My mentor consistently put in effort each week, sessions went on 3+ hours at times and he massively helped with course content, personal statement and the STEP Cambridge entrance exam. My mentor was Dan who has a master's in maths from Cambridge and he was bloody brilliant to say the least. I'd recommend it to all A level students who have high ambitions

I was able to find a mentor who is doing exactly what I also aspire to do. The amount of help and insight I have now into general university life-and also admissions processes- is extremely valuable. I feel supported and not afraid to apply to university.

I joined Zero Gravity to gain additional support for getting into University. I was paired with a mentor who was currently attending university and they helped me by giving advice on my personal statement and preparing for university. Zero Gravity offers resources to help young students to reach their aspirations. They help to provide information on work experience offers and to help students to get into university through masterclasses/webinars, asking current university students for advice to build the start of their careers in the wider world.

Great mentorship advice through masterclasses and mentors. Really helped me get introduced to subject areas in biosciences

I have had a great experience with Zero Gravity. As I come from a 1st generation household, I was very clueless when it came to applying for university and my sixth form could only do so much seeing as there’s more than 100 students in my year. Zero gravity allowed for more tailored help and to form a good relationship with mentor. My mentor read my personal statements and always helped me improve them when she could. Also, she helped me shortlist universities, providing expertise when she could. She spoke about her life at university and how she was balancing her social life and university work, which I think will prove useful. Seeing as we studied similar subjects, she was able to show me her model answers, explain some concepts to me, and read my own answers. This also enabled her to relate to me as I know she has also gone through this process, which made me feel better about everything as A-Levels can be very stressful! Chans made herself available to answer every little question I had, she also checked up on me. I'm very grateful that Zero Gravity gave me the opportunity to meet her.

My assigned mentor has put in a lot of effort to help me choose a type of degree, and they have also helped shorten down my list of universities. It is also very helpful to look into the community posts and see people who have similar questions to me and be able to see answers posted.

It was absolutely wonderful to be offered the opportunity to apply for a scholarship! Not only is is the chance to improve my experience as a uni student, but it’s also very confidence-boosting. I cannot recommend Zero gravity enough!

Zero gravity was recommended to me by my teacher and no one else seemed to want to try it so I decided to find out what it was all about. I was initially nervous to be matched with my mentor because I didn't know if they would be a serious person or even if they would help. Those feelings quickly went away after my first few sessions as I got to know my mentor and we figured out the best ways to make use of the sessions. I had already made and sent my personal statement so even though he was eager to help me with it there was no need, so instead we turned the focus onto the academic side of things. My mentor was a fantastic resource as he allowed me to get ahead in my subjects, he did this by creating powerpoints about topics that I'd ask for help with or topics that were to be taught later on in the year so that I had a good understanding of the basics before going through them at school. My mentor also helped me prepare for an admissions test at Imperial College London by giving me practice questions and explaining common techniques that helped me tremendously. Thanks to the help of my mentor I now have a conditional offer at Imperial College London and I am feeling confident about meeting the triple A* requirement thanks to the one-to-one sessions.

My mentor has made my experience great! It has been so helpful in answering all my questions and helping to prepare me for university. My mentor has helped me open doors to university and directed me to resources that will help with my application process. Our meetings have been entirely tailored for me getting the best I can out of it. The community section allowed me insight into other people in the same position as me as well as great tips for things like revision! My experience of Zero Gravity has been a great learning opportunity and one I’m so great full for.

The UI and website design is simple to use. My mentor makes detailed power points on the topics we discuss. In general, the Zero Gravity team have been helpful when answering my questions and any problems I had. Maybe the ability to name the topic of a mentoring session would be helpful but other than that this is a great experience.

Zero gravity gave me the opportunity to connect with many others pursuing similar goals to me and allowed me to learn about the entire university application method. My mentor went above and beyond to help with with my application (especially my personal statement which I was struggling on a lot), as well as this I was able to talk about general university life with her and how the experience is.

Zero gravity was brilliant with matching me to an incredible mentor, who was dedicated and patient with me over the past several months. My mentor had similar interests to me, was invested in a variety of different hobbies that I shared and was happy to help me in whatever ways I required. This highlighted zero gravity’s dedication to appropriate and effective mentor-mentee relationships. Furthermore, zero gravity also provided several opportunities to do work experience and be rewarded for it, giving me great examples for my cv along with material rewards, which I appreciated. Overall, I was extremely satisfied with its service and would happily recommend it to others.

My original mentor unmatched with me and zero gravity was able to quickly give me a new mentor who has guided me through her own experiences of law. I feel a lot more prepared for learning law at university because of my mentor.

I had a great experience with zero gravity and it should be made more widely known about to other students looking for extra support during their studies and ucas applications.

With the help of my mentor Alisia, I have advanced my interest in modern politics leading me to engage in local and national politics; currently planning an event alongside UK Youth Parliament and my school to invite and convivence our local MP to join the campaign for Free School Meals for all students. Although Alesia’s main aim was to help with my university application, our discussions, and political and historical debates motivated me to seek opportunities for myself and not just to add additional words to my CV. Her tips and critiques concerning my mannerisms when conveying in the academic debate have significantly impacted me, allowing me to reach the Finials in the Supreme Court and BVL Mooting competition. If it were not for the support of her and Zero Gravity, I may not have had the opportunity to talk before a Supreme Court Judge nor realise my love for debate. I do not wish for this support to end just yet and I am excited to see how further I can develop under the guidance of Zero Gravity.
