Bought a Pioneer DVD player 5 years ago ,finally started to have some skipping problems, only place to get a new region free dvd player is Bombay, so ordered a Samsung unit on Friday, got new unit on Wednesday, I live in Nova Scotia, Canada, so this was an international shipment. I tried to order something online and it went through fine, my payment went through and I received a verification receipt through email. The next day, I receive an email for a refund for the item that I had ordered, submitted by Bombay Electronics, and in the section where comments could have been added from them explaining why, nothing was written. So yes, my money was refunded, but I was more interested in getting the item, and am upset that they didn't even bother to spend the time to let me know why it was refunded. That's just bad business.

I had a problem with my Blu-ray player and got a proper answer a few minutes after I sent my mail.
We ordered thirteen Panasonic DMP-BDT260 Blu-ray disc players. Bombay Electronics shipped thirteen Panasonic BDT-270PS Blu-ray disc players without checking with me first to ask if the product substitution was acceptable. This is one of the most annoying business practices ever - it promotes an atmosphere of trickery and mistrust. Companies that engage in this practice will not receive repeat business from me.

Sony itself is a great product but costs $40 more for Blu Ray region mod. Shipment took place the next day after order placement and reached to Singapore within one week. No problem playing region A and B BRDs and region 1 and 3 DVDs. Very fine scratches on the IR window which were probably caused during modification process but very hardly noticeable. Comes with Australian plug adapter although order is from Singapore where UK plug is used. Although a sticker saying 110-240V is pasted on the player, the power supply label says 110V. It may actually be an autovoltage supply but I used my old 240V one to avoid risk of fire. Overall, it's a good buy.
