My Mentor is really engaging and thoughtful. A mentee should know that as long as they put the effort in, the mentor will reciprocate it. The community sector is an especially beneficial tool.

being assigned my mentor took a while but having him now is incredible. He is very helpful and useful and knowledgeable, which is especially handy in a mentor. The community and masterclasses are also very helpful and informative.

Zero Gravity is an amazing platform which I found incredibly useful. It helped me with the whole UCAS process, applying to Oxford and a lot of help with my personal statements. The masterclasses provide an imense amount of useful information to help with any post-18 root that you decide to take. The one-to-one mentoring helped me choosing my universities wisely and guided me with my personal statement and the application form for UCAS. Not to mention how amazing the zero gravity community is in supporting everyone. I found it incredibly useful and I dont think I could have met the deadline for Oxbridge application nor be so happy with how my personal statement came along and the unis i applied to without the zero gravity community and my mentor.

My time as a mentor at Zero Gravity has been an immensely fulfilling experience. It's the kind of platform that I wish I had when I was in sixth form, which is one of the main reasons I joined as a mentor now as a university student myself - I am now working closely with aspiring students on their journey to secure top university offers. What truly sets the platform apart is their unwavering commitment to providing personalised, one-to-one guidance and hosting masterclasses that are truly unparalleled. Thank you, Zero Gravity, for making a positive difference in the lives of so many students and for allowing me to be a part of this incredible journey!

Zero gravity has provided me with an amazing opportunity to connect with a community of students from different schools and universities I aspire to go to. The support from the student I was paired with was amazing and the individual was so lovely and helpful.

Although I had to wait several months to be paired with a mentor the wait was absolutely worth it. I was paired with a mentor who studies my course at my target uni and she has been so beyond helpful in improving my application to Cambridge. The weekly sessions are a great way to get the 1-1 help that I have found is often lacking in state schools. Considering I don't have to pay anything for my participation in the scheme it is truly something that I would recommend to anyone hoping to go to uni!

Zero Gravity is a generous organisation dedicated to improving students’ academic futures by assigning university students to mentor year 12/13s, specifically based on their personal subject of choice/ future aspirations. The tutors are really helpful in revising/applying to universities but so are the admins themselves, constantly providing various resources and opportunities, and creating community spaces enthusiastic to address any type of academic struggle or enquiry anyone may have.

The mentor matchmaking system has been perfect for me: my mentor perfectly matched the description of the pathway I wanted to follow going into university. My mentor has been thoroughly informative and honest about the entire Oxbridge experience, helping me consider all of my options and what is right for me to do. Additionally, they have done heaps of research for each of my potential university options, allowing me to make the best choices I can for my UCAS application. They have also been nothing but kind and courteous throughout our meetings. Without my mentor, I'm sure I would still be completely lost on what to do for my university application! They have taken the stress off of tough decisions, and will be next helping me to further my grades in the subjects I am currently doing for A-level. I could not have asked for a better mentor, and being able to get their aid for free has been incredible. I would 100% recommend students who are eligible to apply for this experience.
