Searched specifically for a non smoking room as am pregnant and suffering sensitivity and sickness to smoke smells. The room smelt like stale smoke and had an ashtray in it, the whole b+b had a stale smoke smell. Owner wasn't interested when I complained about this and just said the ashtray must have been left in the room by accident.
We booked the room for a sea view, and that's what we got and not much else. I tried to open the front window and part of the frame fell off in my hand. The armchair arms were all fraid with holes at the end. I've seen better in the local refuse tip. The shower ...wasn't... very little pressure and not hot and lots of mould. The floor of the room by the window was collapsing, so we avoided walking in that area. Very Overpriced, unclean, a poor standard. The owners are not maintaining the property properly as we saw many leaks on the exterior pipework and many windows in a poor state of repair
went to the goldenbeachhotel in blackpool when i got there i had to pay for my room 174.99 when i went to my room the room was very black beding dirty went down to complain and was told i get what i pay for was told to leave would not give my money back so went for the police i know that i have lost my deposit but they can pay me back 116.00 not very happy with them had to booked into another hotel and it is very clean

We had a lovely one night stay here, great room, very quiet, slept with the window open and got loads of sea air :-) nice breakfast too. The couple who run it are very friendly and helpful. Our only grip was that they have an outdoor jacuzzi for guests and when I asked to book it their seemed some resistance because the room was booked that's next to it, so we didn't bother but I think it could have been good. We would definitely stay again and recommend it to anyone. Easy walking distance to town and if you don't want to walk they have a very decent in house menu too. Thank you for a lovely weekend by the sea.
We booked The Lindens in Landudno for 2 nights in August, it was awful, the owners had only been open 3 weeks & it showed ! They were very friendly, but the hotel itself was VERY shabby, our room had not been cleaned properly {including the toilet}, nails sticking out of doors, no remotes for either TV or DVD. Then at breakfast, no small plates on the table for your toast {just had to put it on the plate with tomato juice from the beans}, only about 10 or 12 breakfast dishes for 31 guests, so had to keep getting them washed, a family of 5 sat at 3 different tables on their 1st morning. Owner Jim said he'd been a hotelier for over 8yrs & actually taught others how to become hoteliers, well I found that very hard to believe as he hadn't a clue, also while serving breakfast he was dripping with sweat, not ideal when serving food !!!
Lots of Guest houses at different prices. I went to Isle of Wight and stayed in one guest house. Next week I had to go again and stayed at another one. Both were excellent. If you need to book use this web site.
Selection from Riverside web site , purchase and delivery was straight forward and prompt. The firepit has been successful although you have to place it out of wind to prevent smoking.Gives out lots of heat and looks good.
