efficient as Dales.

From start to finish (all conducted via email) Dales cycles were way above my expectations of a company, Scott in particular was exceptionally helpful and proactive, wouldn't hesitate to deal with Dales again

Next time i'm in the market for a bike for me, wife or kids i'm going to search Dale Cycles 1st

Looking to upgrade my road bike and wanted to make sure that the next bike I bought was the exact bike i needed which could be a true all rounder. Having had aero road bikes, winter bikes and single speeds this bike covers all the bases. I spoke with the team in Dales and asked what the best balance would be to make sure i could get the best out of the bike for what I wanted to achieve in 2014. Opting for a full bike fit has really made the transition to the new bike really easy. I was amazed as to the various small changes that have been made have really made me feel extremely comfortable on the bike. I have been shopping in Dales for a number of years now and i am never let down with the helpfulness of the staff and the friendly atmosphere in the stores.

To be honest I was sceptical.... here was the only internet site that could offer the bike I wanted at the cheapest price I could find it. I placed my order and crossed my fingers, and I was not disappointed. As promised the bike was delivered on time, and as described! Would definitely recommend this company. Thanks

I was kept up to date with the status of a demo bike and ordering process for brand new Specialized Stumpjumper FSR model. I was emailed photos and information throughout the lead time. A minor issue regarding a demo bike was sorted out very quickly and efficiently to my satisfaction. I felt Lewis went above and beyond throughout the process.

I demo hired a Specialized Stumpjumper 29r to get a feel for the 2014 range and in particular the Stumpy Evo which I was on the cusp of buying. Dales helped out with the demo bike and explained the (very simple) process for the period of 2 days I had the bike for - even allowing me to pick up a day before the hire period and the option to return a day late to allow a full experience over a winter weekend with less daylight hours. The Stumpy was a good bike but not for me, so upon return to the store I explained my concerns and the positives/negatives about it to Lewis, the instore sales rep. He was more than happy to help and then queried what I was looking for and how we could narrow down my options from what was available in Full Suspension in the 2014 stock. I ended up looking at the Giant Trance SX, which I'd seen a few weeks previously but had bypassed in my focus on the Stumpjumper - oh woe me! The purchase process was swift, personal and 2hrs after dropping off the demo bike I was strapping the Trance SX onto the bike rack on my car outside the shop! Several weeks later and I've had the bike out for half a dozen all day rides ranging from bike parks, XC and utter rock fests in my familiarising period with the new machine. So far I am well impressed - other than a few minor points here and there which will be addressed when I return to Dales for the 8wk service next month - the Trance is running sweet and living up to expectations. This is a the second MTB I've purchased from Dales and along with the excellent, reliable and speedy service the workshop offers I can't recommend the guys instore any higher for their approachable, knowledgable attitude and willingness to help. Keep it up!

Arrived sooner than expected despite it being peak delivery time for Xmas and was fully assembled as promised. Big box was difficult to hide as a present but well worth it as I have bought another bike on line and needed help to get it working properly as it was not set up.

I bought my Wife a Specialised mountain bike for Christmas. It's a 29 inch wheel hard tail. It was a fantastic price for the quality of the bike. I am really considering buying one for myself. I have already bought a Specialised Tricross from Dales a few years ago and it was the same great service. You should definately give them a go.

Fantastic service and very prompt delivery and to cap it all a brand new bike at a bargain price what more can you ask for. This is the second time i've bought from this company and their service levels are very very good ... buy here you wont be disappointed

Time is precious but Alan took time to explain the benefits of a different bike than the one I initially had my eye on. I later ordered online and got it 2 days later. Couldn't be happier with the service of Dales Cycles, the bike is superb & arrived fully built up and 99% ready to ride. Thanks to all at Dales & a Happy New Year!

I ordered my bike on Sunday, online. It arrived, built, on Tuesday (Xmas eve). Properly built and almost ready to ride. I simply could not have expected anything better. Thanks to all at Dales.
